@tapetedepadaria It's Tolkien's "The Road Goes Ever On," but sung to the tune of "A Kiss is Just a Kiss" from Casablanca. Do a search for "Play It, Sam"
One problem here: how could WB make such an epic in '44 and NOT include the studio's biggest star? Bette Davis would DEMAND to play Arwen, even if it meant having to play opposite Errol Flynn as Aragorn!!
This is epic, and kinda scary, because you can totally see this filmed like that by Hollywood these days.. and the rest of 2 hours filled with pointless special effects.
Very good Sydney Greenstreet was great but why does Bogey sound like Donald Sutherland. Listen to it again I thought it was him doing the voice over, and suggest Peter Lorre whould sound a trifle more sibilant !
This isn't fake, it was produced and then cancelled, so they used the footage on other movies. It's a very common practice in hollywood, especially on that time with limited budgets. Like if you know this.
@UoBtExFODA And then the idiots sold their brilliant script to some Oxford professor for peanuts, so he could go ahead and make millions with his cheap novelization ...
I love the "It's a fake!" comments. What, a film made 10 years before the book on which it's based? I believe 'No shit, Sherlock!' is the appropriate phrase here.;p
I can't tell if you're all trolling very successfully or you actually think that this isn't a bunch of other Humphrey Bogart films edited together and dubbed...
well lets see mix Casablance+The Falcon+The Big Sleep+The Third Man+Gojira+Too many other films+Tolkien= Lord of the Rings Noir style. LOL Peter Lorre as Gollum Brilleint!
my life is made. the acting the suits THANK THE LORD FOR THIS
