  • Wow looks little dangerous

  • Very cool! Except for kindling, we never split wood that small. Interested in knowing, have you ever put a good size round under there and what is the pressure rating in tons?

  • 200 000 01.02.2012.

  • So simple yet so epic!

fair play to the man, fair play

  • NICE!!

  • Interesting, but like you mentioned earlier, only good for hobby people.

  • I'm sick of all the psuedo OSHA employees who spend their union 15min breaks making dumb safety comments on YouTube videos

  • logs thats a laugh put a three foot across two foot long piece of oak trunk in it lol

  • just keep it away from gay people

  • @MrHumpshumps And your mom

  • @MrHumpshumps Huh?

  • Put a foot pedal on it too make it safer, like from a sewing machine. great invention. Be safe.

  • totally and utterly safe. even a child could use it

  • My girlfriend saw this and thought I was in that blue box! Hahaha!!!

  • There is only one rule for safety: Do not put your hands on top of logs,

but just never! And behold, the problem is solved :) Sensational! :)

  • @dralexwex

Odlicna masina! Best wishes for the New Year!

  • You know, a simple foot switch would have made this a lot safer.

  • 100 000 October 27, 2011.

  • safety glasses? lol it isn't his eyes that are in danger.

That has to be the most dangerous way to split wood I have ever seen. It is also the fastest. Your chances of losing a finger there are pretty high. Just one tiny mistake and finger is gone.

  • @consaka1 Lose a finger - what a hardship, more so if you are a dentist, as I am. After three years of using this machine I am convinced that on this machine may work exclusively self-confident person. This is just a hobby and the recreation for me, so do not worry :)

  • @dralexwex Im in agreement just look at some of the mad wood splitters out there, where as this machine due to the slow stroke and the nature vertical action looks seriously safer than some centrifugal / flywheel powered units.....obviously care is required when operating any plant and distraction when operating would be the principal cause of a lot of accidents...even driving down the road one must focus on the job at hand..

  • @dralexwex I am not a dentist but have worked int eh logging industry for 25 years and would have to say, this is a very dangerous tool.... even a confident person can not pay attention for one split second and have a terrible outcome...also, what is with posting the dates of the views and all that? Is that significant for some reason?

  • @1overthehillsfaraway Dear Sir, I have to mention that I was very scared at the first attempt to work on this machine. But the fear is already gone when I saw the ease with which the job is done. I have already noted that the rules must be observed as follow the rules while you are driving your car or operating any machine.

  • @dralexwex You break a very basic rule when it comes to operating dangerous machinery... and I am NOT trying to belittle you whatsoever! You should always be afraid. When you operate this thing you have, keep thinking about your hand being smashed and cut off... the blood and gore that goes along with that... THAT will keep you from injuring yourself. What is it about wood splitters and mouse traps? People want a better way when the standard way works fine.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway So far I have handled about 300 cubic meters of wood without any injuries. Trees that are used here for fuel are very strong and full of knots. So this machine to me and my neighbors very worthwhile.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway Respecting the basic rule: that does not put fingers or hands from the top of the logs, but the logs can be kept only the sides, each story of the wounding or breaking fingers or hands is outdated. Wood splitting machine that does not spend a lot of energy and time, in my opinion is a big hit. The total electricity consumed in about 8 hours of work does not exceed 1 €.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway For those 8 hours of work, one person ends up tearing approximately 9 - 10 meters cubic of wood - is not that great? If you have a better suggestion - let me know.

  • Idk if this would work or not but instead of pulling them apart like that ever thought of just splitting it in the middle then flipping it over and splitting it again?

  • @TheZohaun he did at 0:47 but it didn't really seem to help that much

  • ...this machine is similar to one i ran in a shake mill years ago. the part that came down was connected to an 8" wedge....the log was cut into chunks the chunks were split and the splits were sawn so we had shakes as the end.....

  • Safer than some of those I've seen but not faster.

  • too dependent on log length

  • my fingers are aching just thinking about a mishap. damn not a forgiving machine if you get sidetracked or distracted for a sec since that ram never stopped pumping into the wood like that!

  • that guy looks cool!

  • Why are you splitting wood that doesn't need to be split?

  • 50.000 :) may 28. 2011.

  • Those little rounds he's splitting would fit right in my woodstove, I don't even split stuff thats that small .

  • please!!!! where are your SAFETY GLASSES ????

    NICE MACHINE DO,

  • @manuewiko17 no need,,,

  • @manuewiko17 safety is for pussy's

  • @manuewiko17 Why would you ever need safety glasses for that?

  • @manuewiko17 Wet wood will not fly apart like dry wood will.

  • How does he or she takes to wet wood, not the best I bet. Every wood spitter I have seen on you tube has cut dry wudda bout wet, maybe then you might get drinks in between splitting wet wood

  • @blueange1s I can say that the wet wood is easier to tear than dry.

  • Where would i find the time to drink beer in between swings of the axe? lol, onw hell of a machine for smaller wood, i would love to make one.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=LOs1E_GYpRU

  • /watch?v=LOs1E_GYpRU The first and only- definitely.

  • New invention? Hardly. Take a look at this video of an old late 1800s -early 1900s splitter of same design. /watch?v=LOs1E_GYpRU

  • @LibertyAcres

excellent, first time I see this model and I admit that the original idea, but the mechanism is different.

  • NIKEL POUR LE PETIT BOIS

  • awesome device, id definately buy one of these. On another note may i suggest we shove tony blair under it arse-up ? xD.

  • @Scyllah lol yah and justin bieber

  • do we have to be that sereous when using that

  • That's reallly cool, I'dl ike to see the inside of it. Very good design!!

  • Who has not tried, hi will never find out how easy it is to work with these machine. Of course, the rules must be respected. Who posca while cutting a slice of bread, he certainly should not work splitting wood. This is idea for those who really understand the splitting of wood. No offense to others:)

  • What the fuck is with that music? I guess if you listen to rap, iy makes you feel tough, when actually it makes you look like a dweeb

  • I don't think you'll get an EU certificate for that....! Nice idea though!

  • This machine is only for my purposes, not for sale.

  • This song is Sooooo fucking inappropriate.

  • Why the hiphop? When was the last time you saw a black person splitting wood?

  • Where can i get one?

  • safe? yes, until you hit a knot and it shoots the wood into your torso. i guess it IS safe, compared to having serbs/bosnians chasing to murder you.....

  • Where can i get one?

  • What motor is it?

  • Not real safe looking...

  • is it :)

  • @timberfeller6

Actually, it is pretty safe as long as your brain is ON, and your hands OFF of the top of the log. It is really cool splitter, good job!

  • In fact, if you drive a car without a concentration, you`re so cool
