This game "was" great ... but now ..dumb douchebag losers ... have ruined it for most!!! ... they have released an " invisible " code to NOOB and i mean NOOB hackers that get owned w/ stars&bombs... so now dumb idiots can go invisible in an online race and ruin it for everyone ... i hack&been having that code and even i feel it is just worsening the game.. that with all the insta win codes made daily!!!!

Im not sure if you care or want to know, but the reason you were getting hit by so many blue shells is "rubber banding". Its when if you get too far ahead of everyone, they start to speed up, and also get better items to make it so they could win. Its the biggest pain in Mariokart!

The person in 1st gets crappy items, but, who cares, you're in 1st.

2nd-3th get better items than 1st place, often red shells, to throw and they're near 1st place.

4th-6th place has Blue Shells, and they throw them to make them feel better about themselves with the small hope of getting into a higher position.

7th-12th place people feel terrible because they suck, but at least they get a shiny star and golden mushroom!

Depends on the game. For things like Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl, you just plug it in on the side (remove the tiny white over over the GC bits) _after_ starting the game.

You can have the controller plugged in before starting, but you have to start the game with the Wii Remote or the Retro Controller.
