  • what its the song of the minut 1:18?

  • Such a flop compared to the awesome deep book!!!

  • Plastic plants, dodgy acting and a guy that cannot act while holding a wine glass.... Disappointed. the book is alot alot better :)

  • This was a fantastic movie

  • This looks awful.

  • @Useless2112 my gf was trying to make me watch this movie because I've been having a lot of sychranicitys lately, anyways, it looks like its from the makers of brokeback mountain. Watch this trailer again, it's filled with Gay and sex inuendos. Awful? I think you meant Gay.

  • @PyR0Star You should check out the work of psychologist Ian Suttie, who theorized that the true source of psychological imbalance in our civilization is a suppression of tenderness. Men (mostly those who can't think outside the box of their culture) are particularly susceptible, and think they need to be brutes in order to be "real men". They tend to interpret all expressions of sensitivity between men (except maybe at funerals) as gay due to their own homophobic inadequacies. Interesting stuff.

  • Funny how these writers always portray the Catholic Church as the bad guys. They also refer to the terrorists as "rebels", which sounds more like "freedom fighters". The "rebels" portrayed in the film are either MRTA, or Shinning Path maoist communists of the worst kind, fanatical and brutally violent. One more thing, the accent of the "Peruvian" characters is appalling, they speak with a very thick US accent which makes them very unconvincing. Call me "unevolved", but this movie bored me.

  • @Humbertusmarius catholic church is the bad guy. they killed alot of people and are still killing people indirectly, for instance the no-condom thing in africa!

  • @saftelskeren Exactly. Actually they decide that the children will be born with diseases and die in painful death.

I don't see any harm done in using condoms becouse than evereybody would be better, and you don't kill anyone, you just prevent life from forming. You prevent a sad life forming. What's wrong with that?

  • @Humbertusmarius

I didn't see the rebels as "good guys". The way they took the women out of the car, it didn't seem good.

Also, the Church wasn't even the "bad guy". And *spoiler* thechurchdudeshowsupandsavestheirassesatonepoint *end spoiler*

But, boring, yeah. Even the action scenes weren't good. It felt, cut up. Enjoyed the book alot more. It was nice to be reminded of the story, though.

I agree with the boring part. The action parts were even boring.

  • follow link

  • I've read the book and i loved it. i would really like to watch the movie too, but i can't find any page to download it for free. can you help me please? :) thanks :)

  • Alot of the comments here seem to be a good representation of the 4th insight

  • You were my silver lining, now I'm gold.

  • every silver lining has a touch of grey. ignorance is bliss. This movie is about spirituality same as the book. Get your face out of the tv and media and try reading something for a change instead of 4 channing everything on the net.

  • was having second thoughts about watching this, but now that i know that Mr. Redfield helped in producing it and writing the screenplay i want to see it for sure.

  • I don't know why,... but lately it came to my mind to re-reading this book!

also, I'm going to share this movie with my boyfriend- and ofcourse watching it all over again. I remember after watching it that they have made a good portrayal of the book itself. Watch it!

  • This is not about religion ,Omg why so blind. Gee!

  • Cigarretten?

  • wtf why on earth do they have a narrator in a trailer?!

  • wtf why on earth do they need a frickin narrator in this trailer?!

  • @MrDanielThomasWood in answer to your comment 1) no, not really. i just care more about the truth rather tahn what makes me feel good. 2) thanks. my students agree with you. :)

  • what at terrible trailer.

  • The book is an awesome read, plus the movie to reflect. It's time to have a recollection of our existence in this world.

  • Ok--I just read the book, and there are concepts in there that no human can claim as "easy reading." If you think this is a book that you can just breeze through, you're really missing a lot of valuable points. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I do not have my hopes up...

  • @creative368 we'll have to agree to disagree...putting aside from a misuse of quantum non-locality to explain coincidences, a total misunderstanding of evolutionary biology (the paragraphs where he's at the top of the mountain are laughable) and misrepresentation of energy, the rest is a pretty simple regurgtitation of christian and buddhist theology re-marketed for kids in bitesized chunks. all 9 insights wouldn't fill a page of A4 paper. the rest is window dressing.

