I've listened to both versions of this song. Fraser improves it massively. Jeff Buckley is the well from which I spring all my musical bliss, but Fraser is a worthy vocalist who offers the best rendition of this.

Hearing the two lovers respiring to this song is bliss.

I don't actually understand what you aimed to achieve from this? What was wrong with the original duet? This is pretty terrible (sorry) and it still features jeffs vocals so I don't get what the point in chopping it up was in the first place... Sometimes things are better left alone. This is already an amazing piece, it doesnt need or want tampering with, cos otherwise...Well, this happens.

If I heard this before the original I'd never look back again... Think how many people have missed out :(

Actually Liz Fraser never wanted this song to be released as she's always said this was just a rough version of the song herself& Jeff had in mind, this is just a kind of "demo" version of the song. Liz & Jeff had a relationship at the time of this song and she talked about it in the documentary about Jeff's live & music, but she doesn't really want to talk about that either, she's a very private person.

Trying to prevent fans from buying bootlegs when all she provides in there place are often poorily constructed cds, is part of what I mean. All of Jeff's closest friends have a uniformly bad impression of her, thinking of her as an obnoxious kook. Jeff himself had as little to do with her as possible. This is what I mean.

Along with her appearing in his documentary, I also read that they dated briefly, which seems so strange to me! LOL

On the hand, I guess it's not so strange considering how much admiration they had for each other's talent. I know I had read that Liz was gushing after hearing "Grace".
