I have a lot of questions such as what is frengile (or ferengile, whatever)? How do I mix my chest and head voice together? Why when I try hitting high notes, I feel a pu
My parents were like...r e a l l y surprised when i started singing, but now they are so used to it,if that i do not sing really makes them uncomfortable...they had no idea that i have a musical gift...it happened few years ago and now i can play guitan and piano too.
@metalhead971000 why do you thumb whores always say this? do you blast your sound full volume or something? why don't you invest in some earphones and tell your mom to not live in the same room as you.
@raulscarabusci Pure head voice is falsetto, you are right about head voice having traces of chest connection though (hence it being full modal voice).
@jbabe174 Head voice is where you focus on when doing soprano, alto, tenor, falsetto. It's the fake voice sound. I call it the cheating sound. I mostly use it when singing softly to avoid disturbing people. Most singers would use it when doing a whistle or singing the soft part in a song. High notes is using head tone (to avoid making extreme loud sound when hitting high notes) and diaphragm to balance the sound.
"high notes are never easy for anybody" ? Professional singers dont really have too much of a problem, I would advise anyone to be cautious about taking vocal advice from anyone with a pop/rock background, most of them dont really know anything about real technique or safety
@BMGRECORD Dude, calm down, look it up. It's when your voice resonates in your head. Basically, it's that high sound when he says "woo." Like when people talk to their dogs in a high voice - that's head voice too. People define head voice a bunch of different ways but that's basically it.
Hey, Chris, what would your normal chest range be ? I have been working on the singing success program for two months now. And I still cant do the nay nays, I keep breaking, then I go back to listening to all the info and look at your online vids. I really want to go beyond f#4/g4. But I just cant hit those notes. what the fucks the matter with me. I have been singing for a long time, but I just cant train this!!!!!

(dad didnt heard what she said) me:mom is a dude singing
@lachlanmornard Here's the difference, this is different from what I learned from my Teacher but from my research it is true, The head voice is the voice above you modal register or chest voice, this register is basically your like mickey mouse sounding kind of voice in a sense, this is what he's singing in, in falsetto, it's the really really breathy kind of voice you may go into when you go high, but can be applied to any note you sing high or low
@blackghostofmetal well then i have no clue how to use head voice :( i wish someone could help me out. cos most videos on youtube aren't clear enough about it. i tend to either sing from my throat or my diaphragm. both are probably wrong... i wish i could sing high like Paul McCartney, but still maintain a bluesy/bass sound like him. That's why i sing from my diaphragm sometimes and really squeeze it cos it gives me a similar tone; however, i have less control of my voice and sometimes it cracks
does head voice just mean falsetto? cos i know how to do falsetto, but my ears aren't the greatest so i can't tell if head voice is different. if it's the same then i can do head voice, but i'm not sure if i can cos i don't know wtf it means.... please enlighten me.
@animedude107 A falsetto and head voice are not actually the same. That's a common misconception that even I had for a while. Head voice is still connected to the rest of your range while falsetto is not. (:
@jbabe174 I belive a head note is when you sing in your "vocal crack area" (bad explained) In a falsetto note i you know what that is. I am not sure about this so don't take my word for it.
I like that part of this program is accepting that sometimes we won't be at our best, we are all human and sometimes we are going to be a little off of our game. It teaches how to get the most out of what you have available to you.

@musicdork4ever no,lol he is singing in head voice at end when he sngs "nanana" "ohohoh" ut i guess if u dont know how to or cant sing in head voice u would do that in ur "fasletto". even i fur a guy u can still sing in head voice(u have a head right?),lol it mightnot sound good when u sing in head voice but thats ok u will improve(hopefull)
@543diditwork he just said he is being affected by pollen, lol i ko wpersonaly how he feels, lol it clogs ur throat and sinuesesso ur voice sounds funny, lool point is o he is singing in headish voice (as best he can, lol)
All I can tell you is that I bought Singing Success and started using it and it changed my voice almost immediately. I gained more than a full octave overnight and now it doesn't hurt to sing for hours at a time. Have you guys tried it?
Or get castrated instead... Gosh, I can't stand the fact that people only consider a singer to be good if he/she sings high. Good singing has nothing to do with that, you morons.
Hmm using words like "pharyngeal" may lose those less educated in vocal production. As a coach I've found it effective to increase my margins by using layman's terms or explanations. Just a thought. Fun show!
chris , your voice is higher geared than most men, you need to admit that.
you can hit high notes easily but your low ones are probably limited, so maybe your methods only suit certain male voices and most female voices. just an observation.

@OfficialNickNakama Yeah. I Would agree with You by saying that its not a real full modal voice and it's no t falsetto also, but I called it falsetto because this coach with relaxing throat but with needed tension of cords made same result as falsetto - it's incomplete vibration of cords... and it's is like other register as falsetto. With relaxed throat and training You can make it without jumping from one register to other. Full vibrating in such high notes needs more energy, loudness.
I've always had allergies and i"m constantly clearing my throat and having lots of drainage, when i sing a little my voice gets tired and can't hold, what can i do about that?
I don't know if this is normal or if anyone else gets this but sometimes when I hear someone sing a high note, I actually feel the muscles in my throat tense up as if I'm trying to sing it myself.
I can't control it and the more tired my voice is, the more I get it.
@JazzyMan1990 I get that as well when i imagine myself singing the high note but it only happens when i listen to christina aguilera/Mariah carey or accidently come accross a Jessica Simpson song cuz you can hear the strain in their voices when they reach the high notes and that hurts my throat if that makes sense lol
@essayvee Yeah that makes sense, it literally hurts to hear people sing high notes when it sounds like it hurts them. It even sometimes happens to me when it sounds like they didn't strain to reach it.
@JazzyMan1990 It's not normal, try putting your finger under your chin, there's a muscle there that controls swallowing. If it hardens when you sing, you're straining. So try singing without it being rock hard.
@JazzyMan1990 yeahI've had that before. had it particularly with a warbly soprano teacher I used to have. I think it reminds you of singing in a forced falsetto and that kind of tightens you up.

every single vocalist at my school is a baritone, myself included and it almost bothers/suprises me seeing someone go higher than an A lol

@THeRMaLCL0WN Most men are baritones, but some of your "Baritone" vocalists are potential heavy tenors. Usually they will be baritones, though.

I don't know if this is normal or if anyone else gets this but sometimes when I hear someone sing a high note, I actually feel the muscles in my throat tense up as if I'm trying to sing it myself.
I can't control it and the more tired my voice is, the more I get it.
Its a horrible feeling. :(

@JazzyMan1990 so you're not singing and you tense up just by hearing someone sing?
kenogihebe 1 year ago
@kenogihebe Yeah on days when my voice is tired

@JazzyMan1990 I get that as well when i imagine myself singing the high note but it only happens when i listen to christina aguilera/Mariah carey or accidently come accross a Jessica Simpson song cuz you can hear the strain in their voices when they reach the high notes and that hurts my throat if that makes sense lol
essayvee 1 year ago