  • Damn, the narration is absolutely laughable. The trailer looks like crap, which leads me to believe this movie is crap. 4% on Rotten Tomatoes? Damn.

  • While it didn't change my life or anything like that, but it was good novel and I recommend this book if you are looking for something that are easy reading that didnt require too much heavy thinking. Might rent the movie later, but it seems doesn't do the book justice...?

  • the book changed my life! all the manuscripts explained parallels in my life... i wish everyone would pay attention to the beauty of the natural world and stop the human race from destroying what is left of it.

  • btw da last e is silent dummies

  • another thought that just came to my mind: "does it make people feel comforted? probably. is it true? no. "

sure there are no scientifical proofs yet, at least no useful affirmations from a scientist view that could make you open up for this content, but for other people their experience with "celestine" is proof enough. so its true for them. it makes them feel comfortable and brings them to another state of happiness, awareness.

is it only "true" when you have number on your desks?

  • @GrasImOhr 1) yes, that's right. extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Scientists and mathematicians build great things like the internet because they get beyond their feelings to an empirically testable, intellectual understanding of the nature of the physical world. On the other hand, alternative spiritual people who trust their feelings can’t even agree amongst themselves when the Age of Aquarius supposedly starts or might end. Some feel it started in the 1960s...

  • @GrasImOhr 2) ...Jung says it started in 1940, others that it has not quite started yet. The same for exactly how many chakras we have or where our reflexology points are. Or with CP's 'energy'. It's all woolly and indefinable. educated people will not and should not respect New Agers as long as the New Agers emphasize 'feelings' so much to the detriment of intellectual understanding that they cannot answer even basic questions about how it functions. don't confuse 'belief' with 'truth'.

  • @GrasImOhr 3) shutting down part of your frontal lobe through meditation (dr.a.newberg's OAA centre) and feeling 'oneness' is simply the brain in a different state. the same for heightened awareness etc. it's easy to get confused by these things if you don't have the knowledge of psychology and neurology. if it makes you happy, fine. good. it doesn't make the book or movie true though - it does keep james redfield very wealthy though! :)

  • Oh My God! It's Narnia for "grown-ups!"

"A coincidence you cannot explain?" What an oxymoronic inquiry! What do YOU think the definition of "coincidence" IZ?

"A [...] that can take you across continents?" Well if u'r able to read the Bible, u'll travel through time, space, all the windows in u'r imagination, all sorts of people & places, all the human drama/excitement & Truth u can use; & 7 virtues, 7 deadly sins, & 10 commandments 2-keep you amazed & thriving thru-out Life...nZenSum2.

  • @evernetherall co-incidence is simply a man-made contruct. everything has a mathematical probability of occurring and the trouble with people who believe in this kind of syncronicity is they don't realise that it's all affirmed through regressive fallacy and communal reinforcement. there's no evidence (aside anecdotal) for syncronicity.

  • @knightm27

yah yah yah whatever you go yer way i go myne :\

  • @evernetherall that's fine - you can believe whatever you want - that is your choice. just don't get 'belief' and 'truth' mixed up. if you don't believe what i've said, you are of course welcome to research what i've said (i'll even recommend books/sites). that's what being TRULY open minded is: looking at all the available information, facts and evidence and then making an informed decision. to follow intuition as the be all and end all of openmindedness is hypocrisy of the worst kind.

  • @knightm27

Belief and Truth are not the issues here. We have knightm27, thinking like Scully on the X-files here, refusing to pay attention to multiple sensory inputs. It's good to be well-read, but if you have no real-life experience, you know--pushing the limits of your senses (have you ever been in love?), how can you think it's cut 'n dry with a chemical explanation? Honestly, you sound just like the ignorant types described in the book. Open-mindedness is more than being well-read.

