  • Title - "How to Sing High Notes"

Content - "Well first you start at a high note..."

    Flawless logic

  • @sieyk "Sing" high notes, not find them. Go get the SS program if you can't find them.

  • Yikes I'm confused, another video told me to not use chest at all when singing high notes

  • That actually worked, I've just experienced my proper head voice for the first time. brilliant

  • love your hair(really) :D

  • thank uuu !!! so much IT WORKED.

  • ll in the back of my throat?

  • I have a lot of questions such as what is frengile (or ferengile, whatever)? How do I mix my chest and head voice together? Why when I try hitting high notes, I feel a pu

  • This guy seriously rocks. My voice is impressing me more by the second

  • Turns out that High notes are easy for me...

  • "e" says: laa laaaa laa laaaa!

  • jewish people and allergies....

  • everybody watch robert pattinson i was broken, that inspired me to sing

  • My parents were like...r e a l l y surprised when i started singing, but now they are so used to it,if that i do not sing really makes them uncomfortable...they had no idea that i have a musical gift...it happened few years ago and now i can play guitan and piano too.

  • my parents thought i was watching porn...

  • @metalhead971000 i had to sign in just to say "that's some funny shit right there"!!

  • @metalhead971000 why do you thumb whores always say this? do you blast your sound full volume or something? why don't you invest in some earphones and tell your mom to not live in the same room as you.

  • you look like Goku from Dragon Ball

  • Woo woo aaa aa aa mamama ;)

  • I wish I wasn't so awkward to try these when my family is around.

They would think i'm just.. being.. a moron..

  • O_O LADY GAGA EYES

  • Great advice!

  • at 1:22 pause after he says "spot" I pissed myself laughing so hard

  • @TheSecuritysix lmao

  • you look like Goku

  • he means "start in a full [falsetto]" not a "head voice."

and a glottal onset, is a sign on bad technique...

  • @madjosh23 Sorry, but its not falsetto, its pure head voice...head voice can connect to the chest voice, falsetto can't.

  • @raulscarabusci Pure head voice is falsetto, you are right about head voice having traces of chest connection though (hence it being full modal voice).

  • I'm sorry but I cringed

  • Thank you!

  • Dude. Your eyes.

  • "high notes are never easy for anybody" ? Professional singers dont really have too much of a problem, I would advise anyone to be cautious about taking vocal advice from anyone with a pop/rock background, most of them dont really know anything about real technique or safety

  • You look very pleasantly :D

    and it works!

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS HEAD VOICE I WANNA KNOW OMFG

  • @BMGRECORD Dude, calm down, look it up. It's when your voice resonates in your head. Basically, it's that high sound when he says "woo." Like when people talk to their dogs in a high voice - that's head voice too. People define head voice a bunch of different ways but that's basically it.

  • Wasn't that Falsetto?

  • rihanna need to take some notes

  • Hey, Chris, what would your normal chest range be ? I have been working on the singing success program for two months now. And I still cant do the nay nays, I keep breaking, then I go back to listening to all the info and look at your online vids. I really want to go beyond f#4/g4. But I just cant hit those notes. what the fucks the matter with me. I have been singing for a long time, but I just cant train this!!!!!

  • sounds terrible!

  • That vibrato is BEAUTIFUL! :D

  • he looks like a pigeon who left his nest on his head lol. good singer though.

  • @ori8u made my night.

(dad didnt heard what she said) me:mom is a dude singing

  • same hair as syd barrett haha

  • haha press 9 rapidly too and 2

  • haha press 5 rapidly

  • Is he wearing a wig?

  • Is head voice the same as falsetto?

  • @lachlanmornard Nope.

  • @RenanLikey what´s the difference then? i thought the guy in the video used falsetto

  • @lachlanmornard Here's the difference, this is different from what I learned from my Teacher but from my research it is true, The head voice is the voice above you modal register or chest voice, this register is basically your like mickey mouse sounding kind of voice in a sense, this is what he's singing in, in falsetto, it's the really really breathy kind of voice you may go into when you go high, but can be applied to any note you sing high or low

  • so.......what is head voice sounds the same like a falceto...

