According to the SA Law Handbook, if there's no workmen on the work site then normal speed limit resumes. 25 only applies if there's workmen there. So the Taxi wasn't breaking any rules there if he was doing 50.
I think what happened with that taxi and green car is the green car changed lane to the right lane from the middle, the taxi went to change from in front of him in the middle to the right as well, ignoring the fact there is car right behind him entering the lane he wants to change to.
Was that an Indian taxi driver I saw? Not to sound racist, but that kind of explains the problem...they can't drive and should not be on the road much less behind the wheel of a taxi.
what led me to believe it was a t-bone is that there is a side street both sides of this large road - and cars (esp taxi's) cut right through all the time. The private car has it's front windscreen completely gone and shattered glass from it - is just in front on the right on the bonnet.
from all I know there could have been another car involved to that drove away, creating a different scenario
I had one taxi in front of me in the left lane, Indian driver, on King William Street, it was pouring with rain and two drunks on the side of the road hail him, he slams the breaks on, I swerved out of the way into the left lane and slowed down next to him and beeped my horn to say what the f*** he thought he was doing.
Mofo starts abusing me like it was my fault that he slammed the breaks on instead of indicating and pulling over in a safe location on the side of the road.
i like this australian radio much better than most the idiot shit here in america

Out of curiousity, I wonder if the police ever use any of your videos to convict the idiots that drive on our roads.

looks like the taxi went straight to that lane where the other car was, it couldnt avoid taxi and was not quite a t-bone but sort of a side swipe!
