  • WHY was this made?

  • I was open to the idea of an english remake for about 20 seconds. Its just no good compared to the original. I also think you shouldnt try to remake sketches like this word for word, its fine if you base a sketch off something or are heavily influenced by a different sketch, but remaking one without doing anything original yourself seems lame to me

  • I tried to smile at this...but honestly...no.

It's nowhere near as funny as the original.

It might be, if it was done by the British, but no.

  • Thumbs up if the University of Freiburg sent you! :D

  • Its SO bad compared to the original norwegian one!

  • The word is "Monk", not "Munk" (in the credits)

  • the norwegian one was way better because, even though i couldn't understand the language, the actors were so good that the expressions on their face and the intonation of their voices made everything hillarious.

  • I agree, it's just not as funny as the original in Norwegian.

  • ma quello doppiato in italiano? era meraviglioso

  • Living proof that American remakes are never as funny as the originals. We've seen it countless times in Hollywood and now they've cocked up a wonderful Norwegian sketch. Idiots. Hate to think what they'll do to the Millenium trilogy, not that that's acomedy. Not yet anyway.

  • sadly this is just not funny, the original may not be in English but is hilarious.

    Nice try, but no cigar.

  • It gets an american to completely fuck up good comedy.

  • Thats hilarious! @lol

  • It's been useful for young English learners. We knew the original Norwegian version (excellent!) but this we took as a listening exercise. Thank you very much.

  • the original was atleast funny.

  • You lost all the comedic timing and effectively took out the right use of words that made the original so hilarious. The English translation of the original is perfectly written and all you had to do was COPY a sketch that already existed!! How could you mess that up?

  • I can't believe I just sat and watched this entire thing waiting for something to happen or some brilliant suprise ending.

  • some funny parts

  • I prefered the Norwegian version since it showed how dumb the technophobe was...this one seems to poke equal fun at the Help Desk guy, which doesn't seem FAIR! ;)

    Good job though

  • Load of shit. If something is funny and you want to remake it why write a load of extra stuff in aswell? There's no need. Also this loses credence just for the fact that there was no medieval american accents. If it was to be remade in English then they should have used English actors using an Olde English way of speaking. Think Blackadder!

  • Not a good version. Somehow the english language ruins the whole thing for me.

  • Not nearly as funny as the original

  • i don't like this version as much....

  • I think the ending ruined it, where the guy looked at the camera and started talknig to the camera instead of the customer. He didn't even look like he was thinking/talking to himself, but definately talking to the camera.

  • Noble as an attempt this is, the dialogue felt forced. And the thing at the beginning where the guy takes information down on the card seemed out of place, really.

  • To be completely honest, the bit at the start... where the guy takes the information down, was dead accurate. You ALWAYS find out who the customer is, what thier name is and if the issue has previously been reported. Otherwise, you dont know who you're helping and you may possibly double-up trouble shooting on an existing issue which only upsets the customer more.

  • yeah, but then, some of the scripts they make us as at the beginning of a tech support call is out of place too.

  • So boring, the original is much better. this has no sense of timing

  • I liked it better than the original because I could watch the charactors instead of reading the text across the top. Good Job guys.

  • This is NOT funny compared the original! Far too slow, no sense of timing. Gosh, peeps, just do to the Norwegian one and read the subtitles!

  • How to butcher a good skit. Instead, see the Norwegian version.

  • they should have given credit to the original norwgian sketch. I think the laugh track made that one funnier

  • Cool!

  • 4:18 LOL

This is the only part of it that's funny, but quite so.

  • bad version. somehow the other version is much funnier

  • That's Great!

  • In the medieval, speaks old english

  • amazing, thanks!

  • In the medieval age the british speeakers had a Latin influence

  • is not true

  • English has always had a latin influence ever since the romans occupied southern England, geniuses.

  • Oh, it's Norwegian? Bravo, bravo, bravo Norway!!!! I love Jarlsberg cheese, too!! Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, even though I liked the original sketch even better I think. But both are brilliant!!

  • haha so funny!

  • This version is funny. The original in the foreign (to me) tongue seemed funnier.

  • Great!!

  • LOL

  • OMG

  • This really is a let down of the original. Too much adlib, no comedic timing. "Actors" were not very good.

    Good try though.

  • norwegian:

denne var lagt ifra like bra! den norske var fantaskist, men jeg synes at denne på en måte ødelegger humoren i det.

    english:

    good try!

  • amazing!

  • great attempt to preserve the humor of the original, but we like the timing of the original better! Very funny and original concept! Thanks!

  • This version is funny. The original in the foreign (to me) tongue seemed funnier.

  • Put the manual of a book inside a book! Awesome :D

  • Oh, it's Norwegian? Bravo, bravo, bravo Norway!!!! I love Jarlsberg cheese, too!! Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, even though I liked the original sketch even better I think. But both are brilliant!!

  • The original is faaaar better, even though it is in Norwegian. But in fact, the language does not matter at all.

  • How to make a great norwegian sketch boring
