  • I think I put about 200+ hours into this, I haven't played it in ages yet I miss megaton. Have you played new Vegas? It's great but it isn't as good as FO3- surprised not to see a clip of the alien dlc? Because was just so random but still enjoyable. Another top review

  • @Fabregasgunner4 - I haven't got New Vegas, no. I chose against it as I just don't have the time any more :(

  • @Fabregasgunner4

I agree with the NV<F3. The atmosphere, the music, the locations, the towns, the people, the enemies, the weapons -- everything was just so much more iconic and fitting.

NV seemed like a desert with mutants, where there was no big crisis going on, and everyone was living happily.

F3 felt like you were at the end of the world, where everyone was struggling to survive, and the water being irradiated made survival all the worse, where everyone was in danger.

    Fallout 3 Forever.

  • This game kept me occupied for an incredibly long time. Then I played it again with a few mods that provided a lot more weapons and increased the challenge, PC version obviously. Even though I had to play it on the minimum settings, due to my somewhat modest PC, it was incredible. The scope and freedom is what makes it great.

Thanks for another great review :D

  • @JimPlaysGames - Me too. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for your positive feedback :)

  • seriously SOnicH the game is sooo much better on steam, graphics gameplay, characters and animation and also mods if you want them :P

  • @slipknot4eva94 I think you mean PC. Steam is just a place to get it.

  • so er, what other PS3 games do you have?

  • @Koopsas - Quite a long list actually. They're all relatively old though, and done to death by other reviewers (as is the way of the world these days). GTA4, GT5p, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted 1+2, Resistance 1+2, Motorstorm and PR, Saints Row 2, Heavenly Sword, Killzone2, Resident Evil 5, FIFA 9+10 off the top of my head :)

  • @S0nicH ahh good taste as allways : )

  • weird i dont have one trophy and i played a lot of fallout3 on my ps3

  • Please do a fallout new vegas review when it comes out.

  • I love this game! But its not some thing thats fun to play twice sad face :(

  • Hmm most of those problems didn't happen for me while playing it on ps3 but yeah it is the worst. Still, the game itself is amazing

  • Ah...one of my favorite games of 2008 :)

    Nice review, as per usual.

  • @MarioVsDK - Cheers :) Took me ages to get into it, but it's worth the effort.

  • @Tyrhandrer - purely because I have it on the PS3 and not the PC, it's that simple :) I've got and played Vampire, but not SS2. If you haven't played the Baldur's Gate series, you really should. They're by far and away the best RPG games ever made.

  • Oblivion had similar problems on PS3 as well, maybe its the engine.

I love Fallout 3. Its the only game I've ever purchased DLC for.

Cant wait to hear what Bethesda put out next

  • love the reviews and love fallout 3

so much so i use to play it on the pc but recently bought a ps3 just for the hell of it.

and when it come to fallout you really should of played it on a pc it was made for it first hand and ported to the 360 and ps3

it not only much better looking put it plays a loads better

  • @HookahID - I can believe that - it seems that the PS3 version is the worst of the three platforms (no great surprise there). Glad you like the reviews!

  • @HookahID I bought it for my 360 because I have a terrible computer. Once I get a better graphics card, I might get it for PC, but probably not, unless it's really cheap by then. Because I won't want to waste the money for it, when I can just play it on 360. I already think it's one of, if not the best game I've ever played.

  • After i beat the game, i raped it with loads of realism and immersion mods and i had quite an expierience. :D

  • Are you ever going to start numerically scoring your reviews or just let your words do the scoring?

  • @Ronnock - Nope, just the words. Numbers don't do the opinion justice.

  • @S0nicH That's fine. I was just curious.

  • Isn't the movement speed a bit too slow? It looks like it is. Anyway, nice review!

  • @sl2mmer it doesn't feel slow in-game. also you can quick travel to any location that you have already visited.

  • @sl2mmer - Not really, the only slightly slow bit is trying to dodge enemies. You pretty much can't so running backwards is the only solution, or hiding if they have guns.

  • Another Cracking Review mate

  • @Spartan441 - Thanks! Great game too :D
