Being a shelter volunteer I walk and socialize all the pitbull's I can, familiar and newly adoptable. Once I get past the antagonizers in the cages the pit just wants to be loving and wants to play with the dog in the next exercise yard. Never bitten by one and Im not worried about it either, thanks for posting the video
Your pitbull was chill, and I don't believe that any breed of dog will be 'racist' without direction/training from it's owner. I loved how your pit didn't seem to care less about all the other dog's aggression!
Mellow pooch! I like pitbulls, I met a baby pitbull puppy named Psyche early this afternoon walking on my way home!
five seconds into this video I could tell this dog was fine. Tail wage, ears relaxed, just a smiling. My boy Amstaff is the same way. He wouldn't be as relaxed at first but definately not agressive. Nice dog!!!
How old is this dog? Mine is 2.5 yrs, & he would be wanting to play. If those dogs were sending signals for him to stay away, my dumb dog would take advantage of his position and try to convince them its all good.I've seen him do it at a fence. eventually he was convincing though. he'll get between my legs before engaging in a fight. my Titan is an APBT. I've never personally known pit bulls to be dog agressive, all the one's i've known, till i saw dumb asses do breed them to be dog agressive.
Complete Bullshit all these so called agression tests.. People need to learn about other forms of life, and stop constantly try to have everything conditioned the way we are put togetter.
respect nature as it comes.. and if you wanna let it in your own life. take it as it is and take your responcebility. not try to brainwash every living creature.
this is a secure, submissive dog. aggressive dogs( any breed) are made
from them thinking they are alpha and they have to protect the family. duh. in my own experience pit bulls are strong, adaptable, clever, and extremely loyal. they are also closely related to terriers, who need a job to do!! pent up energy causes anxiety and insecurity. then, there you have it. a ticking time bomb. any breed. inexperienced or misinformed owners.
@Amb3lica I totally agree...My pit bull is a secure dog as well, and though he's not entirely submissive, he loves to play, and he will try to play boss by sitting on another dog, but he will make sure I have controll of a situation, as long as i do, he will not agress. If some dog is attacking him, however, i don't believe thats cause to say my dog is agressive, more so than self preserving. lil dogs bite him all the time, he'll look to me to get em off him, & he's never hurt one.
From an experience dog woman to a new dog man, can you shed me some light how you were able to do that? My boy is 2 years old and he's very aggressive towards other dogs. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Your comment will be highly respected for it may be the solution I seek.
i wonder why you only showed 3rd time walking though the gsd kennel? bit strange that im not saying that she isnt good i just think if your trying to prove a point you should do it in a way that is a bit more convincing but dont get me wrong i think pits can be good dogs they just need good and knowledgable owners
I normally do not like pitbulls because people do not know how to raise them. This video shows, by the posture of the dog and how it behaves, you have done an excellent job.
Ran across your video. I am impressed with your baby's non-reactivity to all the invitations to come up and look at their etchings. :-)
Don't understand the title of the video - it's not really an aggression test, is it? More of a check on reactivity.
Gotta say, this is one but-ugly kennel. Where is this, Somalia? I wish we could ban backyard breeders like this. I couldn't care less about the quality of that breeder's dogs - we don't need more to kill in our shelters. What a dump!
He doesn't look like 100lbs, a pit bull should not get over 70lbs. Anywase beautiful dog looks like you did a good job training him and he looks like he gets exercised! (very rare in my community sadly)
pits rotties i have both of em .. its all bout how u raise them.. mine get along with other dogs,people.. more laid back unless they sence that somethings up then watch out lil over protective.. but my dogs are trained VERY well.. even to the point with my mom havin health conditions between my rottie n my shepard /pit mix pull her to a couch where she can get to a phone if needed..
I have a female pitbull and she has no aggression at all. She gets along with all animals and people. My English Mastiff has more aggression than her. He snaps at her when she tries to play with him and all she does is lick him. When I give her treats she gently takes them from my hand. My English Mastiff on the other hand mouths your whole hand and leaves you with a pound of slobber. Euthanize the irresponsible owners, not the breed.
I would have never had a pitbull on purpose- but we got my brother's when he couldn't take care of it anymore. He's loyal, smart, energetic, and playful. On the other hand, he is aggressive. We live with him and love him anyway. He's laying by me right now. Would I get another one? Yes! Before I got him did I feel this way about pitbulls? NO! I was scared of them.
@obugirl04 glad you have been allowed the chance to own this wonderful breed. Is he dog aggressive? as if he is people aggressive...it is not in their genetics to be.
It's amazing to watch a 25 kg pitbull pulling a truck and jumping 6 feet in the air and hanging from a tire that's pending from a tree and all that... Yet a big dog in good shape is stronger than a little dog in good shape - Rottie, American Bulldog, Presa Canario, you name it. It would be interesting to see a Pit bull and a Malamute pulling weight 101. (Not all dogs are made to pull weights)
