This is a great move. Actually he could take a more pronounced step. You may lift your pivot foot in the case of a pass or shot (it just can't come down again). Huge misperception in basketball that this is a travel. Refs will sometimes get confused too. Too many people evaluate travelling by instinct, and not by the mechanics of the rule.

What the fuck are you guys talking about. His fucking pivot foot was stationary the whole. Down and under, you you establish a pivot foot and fake in a different direction. Its only one step. Get off here and stop hating.

@UniversalCrew72 It is a travel because once you establish the pivot and come to a stop your next step is considered the second and both feet have to leave the floor at the same time, It is the same with a jump stop. It would have had to been a continuation move for it not to have been a travel. The NBA does not call it b/c they wanted more scoring for entertainment purposes. The college ranks make that call evry time.

I'm pretty sure he moved his other foot and kept his pivot in place then simply jumped using the momentum of the NON pivot foot to get closer to the hole,

or at least that's what he meant to do. I don't think refs in a game will be as sympathetic, and that looks easy as hell to swat.
