@aCut31 Perhaps you just like Metallica and they are more populair but its not just about taste. X Japan is technically much better. This song has good complex riffs that change often. Just look at Fade to black..the clean part sounds interesting but consists of just four basic chords and some hammer ons & pull offs not to metion the bad transition to the distortion part with triplets...I wouldnt call that a masterpiece. Know what youre talking about

@aCut31 I'm not gonna lie... Metallica's first four albums were pretty damn awesome. But after that, ehh... a few good songs on each album. Honestly, it's a matter of taste (I'm more of a Megadeth guy)... but X Japan on the other hand, makes simply amazing songs... just one after the other. A barrage of pwnage.

And again, it's a matter of taste. So you can't really compare these two bands. They're both great in different ways.

But even then they werent that great musicaly, based off of talent and how technical they were. Megadeth is a much better band in my opinion, because the music is way more technical and more metal sounding, also i hate Metallica for fucking Dave Mustaine over. But i agree X japan is awesome, especialy Yoshiki.