You're opinion is based on hypocricy and your compasisons are worthless. Who are you to say what's normal and what's not. A greyhound going by instinct attacking a hare is considered normal but a pitbull attacking a dog in the street isn't considered normal? Who are you to value an animals life. Pitbulls are the sweetest dog's on the planet towards humans. All that matters to me, since it is unnatural to think about another species benefit.
@mhrreplicacarbon What's hypocritic in any of the things I said? Of course a dog attacking another dog is not normal. Some pit bulls just don't act normally. A dominant male that pushes and shows his teeth to another is normal. A pit bull jumping to another dog's throat is not. Pit bulls aren't the sweetest - that's a very relative statement. Boxers are sweet and in most cases are more reliable.
Your comparison of rottweilers, pitbulls etc. is worthless and embarissing since you were talking about weightpulling. No dog is bred for weightpulling except for few lik the whopper/bighead bandogge, sleddogs and some others. Rottweilers weren't neither. Say it like it is. Rottweiler guarddog. Pitbull fightingdog, created with the idea of making the ultimate bulldog. Rottweilers have better guarding instinct, but a pitbull would rip it to bits. Pitbull has the most strengt, weight/power basis.
@mhrreplicacarbon Pit bulls are not the strongest dogs either. "Pound for pound", "weight/power", "strenght in proporcion of its size", that's all bullshit. I saw a pit bull pulling a car and I thought that was impressive. Then I saw this KANGAL beast pulling a 6 ton bulldozer - enough said. Pit bull would tear a Rotty apart. So what? Kangal would do the same to that same pit bull. SO WHAT?? It ain't an argument about dog fights anyway.
You make a comparison about dogs in a category most dogs aren't bred for 'weightpulling'. This argument is useless. Pound for pound an american pitbull terrier is the strongest dog out there, not the 6 ton tractor with a started engine pulling kangal video on youtube;). You are new to dogs I see, since you prefer the kangal in a dogfight discussion. One of these days you will find a website called therealpitbulltruth and you'll see what pitbulls do to bullies, tosa's and kangals.
A pitbull with dogagression is a good one. Like a grayhound with hare prey-drive. It makes them predictable and a well bred dog, since that's what they were bred for. This is accepted by society since the risk doesn't concern human safety. Don't sugarcoat things kid, cause you'll be fighting a lost battle.
@mhrreplicacarbon That's so disgusting. "A pit bull with dogaggression is a good one". Just... disgusting.
So, I'm new to dogs... ok. Now I know who's making useless, uninformed statements here.
American pit bull terrier is not the strongest dog, period. It's been already demonstrated in a variety of ways including dogfighting. A 25 kg dog can never be the strongest dog "out there".
God, are you 12. It is the strongest dog POUND FOR POUND. And since the human mind is cruel, you WANT to know which dog will kill which dog and I can tell you the apbt and the presa have most chance of killing another dog. And if you are laughing about a pitbull having dogagression, than yes you are so SO new XD
@mhrreplicacarbon I'm not laughing at anyhthing (maybe at you). Pit bulls being aggressive towards other dogs is not a minor problem. Pound 4 pound is an excuse for pir bull fans to hang on to the obsolete idea that pit bulls are the strongest dog in the world. I don't think your points of view are accurate, some things you've posted here are far from true. I've got to go back to my 12 year old home duties.
I do have a pitbull, have had other breeds, and I know the pitbull itself isn't the strongest dog out there, however since you brought it up in a know-nothing comparison now let me make one. The pitbull compared to other breeds is the best at what he does, cause it's the most capable fighter. The pitbull is pound for pound the strongest breed, not an excuse, check the weightpulling records and do the math.
@mhrreplicacarbon Maybe the national projects to protect the cheetah populations in Namibia and South Africa used Kangals because they're not one of the best livestock guardians in the world. The Inuits are so dumb that they've used eskimo dogs to pull their sleds instead of the almighty pit bull who can kill elephants and pull planets. I gotta go to do my math and the rest of my 12 year old homework. Have a very nice afternoon.
@RatedRKingofKings LMAO...i gotta say...yes...pitbulls...would need an abosolutely new coat to wear to do the sled hauling...lol...and they would need booties...bahaha...i guess pits..should just stay pits :D
Now the breed you brought up, the Kangal. The Kangal was bred for protecting livestock, is it the best at that? Not a chance, the Ovcharka is the king of that. Protection than? Not a chance, the Presa Canario and the Fila Brasileiro are the champs at that. Weightpulling maybe? NOT A CHANCE! The kangal holds no record in competition, is pound for pound weaker than many other breeds, and get's beaten by american bulldogs, whopper dogs, great danes etc. You are dismissed.
@mhrreplicacarbon Ok maybe the footage was all a product of my imagination. Or maybe you don't know about a breed - Alabai. I should've mentioned it. No need to "do any math" (Americans and their stupid phrases)... videos are easier and more convincing evidence. I watched Kangals, Alabais and Kavkasian Ovtcharkas beat pit bulls. Pound 4 pound fantasies were buried and left behind long ago in that huge part of this world you don't know, were all began - Asia.
