i wish i hadnt bought this phone.. its a good starter touch screen.. cricket is coming out with 5 of them in a month or two.. ill upgrade to whatever they end up getting.. you cant send mms msgs on this phone unless u do it via gmail.. which doesnt always work..and the videos look bad from youtube..like i said a cool starter phone..

To tether you should just plug it in via usb. if not then google the phone to find the driver

No, this fee is an addition to the mobile web fee. This phone uses constant data to update the weather, rss feeds, news, youtube, myspace and check your email.

actually, I spoke with a few different reps for cricket and they said that you don't need the mobile web plan since you're already paying a monthly fee of $15....I just had to make sure to save myself some money......hope this helps someone else too (^-^)v

would u say this phone is even worth it because it looks like it has way to many problems...im not used to a great phone i had the messenger like you and i never pic message and the main thing i would want to work well is the widgets esp youtube..so would you recommend it to me?

I would, but I think most of these problems are on Crickets end, not the phone itself. In/around Philly, I've had no problems.

Use the data cable that came with it. Make sure the phone is set to Mass Storage mode: Settings>Connections. And make sure you move all pics and vids to the card: Settings>Multimedia.

you cant recieve pic messages directly to the phone but you can recieve the emails and download the attachments

It doesn't have a "ringtone" folder, just music. Other phones separate the two, but only a music folder exist. Music can be emailed to your accnt and saved to the phone from the email app, not the browser.

Only thing I have to say is thank you for taking your time and doing this video. I've been looking for a review for this phone BEFORE I bought it so then I knew what I was getting. None of the big sites did one, and I thought this phone couldn't do MMS. Thanks for doing this video it helped me alot. The phone seems like the kind of phone Cricket would have. It does alot but has draw backs that cell phones shouldn't have. I rather have the phone support MMS then have full HTML browsing. Again Thx

im upgrading from the messenger to the evoke to im alittle bummed cause i was planing on geting it the 15th but none of the stores got it yet so it pissed me off alittle

I too was a little pissed off. All the cricket reps over the phone said all the stores in my area have them. I went to the stores and found nothing. Just the other day I walked into the store and she quietly told me they had 5 left even though they weren't advertising them in the store.

I love the phone overall so far but this is the first cricket phone I've had (had 4-5 ) that wont let me send a regular text from my living room. I live in the middle of the city and have full bars...? Not happy with Cricket lately. Had the Motorola Hint for a month and the mobile web quit working..they could not fix it

UPDATE: Text works great. She deleted "Unlimited Picture text" from my account accidentally being that you dont need picture text with this particular phone anymore. Re-added it today..works great.

You can email pics and vids. You can receive and view pics through your email, not vids. You can't save pics to the phone.

It was stored on my HDD. Live tv should work in a similar way, but I need a tuner for my pc to really test it (Orb says it supports it though).

It should be automatic in your area, but I don't think EV-Do is available in every market.
