  • Babymaking music. :D

  • @doctordopplepopolous I HATE YOU XD

  • After heard some sad songs of DK, let's have some fun now! =D

  • Does anyone shuffle to this song when they was a kid?

  • Well, THIS music should be on a festival! Not the other crap...

  • I always tried to jump on the racer's heads to this beat, matching the "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" with the drum. xD

  • This sounds like Speed Highway from Sonic Adventure.

  • It's amazing how calm the comments in the Donkey Kong Music section of Youtube are. It's like everyone understand one another and can actually discuss the video/music, rather complaining and recommending something else.

  • @Captainoftheseass holy cow i was about to just say the same thing...

everyone on the DKC your all great ppl i hope uk that

  • @Captainoftheseass it is because of the niche' nature of the video you are at. The chances of someone stumbling on this video and NOT knowing what they are clicking are low, and since its not "popular" there will be no haters.

  • David Wise is a fucking genius!

  • Favorite level of the game.

  • to be hones the GBA version sounds sweller.

  • このゲーム大好きだった

  • A W E S O M E . I loved this on SNES !

  • I don't remember this track, but it is pretty freaking amazing. This game has the most underappreciated music!

  • damn i thought it was techno. or is this how electronic beats started?

  • @jumbojokerjesse Electronic music started much earlier than this time, back in the 1970's with bands like Kraftwerk. There were, however some songs made even as far back as 1957 that could be considered electronic.

  • More like Rockety Race. It always makes my eyes spin 360º.

  • Disco Disco Good Good!

  • This song is so relaxing while you play the bass cover with it x)

  • loooove it

  • this is better than anything top 10 on beatport right now

  • Imagine going up to a DJ in an 80's throw back party and ask him to play this song, while it plays, everyone looks around and starts dancing, they enjoy the song so much they keep asking to replay it over and over, and no one has any clue that they're jamming to a soundtrack from an old SNES game, but you...

  • 0:07 *breakdances uncontrollably*

  • Man DKC 2 was an awesome game

  • @Kimjongil3000

    was?

    it still is!

  • Best track in DKC2? I think so

  • Anybody else feel like they want to put on a crocodile costume and breakdance to this beat.

  • i love this stage LOL

  • everytime i go into a roller coaster this song pops up in my head automatically XD

  • @SuperAlibaba88 And Anytime when my brother trying to race on the expressway this song popped in my mind. :p

  • good song ^^

  • fuck dude I don't even bring a boombox, all i need is my snes.

  • I remember I would pause the game, put the sound into my speakers and just dance around in my family room when I was 7 or 8.

My parents thought I was crazy.

I knew I was the hippest dance master in the cul-de-sac.

  • @AuxilaryNinja You were correct. This tune deserves to be danced to. Still does, really.

  • David Wise = God.

  • THIS IS LIKE THE PERFECT SONG FOR A HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY!

  • I always wished that there could be carnival levels where you'd actually play in the carnival seen in the background on this stage. It just seems like it'd be so fun.

  • @rootbeer543 That's why I loved the old graphics. I loved all the scenery you could see in the background. The graphics just made the game jump to life for me. I wish I could go into the Donkey Kong Country universe!!! :D

  • @MylestheMediaMaster Same here, the DKC games always seemed to have the most beautiful backgrounds. But what do you think, how fun would the carnival levels be? xD

  • @rootbeer543 Pretty fun!

  • 1:03 :0 that sound is from party rock anthem!!!

  • @1mermaidbethany It is pretty obvious this came first though

  • @PlayingItOldSkool yeah :D they just stole that sound xD

  • Don't forget Target Terror

  • that's the level where you ride the cart right??!!?!

  • Somebody should play a bass cover to this

  • This is brilliant. I love how he did all the music for this game. It's actually fun & nice to listen to while you're trying not to get mad at barrel throwing crocodiles.

  • *Listens to this original version*

    *Listens to the GBA version*

    Me: What the fuck....

  • After heard Sticker Brush Symphony, let's have some fun now! :D

  • 6 people could never get first place in the race.

  • they should make a new channel called UKFRetro

  • Yooooo!!! This shit is hot! This is sooo friggin' original.

  • I miss the SNES games like this.

  • Thumbs Up if this reminds you of the Orchid Sky High City level in Killer Instinct xD

  • @DJZark ...*sigh*

  • @DJZark Well It makes sense, since both games were made by Rare around the same time.

  • @DJZark omg soo truee

  • Rollercoaster music! Love it.

  • dude, i like how you made it kind of more echoey somehow

  • THANK YOU!!! Finally a DKC2 ost video where the highest rated comments AREN'T hating on newer games. I thank you.

  • @torchicguy Pfft, most games made today don't hold a candle to the stuff of yore. Today's devs care more about graphics, money, and deadlines than the art of making games. And that's why they'll never compare.

    Especially American developers.

  • @sporkonomix I'd say Nintendo, Konami, and Square Enix have always known how to and still do make good games.

  • i think i danced so hard to the music that i forgot to jump across the gap

  • The two disco train levels in the game were always and still are my favorites. When I was little, I'd work hard to get to world 4, then never go any further because all I wanted to do was play these. XD

  • I like to drive through the hood blasting this music.

