i apolgize for my daughter, she was not raised to be this way..i am not like that, and love all canoe family music. and i am saddened that some kids feel that this is a competition, it is not, and i do not feel this way...again i am so sorry
for sencoten and shmily 947, your response to the braggen rights i thought was rude, these kids are proud of who they are and where they come from, and people like you should not take that away. My daugther is very humble and has alot of respect for herself and her culture. she has never got up there and said she was any better than someone else, i believe all canoe families truely dance, and sing from the bottom of their hearts. do you even know anything about these children? probably not!
@westshorebadboy o siyam! the true humble ones stay quiet and follow their teachings, and don't throw dirt on the teachings of others... so its obvious that neither of the two who said it follow their own word on HUMBLENESS! I don't know these girls, but I can tell just by watching that they are humble because they're doing what they've been taught... people who don't have the strength to be themselves always attempt to take down those WHO DO!
Yeah not bad but the older woman that was dancing for the Muckleshoots, or the Tulalip's tops em all, sorry girls but you got a way to go before bragging rights are in place...remember the best ones are humble, and become like ambassedors of the people. Anyone can brag, and boast but you have to know that it is a priveledge to be out there too.
