Beautiful, and you have the total baritone package. Did you post a faster version of this yet, because I'd love to hear you whip your way through the melismas! Truly a wonderful idea, by the way, giving voice to LGBT(I?) composers. Bravo!

I actually think this tempo gives the aria a very nice caracter. It gets the irony better I think. I sing it faster though.

@WJCairns I can't disagree. I've sung this many times in performance since the recital and have brought it back up to a faster tempo.

superb performance.

the only things i noticed (as being overly perfectionist in my own singing of this song) were that you breathed during the longer phrases. i managed to do this at the expense of pain in both the inhale and the exhale, but it was worth it to have unbroken phrases. the only other thing i noticed was that on the rolling phrases you went from on time to VERY slightly offbeat (too fast)

none the less, you still deserve 5 stars and a class 1 ranking.

Beautiful voice and great work!!! Have someone ever tell you that you have a physical resemblance to Bass-baritone Justino Diaz in his youth? hahaha or maybe it's just me.