  • @creative368 belief and truth ARE the issues. is what redfield proposing true? no. yes, i've been in love. i've felt all manner of wonderful emotions - but that's non-sequitor to whether the book/movie is true. e.g. we know that trust is just the brain in a state of heightened oxytocin production. The meme for blind faith secures its own perpetuation by the simple unconscious expedient of discouraging rational inquiry. There's this thing called being so open-minded your brains drop out :)

  • @creative368 as i stated earlier, being TRULY open minded is looking at all the available information, facts and evidence and then making an informed decision. to follow intuition as the be all and end all of openmindedness and to denegrate people who carefully investigate theories and accuse them of being closed minded ("you sound just like the ignorant types described in the book") is hypocrisy of the worst kind.

  • Good movie or not, this trailer is damn near parody.

  • one of the best books ever! hands down!

it has change my life and i had experience all insights!

  • @joesatva i agree it changed my life , i was not negitive anymore , if god comforts you, if this comforts you, as long as it is positive it is good for you , enjoy life and be happy,, love and peace to all, :)

  • what a terrible movie and terrible book. several hours of my life i won't get back. energy transactions? meaningful co-incidences? anyone with a basic understanding of physics, physiology and psychology can see the fundamental flaws in what redfield writes. does it make people feel comforted? probably. is it true? no.

  • @knightm27 You're a close-minded fuck, you know that? This book changed my life

  • @FireMoviesNL let me guess, anyone who doesn't agree with you s closed minded? how about looking at both sides of the coin, reviewing the evidence and making an informed decision? THAT'S bing open minded. try reading 'quantum gods' by the great physicist and philosopher victor stenger. the book "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenaince" was significant for me, but i still recognise it as fiction...thanks for the ad hominem tho ;)

  • @knightm27 Well, you might be open minded, but how can someone dislike this?? I mean, it's the most inspiring book many people have ever read

  • @FireMoviesNL there are lots of inspiring books. if you found this one inspiring, that's fine. i didn't. what i object to is redfield fooling people into thinking his theories are true/real. energy and evolution quite simply doesn't function in this way in the real world. i disliked it as it was dishonest, shallow and it's belief system childish. but you are entitled to your opinion. i wish you well.

  • @knightm27 what is your background in knowledge of energy? I'm trying to get a grasp on how you come to your conclusion... here is something that may change your mind...

  • @utek11 well, i teach physics and physiology and CP Prophecy, fun though it is, contradicts even our most basic knowledge. most of these new age concepts follow a similar pattern and concept based on idealism and vitalism - a circular belief system. there is no evidence for anything CP suggests. suggested reading "quantum gods" by Dr.Victor J Stenger, emeritus professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Hawaii and Visiting Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Colorado.

  • @knightm27 @knightm27 but as you know, each physical achievement (which is nowaday stated as "true") has once been only theory as well... it took some time to get proof, sometimes decades and several other scientists till ideas became physical "laws". tell a newton about quantums, planck and CERN and he'll laugh at you.

i dont believe everything written in this book either, but modern physics contradicted the classical, Newton's physic as well and is now an essential basic for daily life.

  • @GrasImOhr it's a nice point but a) redfield has no notable qualifications in physics to make these statements b) the 'energy' parts of this book/movie don't add more detail to known laws e.g. stengers work on quarks/neutrinos vs. newtons original laws, but redfields concepts contradict them and would require a complete re-write of everything!! on the basis of zero evidence. what we're left with in the movie is something fictional like 'the force' in star wars - it's a god of gaps argument.

  • Comment removed

  • The philisopy behind the movie is beautifully portrayed

We all need to be reminded that we are spirits living in this transient, material world

    Thanx for sharing

Alao checkout Prem Rawats message of hope and peace

  • good film, i should have rented it earlier. it's sad we have a 'culture' that is ignorant of real energy interactions, or to be more accurate is dominated by a type of consciousness that knowingly misuses energy in a vampiric way.

