does it really matter what they are wearing. I like the song. And I am a die hard Arcade Fire fan but I don't think it sounds like they are influenced by them. These guys have been writing these kind of songs for nearly a decade, since Root Villa (their old band). And as for the glasses he NEEDS those. I have seen him wear other glasses. It is not like he is wearing them to be cool.

you are correct. I know Eric, the guitarist. I asked him if he has ever listened to Arcade Fire and he said he has heard of them, but never listened. And I agree, he needs the glasses. At the time he couldn't afford a different frame so he had to go with the cheapest one. He's actually probably the chillest dude I've met.

@hatnpeanut Yeah I don't know about that. It is certainty less than savory, I'll admit that, but comparing it to the word "nigger"? That's a bit of a stretch. Yes homosexuals have had a good share of bigotry thrown in their face (and this continues to happen, i.e. my comment) but they, as a whole, haven't experienced what blacks have. Now I'm not trying to under mind their struggle for equality by any means, but I would say on some sort of magical scale "nigger" weighs more than "fag".

@hatnpeanut I will also take the time to apologize, for said comment. Often I use derogatory words on the internet with out thinking about the social impact they have on society. Now that's not to say that my words affect society, but rather that the mind set I have -- which I believe many white middle class Anglo Saxon males have -- reaffirms this behavior and helps create horrible social norms. It is an on going issue that I struggle with, I don't think about what I'm saying, sorry.
