is it my imagination or is beck the most underrated guitarist ever because we always here about page hendrix or clapton but beck seems to get forgotton even though he is as talented as the others and also i wont forget srv who was also very underated untill he died

@shredmaster100 He isn't underated to me. There is noone else on this planet that has come closer to the human voice than Jeff Beck. He has his place in music history. Pepe Romero is the cleanest Spanish and Flamenco guitarist, Eddie Van Hallen has his place as does Eric Clapton and George Harrison. Les Paul has his place, there is no doubt. There is this "Jeff Beck Place" that I can't explain. He just grabs it and twists it an distorts it until it sounds like us calling to our mother.

yeah hes a brilliant guitarist but dont forget SRV as well he was like the reincarnation of hendrix also yngwie and blackmore are good at what they do not my favourite guitarists but they are good and deserved their places in the greatest guitarists list clapton for me hasnt reaaly done anything major since the 70,s im more of a jimmy page fan he was just more exciting to watch live

@eosdelb lots of kids don't understand just how good beck is, i can always tell if someone has been playing long or just starting out, as I never heard a long standing musician say beck was crap, he clearly is a master as making music no one else can, he took the blues and turned it into classic rock and for that I salute him, I seen him live once and he blew me away, after 20 years I still wonder how it gets some of the sounds he does and make them come out on top