@RatedRKingofKings I generally don't respond to people's messages, but I'm here now so wth:) A pitbull with dog-aggression is a good one yes. It is bred to be that way which makes it predictable. Society nowadays may not appreciate that instinct since we 'love' dogs, and not wolves, wild hares and boars. The pitbull is bred to be dogaggressive, dogo is bred to attack boars, kangal to chase (kill)wolves etc. Who are we to say which live is more important? A dog doing what he is bred to do is good.
@mhrreplicacarbon A dog doing what he is bred to do is good; but in this case, the dog is bred to do something that is not good at all. In Western society, dog fighting has been nothing but a recreative activity, a "blood sport", there's no need for it to exist and therefore there's no need to breed dogs to fight another dogs in industrialized societies like yours or mine.
@mhrreplicacarbon Asian shepherds who live a semi-nomadic way of life, living of their livestock and depending on the ferocity of their dogs to keep their animals safe, have a reason to breed their dogs aggressive towards other dogs (and wolves and bears). Only their alpha males will mate and that way they'll breed stronger dogs more able to defend their possesions. Those Asian dogs are a cultural product obtained following natural rules.
If attacked, pit bulls defend themselves - but not like any other. They bite and tear and rip and all that. Some individuals with good behavior and responsible owners, are still prone to become monsters if involved in a conflict for space or hierarchy with other dog in the street. That's not normal... nor it is natural.
fuck you gethemi... i'd rather shoot you even at your back than to shoot an inocent dog you cold blooded animal... you're net even human you cocksucker...
Not a full-bred Pit Bull. Fixed. And definitely not a "100 lb" dog.
BUT, Pit bulls aren't "instinctively" going to attack other dogs or people, unless a scenario is created. The worst scenario for a pitbull is for it to be loose, and with ANOTHER PITBULL. The nicest pitbull will turn into a killer, as many other dog breeds will.
I'd go with a rottie, who can protect you, has a calmer demeanor, and will overpower a pitbull easily.
You are right though. No Bully dog is going to instinctively attack people... a Cocker Spaniel maybe being the exception. :) Any dog can have other dog aggression.
pure bred pit...and yes... 100 lbs. his oddness still shocks me..as his siblings..did not ever turn out..the way he has..in stature...i figure..he is a genetic oddity in his growth..lol. he is still...a gentle giant...that..if pushed..would give a rotty a run. Rotty's may have stronger bite force...but..you can't beat a pits "shake" power...that is what over comes. My dog...protects himself...but..doesn't feel the need to kill. If you have a killer...it makes you irresponsible.
:( i want a pit so bad riht now i have a lab but i also want a pit bull but my mom doesnt seem to think they are nice and i try to tell her that its all how u bring them up but she doesnt trust me i wish i could do something about it
let her watch Dog whisprer, my dad and mom thougt pitbull was killer machines and they was born that way. Now they have seen daddy and junior and now they understand that it is the owner. I got a 7 month old litle pitbull girl named Selma, she is so nice love cats children and humans, dont have any problems with here =) good luck to convince you mom :)
Yea she watches it all the time. But her defense is that the chance of finding a nice one is very slim. I tried to convince her its just the way u treat them and bring them up.
that sucks dude, pitbulls are only like this due to their owners.....they r so loyal that if their owner orders them to attack they will...they only attack out of obedience to their master
if you have a lab...that is the right start. A lab..has high energy. If you are accepting to that..and are able to entertain your dog...then.. a pit...is ok...they are high energy...and you will find some..with extreme intelligence...not as much as a border collie..but damn close...those dogs..are the ones..you need to work..every damn day. I have two males, that are pretty laid back..but my female,.jeezus effin christ, too smart for her own good. Want a pit..fine...able to invest the time!
i had the same problem, but i made her ask my cousin (pitbull owner) if the dog was aggressive and he answered no, which made her change her mind and now im getting a pitbull this Friday.
you should do the same thing but with somebody that owns a pitbull, that's if you haven't gotten the pitbull.
@whONeEDZNaDeZ get the Bully Breeds Magazine and find all the info that you an on pit bulls. i have watched many and investigated the breed quite a bit so i can know more about my pits. i own 2 a male and a female. and they are very loving sweet and loyal dogs
@whONeEDZNaDeZ do what i do, if you drive, go pick one up from someone who no longer wants their dog, or find a stray (like mine) and bring it home, and say "mom she/he needs our help, it's only until i find a home, i swear" and then she falls in love with them. (: haha. plan on working that magic with a kitten soon.
Beautiful dog! i love seeing responsable owners, for all pit bull haters this is the reality wil la well care fored trained pit bull, amazing breed, you did a great job!
get bent retard. My dogs are responsibly raised...so from me..you won't EVER see the type of video your wishing for. Dogs that snap like that..are irresponsibly owned..or irresponsibly bred...so get a grip and get the fuck off my facebook moron!

