You got the good action replay, the one with the port that is universal, like I got a OLD action replay with the 3 inch long cord and it fucked the port on my action replay because it's so flimsy but you have the good one, I hate having to shell out 20 more dollars for a new one now

step 1. have the ar disk installed

step 2. Plug in your action replay

Step 3. Right click at the top left.

Step 4. Click about action replay

Step 5. click reset hardwear.

It will reset your action replay, all of your codes will be gone but they give you the preloaded codes, and the red screen will be gone. HAPPY CHEATING!

@bobfttw I'm not sure to be honest. All NEW Action Replays should be shipped with the latest firmware, but then again Datel is a lazy company so they probably don't do that.

@TheKosh123 before you click add new code press the eraser 20+ times but make sure you arent on1 of your codes make sure its on add new code hope this helps

@chaoslordSP You could try doing an ARDS Reset. To do a reset, you will need to hold down A+B+START+SELECT on the Nintendo DS BEFORE the Nintendo logo appears.

How can I get my DS Lite to read my action replay again? I went to use my action replay earlier, the DS Lite read it fine but the action replay would read my already registered Pokemon HeartGold. Also, the action replay showed that all the games and codes was erased and I didn't do it. I restarted my DS Lite now it won't read my action replay at all. I never used my action replay alot so it souldn't be dead as I had it little over a year, so it's still quite young.

I followed all the steps, but when I connected it to the computer and opened the AR code manager, the message never appears. (I clicked the software update button and that hadn't worked. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and it still doesn't show up. I am very confused...)

Like I said in the video, you need any cart that supports NDS roms. So since the R4 can do that, the R4 should work. Try updating the R4's firmware, or I would recommend you just get a new flashcart. R4's are outdated and have no more support.

thers another way all you have to do is when the ar is appearing hold a+b when turning ds dslite dsi on and then whenthe nintendo ds ds lite dsi screen comes off hold start+select still holdin a+b and if words dont pop up until ten seconds then it will be unbricked

What you may need is to reset it. Hold Start + Select or L+R or both Before "This product is not blah blah blah" to reset your AR. If it doesn't work then it's bricked.
