@grez14 Look at wikipedia. I found there the novel... anyway now that we're here...

It's called Shui Hu Zhuan translated in Japanese as Suikoden ( maybe "History in the water's edge"??? ).

I read it in italian and the title was translated " I Briganti". It's a wonderful novel that talks about the adventures of 108 heroes-bandits in the region of Liang Shan Po, but it's different from the game's story... completely!
