This is my favorite Mantra to chant and meditate on. In the past, I so easly found myself affected, in a negative way, by the condition of our world, my country and it's politics that I couldn't think straight. I chant this mantra 2 x's a day for 30 minutes, first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Although I focus on healing on a much broader spectrum, I find that I myself have begun to heal. I am less anxious and stressed out. I am more focused and able to stay in the moment.

I'm not a very religious person, but Buddhism is the one religion I respect the most, and I have often thought of converting to it. Here the other day I saw a group of Buddhist monks from Thailand. It was really a shock to me, seeing persons like them all the way up in Norway. Their orange capes and peaceful expressions really made an impression on me, and now I'm certain that one day, when I am ready, I will become a worthy Buddhist. Namaste everyone.

Well technically speaking the concept of 'God' , ie a devine creator, does not exist in Buddhism. Though dont think this concept is denied. But I get your drift.
