Forget GNC... Newsweek did a study a few years ago and found that LEF (and one other company) were the only ones REALLY putting what the label says is in the bottle. in the bottle. GNC did not rate well if I recall.
Just buy turmeric at gnc. I take it and I have nothing negative to say about it. It has helped with body fat, memory, inflamation, sleep, on and on. I stopped taking it for 3 days because I had ran out, I felt shit for 2 of those 3 days. I bought it yesterday and I no longer feel like shit. Trust me, get to gnc and look for the bottle that say's turmeric.
Piperine has been found to inhibit human CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein, enzymes important for the metabolism and transport of xenobiotics and metabolites. Bioperine ("piperine") can inhibit enzymes important in drug metabolism. By inhibiting drug metabolism, piperine may increase the bioavailability of various compounds.
Systemic enzymes like serrapeptase may help to breakdown mucus build-up in the airway spaces. However, I would also suggestion trying N-acetyl-cysteine. This potent antioxidant amino acid is great at supporting healthy airway spaces.
Life Extension suggests for your condition a regular curcumin-only extract.
LE would suggest that you supplement with a highly bio-available form of curcumin, like Curcumin BCM-95. This particular form of curcumin has remarkable absorption. Some studies reveal that just one dose of 400 mg per day of this special turmeric compound provides curcumin blood levels equivalent to ingesting 2,500-2,800 mg of commercial curcumin supplements.
Turmeric Tri-Force is a marketed product that uses BCM-95 (Organic Bio-enhanced Curcuminoids - Standardized to 95% 300 mg) mixed with two other extracts: Organic Turmeric Rhizome CO2 Extract (Min 55% Turmerones) and organic whole herb turmeric. For a full explanation of the products label, I would contact the company directly.
Hello, I was reading about curcumin on your website. I did not full understand the inhibition of arachidonic acid. what is the purpose of arachidonic acid. And why is it benefical that the curcumin inhibits this acid?
The arachidonic acid pathway is the primary pathway for inflammation. In a sense, its the bodys main pro-inflammation pathway. Arachidonic acid is the precursor to most other inflammatory proteins. By inhibiting this pathway, you can reduce inflammation in the body. It is important to reduce inflammation because it is the common denominator for all age-related diseases.
individual components of an herbal extract are bound
to phosphatidylcholine - an emulsifying compound derived from soy. Phosphatidylcholine is also one of the chief components of the membranes in our cells.

tucsonallen,
How do we know if there is no Bioperine in this product?
NSCASL 3 years ago
Serrapeptase --You didn't read the ENTIRE label.

1st 4 post's meaningless.
There's no Bioperine in this product.
tucsonallen 3 years ago
The label of this product only states the following:
BCM-95® Bio-Curcumin® 400 mg. (Curcuma longa) 25:1 extract (root) [std. to 95% Total Curcuminoids Complex by HPLC (380 mg)]
You need to list the ingredients Bioperine and Phytosome to your "Supplement Facts" or under "Other ingredients"
so consumers know exactly what they are taking.

hi I have cystic fibrosis,
do you know if abrotose or serrapeptase would significantly help my lung condition?
any info would help
I'm thinking about buying some curcumin powder, do you think it is important for me to get the b3 complex curcumin

Ok, thanks
But why a regular curcumin-only extract, what about the more bio-available curcumax or the
tri-force turmeric?

Phytosomes are produced via a process whereby the
individual components of an herbal extract are bound
to phosphatidylcholine - an emulsifying compound derived from soy. Phosphatidylcholine is also one of the chief components of the membranes in our cells.

Let's see I'm understanding this correctly.
This product, Life Extension BCM-95,
("Super Bio-Curcumin"), contains Bioperine
(aka, "piperine") along with Phytosome.
