No it isn't. Richard Pryor was lighter skinned and had creases around his nose, he also had a longer face. I would have to say most people think any guy with a black mustache and afro would be Richard Pryor. Obviously a white guy did this video.
In its day the show was its days version of the old Batman TV series. Stars lined up for cameos such as that. Get the box set and watch close there are many more guest shots like that. One episode had William Katts mother (Paula Hinckley) in it. So the answer is YES!! That was the late Mr. Pryor.
haha, so nobody has commented on what this dummy said yet? all blacks look alike? did you mean black PEOPLE? and furthermore.. what??!! come on, crawl out of your trailer and into 2008 hitler
Richard Pryor was bigger than bit parts on TV shows when this series was out, but looked somewhat similar (this guys bigger arms on pause are a giveaway as RP has always been a skeleton).
lol I actually used to dress up like TGAH as a kid. Great stuff.
what is wrong with you? seriously... i guess this is why ppl like Obama and Alicia keys completely disregard the white side of their families, because they hear this type of factless idiocy being passed about as acceptable conversation.
You're just as racist in your observations. In your text you're implying that this idicocracy only comes from whites. It's on all sides my friend. Racism knows no skin color. It's purley demonic possessing all races.
Definitely Richard Pryor!!! I would say, but he isn't credited for it anywhere I researched his acting career..tried imdb,wikipedia,etc.etc. but got nothing...so if it isn't him then he has a twin bc that man was exactly Richard from voice and looks to demeanor and all...the way I remember him back in the early 80's
Not him. And why do people keep saying there is going to be a revival? I can't find anything about it that isn't 5 years old. I think it's dead. Certainly not a release date of July 2008 like brianpadraic claims. Give me one solid shred of evidence anyone is even greenlighting this. I for one would love a new show, so long as they didn't try to update it too much. It also couldn't be present-day because everyone has video/digital cameras and he would be exposed very fast, unlike in the 80's.
Richard Pryor died a year or so ago.... I hope that TGAH 08 dies the new film right... The original heroine was bad enough.... the Driver was just a bit player on the show... He was also in "Dreams",and in Capt. Bellybuster".
yeah the Greatest American Heroine was not exactly a fan-favorite cuz it wasnt the same without William Katt playing the hero. Sure, she's cute in red spandex but that's it. It was only showed in syndication. The pilot was never showed til then.
It cannot be confirmed, but I have heard that Michael Gray, who played "Billy Batson" on (old show) "Shazam" might play the new TGAH. But I'm not sure if Michael Gray would be young enough or even if he is acting again. Also, the "Green Guys" (the aliens who granted the suit to Ralph) maybe revealed to come from a civilization in a "hollow" Mars. I think like "John Carter." Any one???
The Greatest American Heroine is coming back in 2008 and I'm not sure Pryor would do somehing this small (of a role) But who knows? Maybe he owed Cannell a favor he was a fan of the show. Remember: think of all the A-listers who've done the Simpsons..
It's not Richard Pryor,it's a dude that looks like him. Richard Pryor was at the height of his popularity in 81-82 when this came out, he was doing movies, plus look this episode up on imdb,it's The Two-Hundred-Mile-an-Hour Fast Ball there's no Richard Pryor credited at all, plus Pryor's ego was so big, you would have see special guest star Richard Pryor. Don Drysdale and Mike Douglas are in this episode to.
I didn't even know there was a Greatest American Heroine! I was merely 8 when the series was canceled, but I remember watching it like it was yesterday. Thanks for the info, SexyGirl79
Trust me, that's not Richard Pryor. However, you can find Danny Glover playing a cop in GAH, in "Fire Man," when he busts Tony Villicana. The main thing about this segment that bothers me is the reason Ralph gets onto the major league team is to catch the guys beating up players, so you'd think he'd be wearing the suit all the time! As for this ep (200MPH Fastball), I can't believe this was the season 2 opener, not the next one, which is one of the best: Operation: Spoilsport.
the resemblence is incredible

Kind of looks like Pryor. He was about the age the bus driver appears to be in the late 20th century.

Poor Ralph. I think if he had stronger core muscles, he could have flown better. Pilates came too late for him. Lol

I don't see how this could be far fetched that it couldn't be Richard Pryor. He did play in Superman III. Maybe he was into superheros back then

NO, it's NOT. We doN'T all look alike.
Besides, in the early '80s, Richard Pryor was a superstar -- why in the Hell would he take a bit part like this ..?