Fuck you and your fucking aging mother. I don't need YOU to make a video. I see the shit day in and day out in real life. I've shot many of these dogs and I wont hesitate to shoot yours. So get your faggot dog off "YOUR" Youtube.
Oh my German Shepherd is so protective for our whole family, never even tried to open her mouth aggresively towards us. But she is so vicious towards strangers who come to our property. She has bit (no marks/bruises) a couple people but we had a sign on our property tellin them to beware of dog. But when she goes out in public she gets so calm and mild.
But our previous pit wasnt that good of a guard dog for us at least, but it was the nicest thing ever! He was even scared of cats lol
pitbulls are very serious dogs, German Shepherds are breeded too nervous and too drove. my stafford barks not only because a different dog was passing his way. pitbulls are calmer and more balanced in its essence.
nope..not alot of training. He trusts me. He trusts that I won't let him get hurt...so he has no need to be aggressive. He will be 6 this year...and is still a gentle giant :)
@08041975 that's excellent, how old was he when you got him? most dogs I see that are that calm are well trained and have learned the trust that way (since their owner's didn't know how important it is to monitor what they're exposed to as pups or got the dog as an adult)
Thats how you can tell if this dog is attacked he would rip another dog because of how he acted here,he was calm because he knew those dogs was just barking big behind a fence and he knows face to face he(your pit) would destroy them.
Its good though you have a Calm Submissive dog. Most people over excited their dogs before taking them to the dog park or kennel or something. The tail was mid way and the ears relaxed at the back of the head. Most people don't see the first sign of aggressive dogs which is Tail up ears up ridge up. If all three elements are up around dogs and it feels tense it needs to be corrected that SECOND! Good job though your pit is a good role model for other people and their pits.
thank you for this comment. Your words..ring true. I can read dogs...grew up around them..studied them. I love the pitbull breed...because..they are actually very human like in their reactions.
Your pitbull, beat my gsd, but I beat your pitbull, and my gsd you. That dogs are designed for different purposes. I love training dogs, does not interest me how high the fence will jump dog, how much will hang a tire biting. I appreciate the desire to work with the man. My dog's response to overload and stress. Quickly switch from a fight and aggression in obedience, in improving the ease of training errors. It can only comprehensive GDS.
I have a pitbull and a german shepard/pit mix they absolutely love each other and love every one around them! they are both very friendly to other dogs as well! i am so ready for this whole stupid pitbull myth to go away!
you are correct..i posted this vid originally...for all the haters out there...that will always be haters...to show them...that with the right type of upbringing..you can have a balanced pitbull. This dog (male) will not attack back..unless provoked..and trusts absolutely in me..that I am boss..and there is no reason for him to be insecure about anything!
I'm just curious to know how you trained your dog to be calm around other dogs? I have a pitbull too and she is my baby, but she hates other dogs and when she sees them she goes crazy. It is really hindering her life. We can't take her out for walks or to the park with us because of this and so she's stuck at home most of the time. Any advice would be great!
When I was training my pretty pitty, I would walk her past every house I knew that had a dog behind the fence. I would calmly keep walking past and every time she would start to show interest in the dog I would get her attention with a "NO" command, or if she wasn't listening a dog bite with your hand on the side of her neck or her ribs! It works wonders for me she snaps out of her fixation on the other dog. You can't let her get fixated!!
dont listen to that romanian fuck. i have 3 pits and they all act the same way, its called good training. its actually what a REAL pitt/staffie should act like.
u should bring ur dog out more get her/him around more dogs, if she has issues with other dogs bring a muzzle with u when u walk her/him. if u want ur dog to be calm around other people and dogs u need alot of social interaction. and try trusting ur dog more cuz they can sense when u feel uneasy or nervous and they usually react on that. basically take ur dog out more muzzle him/her and just keep praising it on the good deeds and bring bad behaviour to its attention. its wat i did. hope it helps
Actually a GSD aint all mouth trust me ive learnt the hard way and yes ive seen a GSD dominate a Pitbull in a fight and no i hate Dog fighting someone set a Pitbull on a GSD bad move pit got put on its back and its neck bit to pieces.
I agree, dog fighters are dirtbags,,and they sometimes try and make the mistake of setting them on a big dog, like a German shepherd,, wich is not a good move,, German shepherds are very powerful, and if its a dominant one,, that is very scary! This lady in the video has a well trained dog,, i commend her on that!
There was no special training..just utter trust in me that he was safe. He will be 5 this year and over the years he has only developed slight deffensiveness for having his space invaded by any males displaying dominant or agressive behavior. He will also defend himself if attacked...but...will stop when told. It takes a pure understanding of the absolute mood or reaction your dog has to stimulous and being on top of it all. He is my family pet...and my cats best friend!
My friend Lenny refer to german shepard as "Nigga Hatin' Dog" funny lenny has two pitbull dog. His boys are friendly though would not do same thing as vidio. (little agressive) I am afraid of G Sheppard. Pitbull of mine is named Tajipit.