  • is this a comedy

  • this shit sounds wild,im about to rent this , this is like everything lifes is about that every one is realizing today

  • @Pistoneater Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate your interest in Peru. I honestly do. Peru is beautiful! :) I just felt that the picture that Redfield created of Peru was very, very inauthentic. I have nothing against the insights presented in the book. I just think that, from a literary standpoint, the story wasn't successfully fictionalized. But, fair enough, to package it as non-fiction would not have attracted nearly as much attention.

  • I haven't seen this movie, but they say it's really bad. Sorry, folks.

  • @mierpaul - who's 'they'? if u watched the film, u'd find out...

  • I am so gonna watch this!

  • i LOVE this movie!!!

  • brill

  • I love the book. I am super excited about this movie. seems to be spot on from the trailer!!!!!

  • Hilarious!

  • this is a brilliant book, im only half way through but the more i read i cant put it down!

  • This guy rocked as Cp.Ronald Speirs in " Band of Brothers "

  • Everything which happens, is meant to happen!

    Learn, Accept, Grow!

  • Fifteensixtyfive: Thank you, thank you, and thank you again. I'm a fellow Peruvian and when my friend showed me this book several years ago (he was heavily into the "New" Age movement, I felt this was just another version of white men exploiting our heritage.

I have nothing against white people (my daughter is half white), but it is usually bored white people dissatisfied with life that think they can find spirituality in others' culture.

  • @Soytugitana

negativity, ignorance, scapegoating (as u do with white people) and intolerance are the problems humanity has to overcome to achieve this goal of Heaven, for it is a state of being and not a place.

  • @fifteensixtyfive just another person full of anger and critisism is sad the world is like you,

  • @spottycats08 To take something that I said totally at face value, and then to label me as "just another person full of anger and criticism" is exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about. Frankly, I'm not surprised. Yeah, let's make this personal, people.

  • this movie can teach us to see our world differently and think about it. Not to mention it has one of the best portuguese actors - joaquim de almeida

  • The book was incredible but this looks kinda cheesy.. I'll still watch it though.

  • reading ths book at the moment is great, helps alot

  • regarding the "fiction" comment. The definition for a "theory" is quite similar. although im not 100% into this theory, at least he has one.

  • I literally just finished watching this movie. It was even worse than the book, if that's possible. It is so ridiculously superficial and horribly acted. But, given that the dialogue in the book was SO unnatural (and each character was basically the same person just with a different name) I suppose it was innevitable.

  • I see 333 all the time or even the time 3:33. Anyway a constant 333 is on my life and I think it is connected to a higher power.

  • I see always double (for example 22:22 ) numbers at the time or even at cars since i started believing in these higher powers. Incredible!

  • @Squadwin

doubles probably have some significance in your life personally.

  • @bunnykins110P

the number 3 probably has some personal significance to your life, whether ur aware of what it is or not. i would suggest u meditate and contemplate this thought.

  • looks interesting i love adventure movies lol

  • watched on bulgarian tv :)

  • they can make a better muvie, this muvie is good but is very fast, many important stories from the book is not her..

Sorry on my bad English :)

  • this movie came to mind as the episode in Mexico City unravelled this past week.

Another occurrance in Brazil earlier this year as well.

This movie ripples each year as do so many. The question is : When does the ripple complete itself? When does the ripple manifest into something new all together?

The answers to these questions are why I am here. The final book with a manifestation of each household having self sustaining energy is a very positive insight indeed:)

  • Read the book and thought it was very interesting, never knew a movie existed either.

  • i never even knew the movie came out!! i never saw one poster for it! did they stop it from being shown??

  • The film is good, the trailer is bad.

  • I'm starting the book and I like how he writes his story like a novel to really keep your interest. Cool thing is, the story is true :)

  • Dude if you have a good look at the book you will see the word FICTION written on their somewhere. yes it would be nice if it were true but that dosent make it so. Definition of Fiction - Books that are made up by the author, or are not true, are fiction.

