Well, I think that you and your hair are absolutely beautiful but I can see that your hair would take a lot of upkeep. I guess I take my caucasian, straight silky hair for granted! (tho' it does need blow drying and straightening every other day) x
I understand exactly how you feel. I'm actually on youtube watching videos about curly hair in hopes of finding some way of lessening the amount of time I have to spend on my hair every morning. UGH! Also, I'm a Virgo too, ha! So I feel your pain :-)
hey chica im hella late with lol...but anywho i thought id put in my two cents...i am not directly biracial but i do have crazy natural hair issues in the am too..what i find best is two strand twisting my hair at night before bed and then sleep in the bonnet. typically i add product to it ie mc or miss jessies buttercreme and im good to go with styling in the am...hope that helps if any lol
wow, chick, u totally right, about virgos, i am a perfectionist, whatever my hands touch, the end result have to be perfection, it sucks, because i cannot just let it be, it has to be perfection..my daughter is a virgo also, so yeah, we'll c.also the wraps, just help to kinda keep most of ur curls, but yeah us still have to do touchups, wearing mine right now...
Hi Taren, I had a suggestion. If you do have to do your hair everyday to achieve the look u want u can cut down some time in the morning by prepping your hair at night. You can wash it apply the mixed chicks and then wear a plastic cap to bed. This will allow the moisture to stay in your hair. Then in the morning u can diffuse it the way u like! I tried this when i knew i was going to have no time in the morning and it worked great although i let mines air dry.
as you said,it does look better than sleeping without the bonnet but at the end of the day if you want curls every day,i think you pretty much need to do it everyday.
I lust tried putting it up in a high ponytail w the silk bonet. i didnt like it right away but i let it "drop" for about 20 mins n it was good by time i left the house. maybe it might work for you. though your hair is really long
I'm glad we all could relate..lol.. I'm wondering which is more of a pain.. The up keep of our curls... Or dealing with frizz from the humidity with straight hair.. I guess bald is best! LOL
It look ok...but what I do is put my hair in 2 very loose ponytails high on my head and then spray with water and olive oil mixture or some kind of oil.
Woooaaaaa I wish i could have the same length you have =/...i'm mixed and i got curly hair like ya, but it takes sooooo long to grow -_-''...

Hey hun :)
I love your videos.
But have you ever tried to spritz some water on your hair when you wake up in the morning?
It works for me. I have the texture as you.
And you dont really need that much. Just a few sprays and your curls SHOULD pop. Please let me know if it works.

You could try a pineapple for bed (high ponytail). I'm a virgo as well, lol.
I have another way to wear curls to bed in my fotki album. Just let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the link.

aw u still look purdy!
I wonder if long satin bonnets exist so the hair can fall down instead of getting smushed.

I think your hair is perfect just the way it is! You can do what ever you want but I don't think it's necessary.