Your pitt seems like a good dog but the fact is that 98% of pitts are Not like this. The owners are usually thugs and that makes the dogs they own very dangerous. There needs to be tighter laws on this dangerous breed. I always cross the street when I see one coming. The owners are outcasts.
My wife and I own two Pit Bulls. She is a CPA and I am the Executive Director of a large substance abuse treatment center. Most of the people I know that own Pit Bulls could hardly be described as gang members. Sorry but you are misinformed. Fortunately, the tide appears to be turning in the director of facts about the breed as opposed to myths. It is irresponsible owners that are usually the problem regardless of breed.
pitbull dogs are full of love. though they can be protective of family they make horrible property guard dogs for their people friendlyness. I came to usa with drug habit I conquered with God and treatment. It was my job to entertain dog if pitbull while friend robbed house. I sell insurance now.Not too much step down in society yes?(lol)
DAMN....you are truly ignorant, 100 percent of pits are loving loyal dogs the list goes on and on of how PERFECT the breed is...its irresponsible owners and dumbasses like you are the reason pits are looked at badly...ask yourself.. how many pitbullas kill anyone a year...then compare it to real things they should ban, people like you get me so heated
We need tighter laws on people like ewe. I've owned pits in Russa where at the time dogfighting was legal and I own pitbull now. amaising fluke! moya sobach acted just like the video dog. Sorry you are idoit.
your pretty dumb bro, the news depicts that only gangsters and thugs own pitbulls becasue for some reason the media dosent like them. german shepards are classified as a dangerous breed to by many rental neighboorhoods but the media says there ok because police own them. your more likely to get bitten by a chiwawa than a pitbull. its all bullshit take your head out of your ass.
You have hit the nail on it's head for the people that don't seem to understand the bigger picture. My favorite breed is the GSD. I love pitbulls too, but I don't like how the media has screwed them over by brainwashing everyone. It's all played in a political manner. Government = German Shepherd Dog. Ghetto = Pitbull.
my pitt IS a good dog. All the other pits I have ever met...are fantastic dogs. Energetic..happy..love kids. No..they may not always be good with other dogs or cats...but there are numerous amounts of breeds out there that are the same. If it makes you feel better to cross the street..that is fine...as in your neighbourhood alot of the peeps may be "tough dog" owners...and haven't raised their animals to be ambassadors. Please..use your judgement..and educate yourself a wee bit more.
What is wrong with you people? When are you all going to wake up and get real? YOU CANNOT JUDGE ANY DOG BY IT'S BREED, any more than you can judge a person by their nationality. All breeds have calm and pleasant individuals, as ALL breeds have agressive and dangerous ones. Even an aggressive dog doesn't have to be a danger. My 5 year old St Bernerd is aggressive to strangers. But she has NEVER bitten. WHY? RESPONSIBLE CARE AND OWNERSHIP. Secure fencing and a good leash! It's not rocket science!
honestly..i must say..with all the negative AND positive comments posted here..I find yours the easiest to relate to. I love my dogs..for them..their personalities..and the fact that there are just some things..that they can't deal with...and some they will take head on. I agree with you 100%
my 100 pound pitbull has a cut on his nose from my 70 pound golden retriever. The pitbull didnt even bite back because hes trained not too. i love golden retrievers but i can honestly say shes much more aggressive then my pit.
my boy takes the picking on..of my female who is still a pup. He also tolerates quite happily..the advances of my chihuaha x pup who is about 7 mos old and thinks my big guy needs a bath..lol
Why are people here so edgy? God. This just proves what an awesome dog this pitbull is. I have a lab/pitbull mix and my dog isn't even this calm. (She's not aggressive, just a hyper 7 month old) xD
Would you like it if someone said that pitbulls can be a little racist? i have owned, rescued, or trained nearly every "aggressive" dog breed, and i've seen more aggressive labaradors and chihuahuas than pitbulls and german shepherds. if you are against BSL for pitbulls, you also need to understand german shepherd dogs get te same bad rap and need to be protected too.
The reason why he reacted like that is because he's in good hands and you take good care of him. Keep on showing people that pitbulls are not as bad as people say. Once they get in wrong hands they can be bad especially if they get in the hands of a dog fighting bastard.
are u sure that pittbull is 100% cause thats a freak of nature how big he is i mean it could hapen but the average pitt is from like 30 to may 60 punds thats a huge pitt at 100
his mother was 70 and his father was 65. His siblings ranged in size from 50-80..and oddly enough..he was the exception from the two litters from those parents. My breeding..my dogs..so..i am 110% sure..lol
o i wasnt sayin it wasnt just makin sure its a good lookin dog to my uncle breed them to but his range from 44 to 70 but if actually seen a pit that weighed like 122 pounds no lie it was the only one i ever seen though other than ure cause most of the time if they weigh that much the be mixed with bull mastiff or bull dog but i believe u u just breed them in a big blood line that nice i would like to purchase 1 u got a web site
LOL..no worries...gotta love the dogs for keeping us on our toes. Yes..my goober..is uber layed back but with turning 4 this year..i am seeing some changes in him..though..for the most part..is still really layed back about everything
no wonder she wanted back in her truck, because, it was on the otherdog´s terrain. if you want test your dog´s aggression potential bring another dog (he/she isn´t familar with) - no matter what race - to your flat/house/ground and see what will happen.
i have already had that..had a boxer show up at my place..and it attacked my boy...he showed the dog who was boss by fighting back..then quiting when I said to stop. He only exerts force when push comes to shove..then..is done. May not be game..but isn't stupid. I am not about my dogs being game dogs..just being able to take care of themselves
once again more footage that dispels the vicious rumours and makes a mockery of breed specific legislation
no bad dogs just bad owners

