However, since the ODST's in the Warthog were carrying that laser designator, which was vital to finding the Chief, the UNSC decided they'd let the Warthog, which has much more ability to dodge fire, take the package, rather than the relatively slow and vulnerable Pelican. If the pelican took the ODST's, it most likely would have been shot down, and the Chief would have been lost.

@D370n470r Halo vehicles (I noticed a while ago) look very similar to Isuzu cars. Don't know the exact name, but if you look at the warthog and the trucks from Halo 3, and then compare them to google/bing images of Isuzu cars, they are pretty much identical to a few of them.

Blomkamp had a shoestring budget of 30 million dollars to produce a heavily ladend special effects driven story, of which turned out to rival anything seen in Hollywood with a budget of ten times that. It was also Blomkamps directorial debute, and when you consider the shit dickheads like McG and Michael Bay put out with mega-budgets, District 9 was highly impressive for a first film. Blomkamp is a talent.

As much as I loved District 9, I think I would've appreciated a Halo movie a lot more, considering the alternative video game movies we have out there. Which are all really shitty, if I say so myself. The best we have now is Prince of Persia, for Christ's sake.

In any case, this kicks ass. The only jarring thing is the lack of variety in terms of the Covenant. Brutes aren't all that common, are they? I would've liked to see some Grunts, if nothing else. Maybe a Jackal or three.

I felt nothing for the Shrimp Cocktail creatures at all,... because if their too stupid to utilize the immense technology they developed, then they should die.. as their letting weaker species throw their civilizations away.