  • Here are 3 great tips on how to sing high. "How To Sing The High Notes - 3 Tips".

  • this guy has a supremely wicked voice actually, look up chris keller whole lotta love.

  • This guy has a naturally high voice, it sure is easy for him to say these, just saying.

  • @blackghostofmetal well then i have no clue how to use head voice :( i wish someone could help me out. cos most videos on youtube aren't clear enough about it. i tend to either sing from my throat or my diaphragm. both are probably wrong... i wish i could sing high like Paul McCartney, but still maintain a bluesy/bass sound like him. That's why i sing from my diaphragm sometimes and really squeeze it cos it gives me a similar tone; however, i have less control of my voice and sometimes it cracks

  • @queerp If you learn how toget into your head voice, PLEASE let me know

  • Press 6 :D

  • does head voice just mean falsetto? cos i know how to do falsetto, but my ears aren't the greatest so i can't tell if head voice is different. if it's the same then i can do head voice, but i'm not sure if i can cos i don't know wtf it means.... please enlighten me.

  • Your Hair. O_O

  • i have a question

i guess you are a tenor

and you start at a C5

so i am a baritone, do i have to start at a G4? or is the head voice of a baritone and a tenor at about the same range?

  • He has quite a high speaking voice for a man. I am a contralto and my voice is deeper than that!

  • @Kibouo i dont think so

i checked it with a pitch recognition software and is voice is going from C#3/D3 to D#4

which is quite normal for a tenor i think

  • Your a gifted singer and teacher, Chris. Thanks for breaking things down so fluidly in this and other lessons.

  • i can easily can hit high notes when some when kicks my balls with their toes.

  • HEY THANKS! IT WORKS!! HEHE STUPID ADAMS APPLE

  • wats a head voice ???? i'm confused a bit lolz

  • @jbabe174 falsetto. like when a guy tries to sing like a girl

  • @animedude107 A falsetto and head voice are not actually the same. That's a common misconception that even I had for a while. Head voice is still connected to the rest of your range while falsetto is not. (:

  • @khcodesrikurawks well then it appears i have been miss-informed. bummer

  • @jbabe174

do you notice how if you sing really high notes you have to go up into your upper register? thats your head voice.

  • @jbabe174 I belive a head note is when you sing in your "vocal crack area" (bad explained) In a falsetto note i you know what that is. I am not sure about this so don't take my word for it.

  • he kinda looks like Deren Kriss or whatever the hell his name is

  • I don't get why people get so many thumbs up for just saying balls -__-

  • this approach to sing high notes is awesome!

  • He looks like a madman if you pause at 1:17

  • wooooooo ah ah ah mamama na na na naaaaaa....teehee =)

  • This video was so simple and enlightening thank you.

  • I like that part of this program is accepting that sometimes we won't be at our best, we are all human and sometimes we are going to be a little off of our game. It teaches how to get the most out of what you have available to you.

  • Oh god O_O Im doing this in my house at 11:00 at night ....I woke my little cousin up.

  • I want to be able to sing as solid and high as Claudio Sanchez, but my voice gets really airy when I go high. :(

  • who are these people?

  • GO NASHVILLE!!! I want to come by for a lesson!

  • İ can sing like Adam Lambert now! Thank you soooo much!!

  • @MisterPicture YAAAY I KNEW I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO CAME HERE FOR THAT!!!!!

  • Haha I get kinda lightheaded. What am I doing wrong?

  • @mowiejj It means you're breathing correctly,you won't feel lightheaded in time.

  • he could've at least put on a hat T_T

  • Even if you don't know your range just hit a higher note than that one note your tryin to sing. That will give you a starting point...

  • uUuUu - A A A A - MA MA MA MA - NEY NEY NEY

  • Chris Keller is incredible! One of the best male vocalists I've heard in years. Singing Success rocks!

