They did a great job in this long action sequence : the performance of the actors is awesome, the directing is awesome, but what I particularly like is the fact that they cleverly edited the whole sequence WITHOUT music, which makes the action way more intense. One of the best episodes of the show.

I've been searching my onscreen guide every day for the return of Third Watch on A&E. I'm in Vancouver Canada and I was recording it at 4:00 am weekdays. It's returning on July 21, 2009 and will pick up where it left off in the middle of season 4. Let's hope they run the episodes in order and don't skip any.

Crappy news: I called A&E in New York re missing episodes and they advised that as of July 27, 2009 they no longer have the contract to air Third Watch. The last episode to run will be Friday, July 24, so they only aired 4 episodes this time. I emailed Warner Bros TV and I am awaiting a reply to find out if any other network has picked up the rights. They did tell me that if they hear from enough people they MAY release the whole series on DVD...please email them to request this.

I never really watched this show - only the occassional episode - until this final season. I saw previews for this episode and thought it looked pretty good, then I never got to see it. So I watched the whole final season waiting for this to come on as a repeat, but it never did. Honestly, the earlier seasons would have been much better I think.

My dad is NYPD and still carries a .38 Detectives Special. He should switch to a Glock 9mm, but the .38 is a reliable gun, it's not a piece of crap.

The 9mm is actually a reliable gun, especially the Glocks. It jams on occasion but not that often. If it does jam all you have to do is clear the chamber. The .38 revolver DOES NOT jam but only holds 5-6 shots. The Glock 9mm the NYPD uses holds 15 bullets in the clip and one is in the chamber. Thats 16 shots w/o reloading. There are pros and cons to both guns, but they are both good. When I go on the job, I'm going to carry a Glock 9mm on and off duty.

Over 7 minutes goes by between Cruz's radio call and the end of this clip, and backup still hasn't arrived. If a 10-13 (officer needs assistance) went over the radio in NYC in the middle of the day, backup would be there in no more than 3 minutes. Obviously these shows all bend the rules, but this is too much
