How to Recover/Fix a Corrupt Minecraft World

I tried this multiple times but it doesnt work for me. If I click cancel after it will make the world disappear and if I dont click cancel it will load my old world but before I can do anyhting minecraft crashes. Help? Please?

aha! Yes! It worked! my only concern is when i found my space again, every part of my map I hadn't explored was completely blocky! (and not in the minecrafty way) There where just sheer cliff faces into extreamly deep ocean... Its not the first timw i've seen that but it was still unsettling...

Idk if it worked, I have my map_0 but i spawned somewhere off of it, luckily I have my cords and the cords of somewhere on my map_0 but the place I spawned in is the exact same place as the new world so i'm kinda scared i won't find my actual stuff =(((

Sorry didnt work for me, mine got corrupted by MCedit and I dont know how to fix that, make a video about restoring a corrupt world that was corrupted by MCedit. SOrry didnt work, when I went on my world it just got stuck on saving chunks... then it went black.

@ThatBigGuy34 press the f3 key and look at the coordinates (x,y,z at the top left) and try to get to X=0,Z=0 (y is unimportant) and you should be near your original spawn point

well my story is i had mods on mine, but i got rid of em all. I deleted my bin and started fresh, one of my chests had modded items that were no longer in it. So when i opened it, a screan would come up and say "Saving data" then exit out. Well i tried destroying my chest, and then instantly the "saving data" screen came up. Now every time i get on that world, it instantly says "saving data" and instantly exits out. It was my favorite world :(

@Chrnillerkiller it's this bug that makes tundra biomes expand forever i'm on a bukkit server and on

world guard stoped snow and ice regenerating (and used //thaw 1000 to remove all the current snow and ice (btw the 1000 is how many blocks away from you are thawed so change it if you need))but the biome still expands (if on vanilla server or single player i don't know)
