  • You should really make more of these with Edwina in it. Like ones where you have to find her in a really big city!

  • please tell me how it is that makes the end of level there are no walls and Edwina came to the sewers without stopping and attacking others

  • @davidmurillogomez It was actually sort of a fluke Edwina ran straight to the sewers that paticular time, she would normally stop to fight and you have to defend her. In assault mode there is a "mission completion" subroutine that takes over bots from time to time, and it happened to take her over when I was recording this.

    For the sky glitch (no walls), see spacelion88's video tutorial for it, its quite good.

  • how did you get edwina to not attack anyone? i made a map like this and she will run on her path toward the location ( level starts exactly like yours but on egyptian) and she will stop and kill people....which is not what i want...

  • @nickguitarfreak17 Randomness. In this take she started out as one of those "phase completion" bots with a 1-track mind to complete the goal. It's actually more exciting when she runs around attacking and you have to run with her, defending her until she changes gears.

  • @admiralhowdy but she does it EVERY time on your map......on mine she will actually back track and fight people....i'd love to give her that one track mind but i can't figure it out

  • @nickguitarfreak17 Maybe it has something to do with the positioning of the enemy spawn points. I remember they did take some tweaking. So there were less enemies for her to want to fight. Also, if they respawned off the playing field after being killed once, that might help.

  • I just noticed that if you try to use Deadwina in a story map, it's Edwina instead.

  • @themagicman2010 there's a movie somewhere on youtube where it looks like Deadwina was used in storu and she walked like a zombie for a half second before the player killed her and went on. I think it was the xbox version though. I don't remember whose/which map it was though.

  • Is it possible that a zombie could follow Edwina into the portal and get stuck?

  • @Mafujalate329 A defender could follow her, but wouldn't get stuck, it would just die on the mines and respawn back in town (only attacker spawns are on the mines)

  • @Mafujalate329 oh wait, those were barrels that killed her. I suppose it could be possible, but you might have to intentionally try for that to actually happen. The chances of it happening by accident are probably pretty slim.

  • Actually how did you fit all those things into one map, on PS2 and Xbox you cant fix that much on

  • Its always a tale of trial and error, and of compromise.  When out of memory I trade out tile types and arrangements that allow room for 1 more action, etc. Using a tile with permanent walls will give you more memory than using open tiles. Sometimes 2 stacked large open lows consume less memory than a large open, and sometimes its the other way around, etc. So I just try this and that until I get something whole, that fits with the limits. I'd bet this could be made on the others, as is.

  • Oh, I barely use Assault mode, I just make really insane Story modes that are hard to win

  • She's out in the desert signaling to you with a flashlight at 3:26. Actually, she got killed by an exploding barrel offstage, and is spawning and re-spawning on top of mines way out there.

  • Ah, very clever. I like how you made it a one life mission. It's good how people learn to get around the problems in mapmaker- like making "skyboxes" and a one life assault level.

  • Good question. Here, all the phase starts beyond phase 1 are glitched on top of a #45 deathtrap tile. So if you die anytime after phase 1, you will continue to die as soon as you respawn, so you'd just have to restart if that ever happens.

    If you look for my map called Hazard Pay, (which has the plans for it linked in the sidebar) you will see another way to do it that doesn't involve glitching.

  • Wow, this one was really cool. The whole thing with the little girl and the zombies chasing her was sweet. And when you put mines on the car to get it over the sandbags, that was pure genious. I would never had thought of that.

  • ai can go through "receive only" teleports but people cannot
