  • looks good

  • WOW! this worked! amazing!

  • can one do this resistance training and weight training at the same time ? how can a guy who does weight training 4 times a week incorporate the 16 resistance stretching into his schedule? I have read the book by Bob Cooley, but it barely mentions anything about this concept, anybody out there with some good advice ?

  • im wondering the same thing

  • You would get more out of your weight training sessions if you spent more time stretching your muscles with resistance. The ability of a muscle to shorten is inversely related to its ability to elongate while contracting. So, in other words, you will get stronger as a result of RFST. You may want to spend two days a week RFST and two days weight training to notice the difference. Or, incorporate RFST in between your weight training sets, ie bicep curl, then bicep stretch, etc.

  • Oh. Haha. Thanks

  • You are a dipshit. Bob Cooley didn't invent it either. I say good for her for putting out a product that will expose people to more advanced training concepts in a language the average person can understand.

  • I read that Dara Torres just had shoulder surgery after competing in the Olympics.I'm surprised this stretching couldn't help her shoulder more considering she had 2 personal assistants helping her with it.

  • swimmings rough on your shoulders son

  • if you have proper stroke it really isnt.

  • she's got nice body.

  • This was so helpful. Thank you. I recovered from an IT band injury this past year. This was perfect to add into my routine with running and leg routine.

  • reciprocal inhibition, neurology 101, creative application of common neurological principle, "Reciprocal inhibition describes muscles on one side of a joint relaxing to accommodate contraction on the other side of that joint."

  • Yes- that's one way of relieving cramps, too. (Contract opposing muscle.)

  • it's explaining how balancing muscle groups work to help each other get stronger or more flexible...Important concept to understand! I saw the Dara clip that used to be up (before the olympic blackout) and this dvd looks pretty good!

  • It shows what genes, training, and massage therapy can do. Now if she used Buteyko Breathing Therapy, she may not have to cheat with the asthma inhaler.

  • cheating is when you break the rules, she has a medical release, therefore there is no cheating involved.

  • You are correct, however I consider inhalants performance enhancing drugs that I would not want to use. Buteyko has a record of getting 85% of "asthma" patients off meds. I think that she just overbreathes, like many non-Russian athletes do.

  • didnt get it. maybe im stupid

  • chapters one and two would catch you up to speed.