this is a secure, submissive dog. aggressive dogs( any breed) are made
from them thinking they are alpha and they have to protect the family. duh. in my own experience pit bulls are strong, adaptable, clever, and extremely loyal. they are also closely related to terriers, who need a job to do!! pent up energy causes anxiety and insecurity. then, there you have it. a ticking time bomb. any breed. inexperienced or misinformed owners.
Amb3lica 1 year ago
@Amb3lica I totally agree...My pit bull is a secure dog as well, and though he's not entirely submissive, he loves to play, and he will try to play boss by sitting on another dog, but he will make sure I have controll of a situation, as long as i do, he will not agress. If some dog is attacking him, however, i don't believe thats cause to say my dog is agressive, more so than self preserving. lil dogs bite him all the time, he'll look to me to get em off him, & he's never hurt one.
sdsunshiness 10 months ago
From an experience dog woman to a new dog man, can you shed me some light how you were able to do that? My boy is 2 years old and he's very aggressive towards other dogs. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Your comment will be highly respected for it may be the solution I seek.
Thanks

i wonder why you only showed 3rd time walking though the gsd kennel? bit strange that im not saying that she isnt good i just think if your trying to prove a point you should do it in a way that is a bit more convincing but dont get me wrong i think pits can be good dogs they just need good and knowledgable owners

