I love this video! To people that think the grammer sucks here? I believe you're missing the point. "I is gonna soak up the sun"- they mean that the Letter I is gonna soak up the sun. If I were there and singing during the chorus, I'd go in sync by singing, "The Letter I" and sing the "is gonna soak up the sun" part with them.

@TheCobaltLion The grammar is correct. She's singing about the LETTER "i", which is going to soak up the sun. If she were singing about herself, it would be "I am," but when speaking of the letter, "'i' is" is exactly right.
