This guy will live to be 100 easily. How many 82 year olds are still doing a full touring schedule? He's awesome and his music is appealing to even those who aren't hard core country music fans.
my dad was in the canadian army and told us about this man in the US army who wrote this really cool song in his tent, in the hills of korea, then one day the song came on the radio, this was when I was a kid, I am 54 now, we were in the car on the way to school and my dad yells that's the song he wrote in korea, and they could hear him trying to make it ryhme all over camp., everyone loved the distraction, and they never dreamed it would be the only song he ever wrote. and a big big hit.
It's so great to see someone with a video that has all these great positive comments rather than the usual high school stuff people post! Here's to great performers and great audiences!
@eli7j you'd be surprised how many young folks like the old school stuff like this. When I read such positive comments from them on here it makes my day.
you know your listening to real music and a real musician when he sounds just as good or better live then on cd! such as this guy! love it! todays music takes a computer and you can sing! forget singing live!
This man can still sing up a storm. Sounds just as good today as he did way back then. I have the original 45 rpm record and just bought a new turntable unit so I can start playing all my old vinyl again. Great, Great Song.
Wow he doesn't even look or sing like an 82 year old

Leroy was a auctioneer before he became famous as a singer - hence the ease and quickness of the auction pieces in this song!