What a dump!

pits rotties i have both of em .. its all bout how u raise them.. mine get along with other dogs,people.. more laid back unless they sence that somethings up then watch out lil over protective.. but my dogs are trained VERY well.. even to the point with my mom havin health conditions between my rottie n my shepard /pit mix pull her to a couch where she can get to a phone if needed..
thickythickgurl06 1 year ago

RatedRKingofKings 2 years ago
You're opinion is based on hypocricy and your compasisons are worthless. Who are you to say what's normal and what's not. A greyhound going by instinct attacking a hare is considered normal but a pitbull attacking a dog in the street isn't considered normal? Who are you to value an animals life. Pitbulls are the sweetest dog's on the planet towards humans. All that matters to me, since it is unnatural to think about another species benefit.
mhrreplicacarbon 1 year ago
@mhrreplicacarbon What's hypocritic in any of the things I said? Of course a dog attacking another dog is not normal. Some pit bulls just don't act normally. A dominant male that pushes and shows his teeth to another is normal. A pit bull jumping to another dog's throat is not. Pit bulls aren't the sweetest - that's a very relative statement. Boxers are sweet and in most cases are more reliable.
RatedRKingofKings 1 year ago
Your comparison of rottweilers, pitbulls etc. is worthless and embarissing since you were talking about weightpulling. No dog is bred for weightpulling except for few lik the whopper/bighead bandogge, sleddogs and some others. Rottweilers weren't neither. Say it like it is. Rottweiler guarddog. Pitbull fightingdog, created with the idea of making the ultimate bulldog. Rottweilers have better guarding instinct, but a pitbull would rip it to bits. Pitbull has the most strengt, weight/power basis.
mhrreplicacarbon 1 year ago
@mhrreplicacarbon Pit bulls are not the strongest dogs either. "Pound for pound", "weight/power", "strenght in proporcion of its size", that's all bullshit. I saw a pit bull pulling a car and I thought that was impressive. Then I saw this KANGAL beast pulling a 6 ton bulldozer - enough said. Pit bull would tear a Rotty apart. So what? Kangal would do the same to that same pit bull. SO WHAT?? It ain't an argument about dog fights anyway.
RatedRKingofKings 1 year ago
You make a comparison about dogs in a category most dogs aren't bred for 'weightpulling'. This argument is useless. Pound for pound an american pitbull terrier is the strongest dog out there, not the 6 ton tractor with a started engine pulling kangal video on youtube;). You are new to dogs I see, since you prefer the kangal in a dogfight discussion. One of these days you will find a website called therealpitbulltruth and you'll see what pitbulls do to bullies, tosa's and kangals.
mhrreplicacarbon 1 year ago
A pitbull with dogagression is a good one. Like a grayhound with hare prey-drive. It makes them predictable and a well bred dog, since that's what they were bred for. This is accepted by society since the risk doesn't concern human safety. Don't sugarcoat things kid, cause you'll be fighting a lost battle.
mhrreplicacarbon 1 year ago
@mhrreplicacarbon That's so disgusting. "A pit bull with dogaggression is a good one". Just... disgusting.
So, I'm new to dogs... ok. Now I know who's making useless, uninformed statements here.
American pit bull terrier is not the strongest dog, period. It's been already demonstrated in a variety of ways including dogfighting. A 25 kg dog can never be the strongest dog "out there".
RatedRKingofKings 1 year ago
@RatedRKingofKings
God, are you 12. It is the strongest dog POUND FOR POUND. And since the human mind is cruel, you WANT to know which dog will kill which dog and I can tell you the apbt and the presa have most chance of killing another dog. And if you are laughing about a pitbull having dogagression, than yes you are so SO new XD
mhrreplicacarbon 1 year ago
@mhrreplicacarbon I'm not laughing at anyhthing (maybe at you). Pit bulls being aggressive towards other dogs is not a minor problem. Pound 4 pound is an excuse for pir bull fans to hang on to the obsolete idea that pit bulls are the strongest dog in the world. I don't think your points of view are accurate, some things you've posted here are far from true. I've got to go back to my 12 year old home duties.
RatedRKingofKings 1 year ago
I do have a pitbull, have had other breeds, and I know the pitbull itself isn't the strongest dog out there, however since you brought it up in a know-nothing comparison now let me make one. The pitbull compared to other breeds is the best at what he does, cause it's the most capable fighter. The pitbull is pound for pound the strongest breed, not an excuse, check the weightpulling records and do the math.
mhrreplicacarbon 1 year ago
@mhrreplicacarbon Maybe the national projects to protect the cheetah populations in Namibia and South Africa used Kangals because they're not one of the best livestock guardians in the world. The Inuits are so dumb that they've used eskimo dogs to pull their sleds instead of the almighty pit bull who can kill elephants and pull planets. I gotta go to do my math and the rest of my 12 year old homework. Have a very nice afternoon.
RatedRKingofKings 1 year ago
@RatedRKingofKings LMAO...i gotta say...yes...pitbulls...would need an abosolutely new coat to wear to do the sled hauling...lol...and they would need booties...bahaha...i guess pits..should just stay pits :D
08041975 1 year ago
Now the breed you brought up, the Kangal. The Kangal was bred for protecting livestock, is it the best at that? Not a chance, the Ovcharka is the king of that. Protection than? Not a chance, the Presa Canario and the Fila Brasileiro are the champs at that. Weightpulling maybe? NOT A CHANCE! The kangal holds no record in competition, is pound for pound weaker than many other breeds, and get's beaten by american bulldogs, whopper dogs, great danes etc. You are dismissed.
mhrreplicacarbon 1 year ago
@mhrreplicacarbon Ok maybe the footage was all a product of my imagination. Or maybe you don't know about a breed - Alabai. I should've mentioned it. No need to "do any math" (Americans and their stupid phrases)... videos are easier and more convincing evidence. I watched Kangals, Alabais and Kavkasian Ovtcharkas beat pit bulls. Pound 4 pound fantasies were buried and left behind long ago in that huge part of this world you don't know, were all began - Asia.
RatedRKingofKings 1 year ago
@RatedRKingofKings I generally don't respond to people's messages, but I'm here now so wth:) A pitbull with dog-aggression is a good one yes. It is bred to be that way which makes it predictable. Society nowadays may not appreciate that instinct since we 'love' dogs, and not wolves, wild hares and boars. The pitbull is bred to be dogaggressive, dogo is bred to attack boars, kangal to chase (kill)wolves etc. Who are we to say which live is more important? A dog doing what he is bred to do is good.
mhrreplicacarbon 1 year ago
@mhrreplicacarbon A dog doing what he is bred to do is good; but in this case, the dog is bred to do something that is not good at all. In Western society, dog fighting has been nothing but a recreative activity, a "blood sport", there's no need for it to exist and therefore there's no need to breed dogs to fight another dogs in industrialized societies like yours or mine.
RatedRKingofKings 1 year ago
@mhrreplicacarbon Asian shepherds who live a semi-nomadic way of life, living of their livestock and depending on the ferocity of their dogs to keep their animals safe, have a reason to breed their dogs aggressive towards other dogs (and wolves and bears). Only their alpha males will mate and that way they'll breed stronger dogs more able to defend their possesions. Those Asian dogs are a cultural product obtained following natural rules.
RatedRKingofKings 1 year ago
If attacked, pit bulls defend themselves - but not like any other. They bite and tear and rip and all that. Some individuals with good behavior and responsible owners, are still prone to become monsters if involved in a conflict for space or hierarchy with other dog in the street. That's not normal... nor it is natural.
RatedRKingofKings 2 years ago
@getemhi
I'm sure you've shot tons of dogs. Lol. The internet badass. Killing Pitbulls and posting the fact that you've done so on the internet.

