yes he does have it in other ballets, but for this ballet you need an actor and great mime techniques to pull off all of those different characters. vestris was originally choreographed on baryshnikov in the 60's.
I agree, Johan is wonderful, but Misha was a genius, I do not like to compare dancers, but Misha´s Vestris will remain unsurpable for many, may years...and I have to say Johan is one of my fauvorites dancers.

I have to agree with pddwatch- it IS just a rehearsal. i won't go into comparisons, just check his Madge,the man can act!

he's got the movements but he doesnt have the gusto that baryshnikov had. very good job though.
