I was saddened and disappointed with Good Stuff, mostly because Cindy's physical presence and spirit weren't there, and even though they were still around, I missed them. After endless years of no new recorded work, I was shocked and surprised by Funplex--They still had the goods, they seemed refreshed and energized. They look great in their '50s (and 60s--a compliment to Kate). If anything is to be learned from the return of the B52's, it's that there are heroes you should NEVER give up on.
Seriously, why would the sexuality of anyone be the determining force in what you listen to, dance to, watch or read? Why does it even bear mentioning, unless you're rather uptight about such things and are looking for others who share your discomfort? Lighten up, enjoy the music and have fun...I promise, it won't alter your sexual orientation in any way whatsoever.
@JDalltonX seriously man. I mean if you're secure with your sexuality you wouldn't have a problem listening to gay musicians. Shit, if you exclude gay musicians you exclude a lot of people, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, and many others
This is not going to change my opinion of the band, but is the main singer (the guy that says "Hot corner! Last call!") Is he gay? I'm just curious cause he sounds flamboyant.
@jorganbon Yes, I did read the thread, sweetheart. Dial back your defensiveness a bit; it wasn't an attack on you, it was an observation of their music style which is flamboyant and happy and danceable. Swoosh, right over the top of your head.
uhh Amazing!!! :)

My understanding of the B-52's is that they are all gay except for Cindy. Fred, the lead vocals, has alway been a little on the flamboyant side.

@jorganbon no Kate is a bisexual, and Cindy is straight. The guys are gay though.

@jorganbon what's so wrong with flamboyancy? That's what makes the B's rock so hard.

@tafferette Did you not read the beginning of the comment? I never said anything was wrong with it. So don't start getting all righteous with me.