  • @djh77

whether or not the story is true, the message is clear and simple if u take the time to really think about it. and whether u believe in a higher power (or what have you) or not, i think it's a good messageto spread. whether it will bring us to an ascended state of being or not, it would certainly be a better place if everyone had these beliefs, which i believe everyone does subconciously and instinctually. if it werent for society programming us we would all be alot happier.

  • omg i LOVE THESE BOOKS, i am now on the 10th insight

  • 2:30 something like the dragonball

  • i am in love by this book....such beautifull...and for me...true

  • My daughter in law gave mme the book. I just finished reading it and want to re-read it! Ik hou van jou, mmmy Mmmichael!!!

  • I read this book! its awesome, when is the movie comming out???

  • I'm REALLY fed up with films now being shot 'in the dark' all the time,,,,cant these studio guys turn the damn lights on !!!

  • yeah I know.. it drives me crazy.. their budget must be too small to pay the light bill

  • The book is wonderful. It is a MUST read!!

If you've read it and enjoyed it, you'll love the 9th Insight and the Secrets of Shambablah by James Redfield.

  • The book is great....it may seem weird but i can relate to this....:D

  • doesnt seem weird at all, ash. I totally agree. I'm halfway through the book. I love it!!

OMG you have to read Illusions by Richard Bach. That and Celestine Prophecy are my BIBLES pretty much. How did you find the celestine prophecy? My mum showed it to me :)

  • the book its realy realy good!!i didn't so the movie...

  • read the book. it will make you think twice about your life.

  • Are you serious?? hahaha

  • this movie was incredible! its not a mormon thing at all really! it was amazing! it would be awesome if we all achieved the 9 insights and were able to live in peace and harmony. yeah the special effects may not have been awesome, but the story line was really good. id suggest it! just dont judge a book by its cover!

  • @beachrummer LOL Agreed, not like mormonism at alllll. Mormonism is a cult... I grew up mormonl

  • terrible trailer. looks like a mormon thing, even if it's not. this trailer goes to show how important the voice over guy and te background music is.

  • did barnet bain produce this?

  • why isnt it rated ?

    that film seems amazing anws

and its totaly not like 'the lord of the rings' wtf?

  • This doesn't seem very legit. Not to mention I don't recall it coming out in 06, lol. Or nearly as good as the book.

  • I guess it has come out though... I found it on youtube, ha.

  • Just read the entry on Wikipedia - sounds like a load of codswallop and the film like a very bad student effort. Those who enjoy the book will no doubt enjoy the film.

  • one of the best books i have ever read, i only hope this movie does it justice

  • @portraitofjimmy this movie dont come close to the book:(

  • is there too some comedy in this movie???

  • This movie has Gossip Girls Matthew Settle(Rufus Humphrey) and Prison Breaks Sarah Wayne Callies (Dr.Sara Tancredi) it was good.

  • i much prefer the book, its amazing. If u havnt already definatly read it :)

  • What was the 9th prophecy?

  • wow, my last comment had bad grammar please forgive. I simply meant that I felt what they describe in this movie long before seeing this. I have not read the book but I feel that this has truth in it.

  • As a Christian, I have read this, and this is closer to what Jesus preached. This is the truths that he preached the no longer have meaning. I believed in something similar to the aura long before seeing this interpretation.

  • hey!!! has neone tried dere handz at actually seeing da energy ???? do tell me guys n gals!

  • Yes, its called aura. Everything has/is energy/aura and can be seen. Practise also helps us see more readily and in colour too. Everything comprises of energy vibrating at different levels thus changing the colour and frequency. Good luck :-)

  • Fact: movies feelings and visuals based on and LSD trip.

  • whatever gets you connected. The double helix and DNA structure was also conceived on LSD.

  • good comment, ur cool

  • 5 Stars from me.

  • Why?

  • this film was amazing, beats the lord of the rings hands down ten times over

  • Lord of the rings? What has this film got to do with the lord of the rings? Its nothing like it? Its like comparing 'The Secret' to harry potter?!

