the vocals are hushed and warbled compared to the music itself. which is probably a good thing, the music is trippy. this makes my mushroom mix! all i could make out was devestaaaaaaaaaaaaatioooon. lol I guess thats all I really needed to know in the first place lol.
@SlimBoyArcadeFire, Sorry I couldn't reply to you directly. Something seems to be defective with that feature. Like I said, I love the music. The vocals seem to be nothing more than an afterthought. Don't like the trebly effect on the vocals either. To say that I just don't get it is a cop out. I could release an album of white noise and tell all critics who hated it that they just didn't get it. That doesn't mean that my album is good. This group interests me. I'll be checking them out closely.
@TIMOTHYSAARINEN I don't have any fucking clue what a 'trebly effect' is, or how something ever-present throughout the tune is considered to be an afterthought (especially the chorus, are we listening to the same song?).
Listen to more shoe-gaze, and you might actually get it. Cheers.
@destruktornaut, The vocals sound tinny, thin, trebly. Not her voice, but the production. Her singing is nonchalant, like she's bored. She's not putting much effort into her singing. It's like the vocals were thrown together quickly without much consideration, like an afterthought. Having said that, I like this group. They are interesting. I know plenty about shoe-gaze. I've heard and I own quite a bit of it.