supar6 2 years ago
@rurikvred
Rotts are a good breed. But I don't think they would overpower a lot of Pittie's. You don't see a lot of Rott's doing 6k lb weight pulls.
supar6 2 years ago
fuck you gethemi... i'd rather shoot you even at your back than to shoot an inocent dog you cold blooded animal... you're net even human you cocksucker...
orlandobondoc 2 years ago
Not a full-bred Pit Bull. Fixed. And definitely not a "100 lb" dog.
BUT, Pit bulls aren't "instinctively" going to attack other dogs or people, unless a scenario is created. The worst scenario for a pitbull is for it to be loose, and with ANOTHER PITBULL. The nicest pitbull will turn into a killer, as many other dog breeds will.
I'd go with a rottie, who can protect you, has a calmer demeanor, and will overpower a pitbull easily.
rurikvred 2 years ago
You are right though. No Bully dog is going to instinctively attack people... a Cocker Spaniel maybe being the exception. :) Any dog can have other dog aggression.
supar6 2 years ago
pure bred pit...and yes... 100 lbs. his oddness still shocks me..as his siblings..did not ever turn out..the way he has..in stature...i figure..he is a genetic oddity in his growth..lol. he is still...a gentle giant...that..if pushed..would give a rotty a run. Rotty's may have stronger bite force...but..you can't beat a pits "shake" power...that is what over comes. My dog...protects himself...but..doesn't feel the need to kill. If you have a killer...it makes you irresponsible.

He was even scared of cats lol

pitbulls are very serious dogs, German Shepherds are breeded too nervous and too drove. my stafford barks not only because a different dog was passing his way. pitbulls are calmer and more balanced in its essence.

bigbob6556 2 years ago
Its good though you have a Calm Submissive dog. Most people over excited their dogs before taking them to the dog park or kennel or something. The tail was mid way and the ears relaxed at the back of the head. Most people don't see the first sign of aggressive dogs which is Tail up ears up ridge up. If all three elements are up around dogs and it feels tense it needs to be corrected that SECOND! Good job though your pit is a good role model for other people and their pits.

It can only comprehensive GDS.

gameiohfreak 2 years ago 7
I'm just curious to know how you trained your dog to be calm around other dogs? I have a pitbull too and she is my baby, but she hates other dogs and when she sees them she goes crazy. It is really hindering her life. We can't take her out for walks or to the park with us because of this and so she's stuck at home most of the time. Any advice would be great!
bata062108 2 years ago
When I was training my pretty pitty, I would walk her past every house I knew that had a dog behind the fence. I would calmly keep walking past and every time she would start to show interest in the dog I would get her attention with a "NO" command, or if she wasn't listening a dog bite with your hand on the side of her neck or her ribs! It works wonders for me she snaps out of her fixation on the other dog. You can't let her get fixated!!

u should bring ur dog out more get her/him around more dogs, if she has issues with other dogs bring a muzzle with u when u walk her/him. if u want ur dog to be calm around other people and dogs u need alot of social interaction. and try trusting ur dog more cuz they can sense when u feel uneasy or nervous and they usually react on that. basically take ur dog out more muzzle him/her and just keep praising it on the good deeds and bring bad behaviour to its attention. its wat i did. hope it helps

I agree, dog fighters are dirtbags,,and they sometimes try and make the mistake of setting them on a big dog, like a German shepherd,, wich is not a good move,, German shepherds are very powerful, and if its a dominant one,, that is very scary!

(She's not aggressive, just a hyper 7 month old) xD
tearitrightup 3 years ago
Would you like it if someone said that pitbulls can be a little racist? i have owned, rescued, or trained nearly every "aggressive" dog breed, and i've seen more aggressive labaradors and chihuahuas than pitbulls and german shepherds. if you are against BSL for pitbulls, you also need to understand german shepherd dogs get te same bad rap and need to be protected too.

oh jeez calm down. I OWN a friggin shepherd too. Lordy.

I own a kennel you cannot determine dog aggression in that fashion???
panzertoo 3 years ago
Thats a lie. Many purebred pits are friendly dogs. Only people can train dogs to be fighters.

Yuor pitbull is not at all agressive but he is leading you he is walking infront of you he gotta be right to your leg but any way nice dog! xD
Zulfi37 3 years ago
The reason why he reacted like that is because he's in good hands and you take good care of him. Keep on showing people that pitbulls are not as bad as people say. Once they get in wrong hands they can be bad especially if they get in the hands of a dog fighting bastard.

08041975 3 years ago
yes it´s a he, I didn´t look properly before sorry for that, and when he´s like this
on your ground when other dogs are near, it´s
perfect..., my dogs would probably bark a lot and do some random bullshit, maybe only for
checking out what´s going to happen afterwards lol
truthspeaker2000 3 years ago
no wonder she wanted back in her truck, because, it was on the otherdog´s terrain. if you want test your dog´s aggression potential bring another dog (he/she isn´t familar with) - no matter what race - to your flat/house/ground and see what will happen.
truthspeaker2000 3 years ago
HE...is like that everywhere. Home..or out.
08041975 3 years ago
i have already had that..had a boxer show up at my place..and it attacked my boy...he showed the dog who was boss by fighting back..then quiting when I said to stop. He only exerts force when push comes to shove..then..is done. May not be game..but isn't stupid. I am not about my dogs being game dogs..just being able to take care of themselves
08041975 3 years ago
Shame that I didnt record the video that pitbull unreasonably attacked me.. ;)