  • All I can tell you is that I bought Singing Success and started using it and it changed my voice almost immediately. I gained more than a full octave overnight and now it doesn't hurt to sing for hours at a time. Have you guys tried it?

  • Or get castrated instead... Gosh, I can't stand the fact that people only consider a singer to be good if he/she sings high. Good singing has nothing to do with that, you morons.

  • You have demon eyes! Stop trying to stare into my soul!!! D:

    There pretty cool though.

  • Hmm using words like "pharyngeal" may lose those less educated in vocal production. As a coach I've found it effective to increase my margins by using layman's terms or explanations. Just a thought. Fun show!

  • he's lyin bout that allergy thing .. not buyin it

  • This guy looks like a bird.

  • @bubbleabee dont hate

  • @bubbleabee

hahaha you made my fucking day XDDDDD

  • @bubbleabee hahahaahha

  • @bubbleabee hahahahahahahahahhahahahaaaaaa

  • @bubbleabee said the bee :P

  • @bubbleabee yes he does

  • so effortlessly

  • chris , your voice is higher geared than most men, you need to admit that.

you can hit high notes easily but your low ones are probably limited, so maybe your methods only suit certain male voices and most female voices. just an observation.

  • @MultiSnotface I have a low male voice and i found these tips actually usefoul.

  • @Sharkla good for you sharky, good for you

  • this is great i made me cum >!!

  • Your eyes remind me of Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. lol

  • this all is falsetto. Show modal. If You can't ... invite me :)

  • @grinvaldsjanis There was no falsetto in this video

  • @OfficialNickNakama Yeah. I Would agree with You by saying that its not a real full modal voice and it's no t falsetto also, but I called it falsetto because this coach with relaxing throat but with needed tension of cords made same result as falsetto - it's incomplete vibration of cords... and it's is like other register as falsetto. With relaxed throat and training You can make it without jumping from one register to other. Full vibrating in such high notes needs more energy, loudness.

  • u helped me so much :)

  • Whoff. I'm a bass, I'll start with the E below that, if it's alright with you.

  • every single vocalist at my school is a baritone, myself included and it almost bothers/suprises me seeing someone go higher than an A lol

  • @THeRMaLCL0WN Most men are baritones, but some of your "Baritone" vocalists are potential heavy tenors. Usually they will be baritones, though.

  • You're the man! thx it helped me a lot!! :)

  • 1:24 haha

  • I've always had allergies and i"m constantly clearing my throat and having lots of drainage, when i sing a little my voice gets tired and can't hold, what can i do about that?

  • chris is so HOTTT

  • @kennethc524 I agree. NOT GAY.

  • I don't know if this is normal or if anyone else gets this but sometimes when I hear someone sing a high note, I actually feel the muscles in my throat tense up as if I'm trying to sing it myself.

I can't control it and the more tired my voice is, the more I get it.

    Its a horrible feeling. :(

  • Comment removed

  • @JazzyMan1990 so you're not singing and you tense up just by hearing someone sing?

  • @kenogihebe Yeah on days when my voice is tired

  • @JazzyMan1990 I get that as well when i imagine myself singing the high note but it only happens when i listen to christina aguilera/Mariah carey or accidently come accross a Jessica Simpson song cuz you can hear the strain in their voices when they reach the high notes and that hurts my throat if that makes sense lol

  • @essayvee Yeah that makes sense, it literally hurts to hear people sing high notes when it sounds like it hurts them. It even sometimes happens to me when it sounds like they didn't strain to reach it.

  • @JazzyMan1990 It's not normal, try putting your finger under your chin, there's a muscle there that controls swallowing. If it hardens when you sing, you're straining. So try singing without it being rock hard.

  • @JazzyMan1990 yeahI've had that before. had it particularly with a warbly soprano teacher I used to have. I think it reminds you of singing in a forced falsetto and that kind of tightens you up.
