We run a small British retoration workshop and I am trying to generate some interest in a blog. We are all war pensioners who for whatever reason (medically) have been dropped like a hot rock and are struggling to stay on the straight and narrow, with little or no help from the state. Most of us are considered un-employable but not elligable for much help. So this is us keeping what little dignity we have left. All we ask is people to follow our blog. northants-restoration.blogspot.com
The Labor Party freed up the constrictive fixed system the rich had in place for centuries: now on to an elected second chamber with either Labor or the Dems. If the Conservatives were in again I imagine they would re-close bars at 11pm and make smoking compulsory everywhere.
"You... only guess that they will allow smoking, which is what most Landlords want; the choice of smoking or non-smoking". Me: "LATE NIGHT"???? 11pm????

The closing of the bars at 11pm would reduce late night anti-social behaviour, which is one of the main problems facing town centres today..."
why must everyone think that its the goverments responsibility to make you happy and to make things easy. thats a load of bull. p.s. burning coal is alot more energy efficient and cheaper than solar or wind. you liberals need to take wake up.
So relying on China is more "efficient" than producing your own energy? Relying on finite resources is more "efficient"? Relying on massive quantities of this finite resource from dictatorships is more "efficient" is it? How come experts are predicting an energy deficit in less than 10 years? How come energy prices in the UK are rising every year to new highs? And in what way would it be sensible to continue to rely on bent governments and foreign conglomerates for our energy needs?
Oh of course you're one of those 'conservative' American 'patriots' who think your own government is bad but couldn't care less that foreign companies now own most of you're car manufacturers or that the Bin Ladens have a 0.5% stake in your entire economy. Please keep your predictable views in your own monoglot political arena.
hell i love solor panels GIMMY GIMMY GIMMY!!!! (and electric sports cars have great acceleration!) ...still might be a bit early to think about this stuff (i am doing my work exp in july! (man a snake bar assistant! it is going to be SWEET!
This is the typical conservative nonsense to gain votes. For example, the tory that came campaigning to my door told me there weren't any labour candidates standing so vote tory. What a blatant lie i just got a candidate leaflet from Labour the day b4. The Greens opposed London extension. Not ban cars, buy green ones. 8-). As soon as we revolutionise our electricity production we will have a revolutionary economy, not restrained by global pollution limits affecting industial output.
@birdy47 Wow, the greens are doing badly then. People want jobs and food, these silly BNP and others are claiming they will give it. The greens are talking about the rights of vegetables. Who do you think the average idiot would choose.
@birdy47 ... because the BNP exploits people's fears and insecurities, the kind of scaremongering that thrives in the tabloid press, and that gives angry, disillusioned people something or someone to blame. Having said that though, the Greens have an elected MP, and the BNP have none.
Of course the greens wont be in power, but as a pressure group they can do great things. They can only acheive this if we give them the MPs and local Councillors they need.
Can you actually give some reasons against voting for the Green, rather than just spreading hate by sayin f off!! How does that help anyone? June 4th Green have my vote!

i dont think the green party will ever be elected. they have good points for the environment but could ruin the economy with fuel charges and power and the rest of it.

Labour & Tories have rotated power between themselves for almost 87 years.
They have become centralised, over comfortable, demotivated and apathetic.
In an attempt to half please everyone, they serve NOBODY.
It's time for a 3rd party to come in and SHAKE THINGS UP A BIT!
VOTE 3RD PARTY WITH ME!