  • lmao so true

  • I read 10 years ago and I remember the auras that we can learn from all lives and I tried once in the very morning and I realized myself that it's true. We have to think more for the positive words for the positive minds...I didn't see the movie but from this vid I can feel what's important for our better life and future. For peace, harmony and wisdom...

  • Any film with Sarah Tankreti should be good!!

  • The book was excellent - cannot wait to watch the movie.

  • should i read the book first?

  • The book is better and a little bit different. Watch the movie first and then read the book.

  • Book always!

  • The movie was great. My family and friends who did NOT read the book loved it. However, I read the book when it was first released and finished it in one day. I couldn't put it down. I was in my early twenties and the story and content transformed me in so many ways. I began gifting the book for birthdays and christmas wanting to share the change in consciousnes. For those of you who have NOT read the book, it far exceeds the movie. AMAZING!

  • My mum loved this film I watched it and thought it was alright :)

  • behave children

  • by the way this is Robyn Redfield...:D

have a great fifth age gee!

  • No prophecy, no revelations.

Just a mix of old wisdom.

We live in an energetic world,

    and thoughs attract events.Right.

But,just be aware that it is NOT new.

And this is not even political, not even litterature. Just a big mix mistake to make some noise. Don't think you found the truth.

  • who are you? God? do u know everything huh?

are u gonna come down to my house and save me if the world gets wiped out are you ms tough nuts. let people do what they want.

    The FOUNDER.

  • I couldnt put the book down, then at the end the followers were able to make themselves invisible to avoid people with guns searching for them. i was disgusted. just like the idea of a virgin woman having a child, i just switch off and come back to reality

  • i just read the book. it was amazing though i have second thoughts of believing and applying it. the insights, i believe, were psychological explanations of why we humans act the way we are now. some people told me that it isn't just fiction. can anyone tell me some information bout this? is it really true or not? thanks! God bless!

  • there is a real prophecy about a place like that in south america

it was writen by one of the lamas in Tibet

    search for it in google

its part of the same prophecy that predicted that the chinese communist would invade the Tibet

    its about to happen...

the time to change ours lives is now

    May God bless us all.

  • these things are true. I have experienced them myself, search within your heart, ask God to direct you. and believe in Jesus. Read ther Secret to Shambala by the same author

  • I watch this trailer everytime i think of something boring

  • i saw the movie just this weekend I loved it I cried my eyes out aftwerwards ... if the whole world just could have the insights the this world would be for sure a heavenly peaceful place ...

  • If you like the book, don't watch it. This movie shouldn't have been made in US. that's for sure.

    It's terrible.

  • What a crappy trailer. Maybe it's a good film, maybe there's a significant message there - but enough with the bad actor and voice over!

  • 2012 marks the beginning of a global Golden Age of Peace and Oneness. Please check my channel for more. Blessings in Love and Gratitude, World of Oneness

  • I was disappointed in the movie just because it's not a very good movie.I read the book 10 years ago,1997, and always wished a "big movie" would be made based on the book to introduce it to the masses.A big Hollywood blockbuster movie that would get everyone talking.I believe in the power of positive energy and how on a grand level, millions of people, it can effect 'real world' situations.

  • Umm... as a matter of fact it does... :D

  • hahah wow for someone who uses big words, you sure as hell don't know what the fuck your talking about!

  • Livewire your a cynical human. I agree that this film looks cheesy but you can't ignore whats happening in the world right now. It's your negativity and unwillingness to believe in the power of energy that makes you feel incomplete. Ask why doors don't open up for you. Ask why your overtly cynical and negative just because you lack so much love in your own life.

    Cheer up.

  • i agree...the time is right.this book was amazing...well..it gave me a lot to think about

  • The book is awsome! I read all the books after to and they ROCK!

  • This seems rather cheesy and inaccurate =( I hope they don't ruin the book with the movie liek they usually do

  • I agree! They should just leave the book alone!
