This anthem was composed by the French military musician Lemaire for the Qajars in the late 1800's. It was originally named Salamati-e Shah, loosely translated meaning Long live the Shah. It was intended to be played with wind instruments such as horns, resembling the Royal anthems of European monarchs. It was rearranged and recomposed for traditional Persian musical instruments in 2005, although keeping the melody of the original in the vocal parts, and given new modern lyrics.

This is NOT the Iranian national anthem! It was intended to be the anthem in the 1800's, but thank God it didn't remain as such. This music is more appropriate for a circus!!

This is the anthem from the Qajar dynasty. I think the Pahlavi anthem is more majestic and uplifting.
