  • Really nice Gilmour licks! Subbed!

  • @RockinReeseBoyd Thanks =)

  • How do you keep away the humming from the sound? Great playing btw!

  • @Namaskaar Thanks! Well, the hum is not veru audible when there is also music playing. But what really helps is good quality cables, effects and guitar. A bad hum can come from almost anywhere. You have to find out where it's coming from. Try taking each pedal out one at a time and see if any of them are the major problem. Keep in mind that all distortions produce more hum, but don't really produce it, they just amplify hum thats already there - sometimes.

  • nice feeling. great technique very clean still bluesy like gilmour.

  • @Rim90 Thanks man! :)

  • Nice guitar bro!! love that colorway!

  • @GIRLANDLAKAIFORLIFE Thanks! sunburst is awesome ;D

  • Awesome cover! Check out my cover of this solo! In my

    opinion yours was really good!

  • Nice demo!

I'm a newb... when you use a mic, could you plug it straight to say your PC input and record that way or do you need a mic preamp...?

  • @DarthG0m3zzz Thanks.. You can, but it will sound like shit.. buy an audio interface card and plug the mic into that :)

  • Ben sounds great as usual bro!!! Nice job!

  • @1976cyclist Thanks!!!! :)

  • great playing. Just a little avdice..... A little too deep you need some more highs and less bass and mid's.

  • @robertdambrava Thanks.

I don't EQ my raw tracks because it's also supposed to be a demo of the amp which doesn't have an EQ section.

And still, it's not advice, it's your opinion :P

  • @BenjaminMJ fine awesome. It's not opinion. David Gilmour has a different sound then you. You technicially play the song great. All I was trying to say is that if you play a cover sound like the band your covering. If not put the title as the amp your trying to demo. Sorry for wasting your time.

  • @robertdambrava im demoing all the gear im using at once.. this is both a cover and it's a gear and tone reference for other people trying out gear..

There are no rules saying i should attempt to get the same tone as gilmour because it's a cover. besides.. i can never get his tone anyway.. then i would need HIS guitar, his amp, his effects, his cables, his studio as well as knowledge of which he used for the recording.. NONE of which i do have.. so trying to get his tone is impossible anyway.

  • nice!

  • Really, one of the best Gilmour covers I've heard. You actually sustained notes. I don't get how somebody does his solos playing so st in ki ng ch opp y!

  • @joshie4330 Wow!! thank you!! :)

  • Can You make a video with "Another brick in the wall - part 1" - I can't deal with delay/chorus effect, and what should I do with the pick..

Besides that, thanks for videos, very usefull for me..specially "Mother"s solo

    (Y)!!

  • @OzzIRIS I have a long list of songs i want to play and im afraid another brick pt1 is pretty far down that list. I'm considering pt. 2 though - the solo ofc.

I'm glad you like my videos!! :)

  • Gret job brother.Again...:D Sounds great.Im playing on a Squire and its not good at all :DDDDD,But your sound is great. What we are going to do about Yet another movie solo man :DDDDDDDDDDD

  • @Martin870620 Haha thanks! :D Squires dont sound very good. Thanks for all the compliments!

I'll be sure to be doing yet another movie as soon as i find a backing track for it.

  • @BenjaminMJ Squiers sound good if you know how to use 'em.

  • @floydfan831 They don't sound good compared to american std! Of course if you are really good, you can get a squier to sound good, but still it would sound much better on an american std. :)

  • @BenjaminMJ Then you've never heard MY Squier. Any of my Squiers, actually. Little bit of work on them, and they hold their own against all but the very best of the best American Standards

  • @floydfan831 In terms of playability, I never played a squire that could live up to an american. in terms of tone, you wont get the same sustain as the americans because of the cheaper wood and hardware. Also you need to change the pickups, because the ones that come with squires are not very good. So I guess if you changed the pickups, the hardware and the wood, it's not a squire anymore.. :)

  • sounds great! ...thumbs up!

  • @jabman549 Thank you! :)

  • Great job. Tone is amazing, and the playing is perfect.

  • @floydfan831 Thanks! :)

  • Great!!!

  • @OzzIRIS Thanks!! :)

  • That's a great sound you've got there, amp sounds amazing I take it the amp is mic'd?

Anyhow you've got the gilmour stuff nailed......and that's not something I would say lightly.....

  • @TonyJackMusic Yes the amp is mic'ed with a Shure BETA57A :) I'm indescribably overwhelmed by the tone i get from this little sucker :)

And thanks a lot! Gilmour is obviously one of my biggest inspirations. Floyd is probably my favorite band, so that's why all my covers are floyd covers. :) I will be doing some Zeppelin soon as well. Or hendrix maybe? Haven't decided yet

  • damn you're good and nice tone!

    hello from india!

  • @yourdeadmother Thanks Sid!!! :D When you posting something? :)