  • I like the gba version better because it actually sounds like disco music

I like the screams to this version though

  • 6 people died more than 1000 times on this level XD I only died 250 times

  • back in the days when players didn't mind dying; just meant you got to listen to your favorite music once more

  • 90s RARE = Musical geniuses

  • @Connorzorz 90s RARE = David Wise

  • @q0zi You sir are a Guinness.

    R.I.P Rare

    1982-2002

  • @101nibs

    RIP

  • Am I the only one who finds the "rrrrrRRRRRRrrrrrrrrr..." sound kind of creepy? It's a great song, but combining it with the dark look of the theme park in the game is bound to give one nightmares...

  • @Whitecroc IDK, it kinda sounds like an angry cat to me.

  • One of the absolute best songs ever! Wish they'd bring this stuff back.

  • DKC1=DKC2=DKC3

    I love them all.

  • @jmario232 You forgot to put in another game. I'll give you a hint. "Returns" well even though you love em all :P

  • they played this song on this one amusement park ride it was like a train ride that would go around a whole circle and go really fast i told the person who ran the ride go donkey Kong country 2!! and he just had this big smile on his face he told me i was the first person recognize this and he also told he was a big fan of the series it almost bought a tear to my eye :'D

  • Check this out. At was at a party a while ago, and a friend of mine had their ipod hooked up to speakers. This very track came on. When he tried to change it, everyone was like "DON'T CHANGE IT!!" And everybody danced to this. True story. :)

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 damn bro that's fucking epic. please tell me this happened in chicago

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 That's awesome, I would have liked to see that :D

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 That's fucking awesome.

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 AWESOME!!!

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 Story of our lives :D

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 I wish my friends would let me play my video game music at parties. I can occasionally sneak some Jet Grind Radio onto the playlist, but that's about it.

  • @printthelegends me toooo!!

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 Awesome! XD (who the hell is the bastard that wanted to change?)

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 That's f@ckin awesome how everyone connects with the video games back then! Makes you become closer friends because they cool ha.

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 lol as much as i love this song and this game as a child, that's just fuckin weird

  • @xmrgenox yeah man, when people dance to good music thats just fucking stupid

  • @mariodonkeykong1990

Further proof that video game music is more awesome than what most people will claim to.

  • @SupaKoopaKid64 Or he made up the entire scenario so gullible people such as yourself could feel all warm inside.

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 Yeah, must have been the local GameStop nerd convention.

  • @IdentNone XDD

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 this is a WIN

  • @mariodonkeykong1990 It is actually a very good song! That's what I liked about Rare's music; it was Rare, good shit!

  • During this song, I found myself extending my arm down and to the left, then up and to the right, all while pointing my finger. I think the title of the song is an appropriate fit.

  • Comment removed

  • The first time i played through this level, Dixie fell off the coaster at about 0:41. Scared the shit out of me.

  • how can anyone dislike this?

  • 6 people couldnt pass this level

  • My most favorite music out of the whole game!

  • ~This dah FuNkY Gr00vE train~

  • All the memories make me want to go back there... :(

  • what I love about DKC music is that even if you never heard the song before, you still feel extreme nostalgia about every other DKC song you ever heard and cherished from the first time you heard it. I myself rarely played this game, but I always watched my brother kick ass at it, I still feel sooooo sad when I hear any DKC song because it reminds my of my innocent, careless youth, which was centered around video game music ( I sucked at playing them ) *tears up* :'(

  • LOVE THIS... so many memories

  • When making the DKC games, Rare composers were vastly influenced by the British electronica scene which gained fame in the first half of the 90s.

The Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Coldcut... You can feel the inspiration in most DKC songs.

  • The Donkey Kong Country series has aged beautifully.

  • @torchicguy Still great games and all, but personally after playing Returns, I'm just bored with the old DKCs

  • 5 people fell of the rails...

  • Even when you died on this level the music would still be funky :D

  • @Doughty321 speaking of which, what's that one called?

  • @Doughty321 Yeah those are the only two stages where I smile when I die :D

  • @Doughty321 Funky... and pissed! :p I swear I was going Happy Rage on this one!

  • @Doughty321 Cause it's hip to die in style my soul brotha

  • Microhouse FTW

  • Absolutely stunning SNES music... I'm so glad they added these fantastic classics to the Nintendo WII market menu. Time to re-live the nostalgia once more with this awesome game and its masterpiece music.

  • DK2>DK1>DK3

  • watch?v=RVvJtLFikkU

    WATCH!

  • since the day I played this game the first time, this is what I hear in my head when I go on real rollercoasters. it makes the ride 10 times more epic :D

  • I asked for this to play at my brothers wedding reception. The dj didn't have it

  • Epic dj

  • Did anyone else just stop at the beginning of the level and watch the fireworks and listen to the music?

  • @IDrawTheLines

I gotta tell you I stopped in almost ALL levels to listen to the music & did just what you explained for this one. It is the one game with a sound track that truly emerges you & plays a big role in your life.

  • @IDrawTheLines I know i did, but I did the same for pretty much all the levels

  • I love how this game actually steps up the difficulty with mine cart riding! That "Stop-Go" level was pretty cool. :)

  • best donkey kong kind of level ever!

  • i like this song. this song makes u feel like u're in a carnival & i remember this song from that carnival place in the game, in which i forgot the stage name.

  • @destroyer15001

Rickety Race, though its kinda irrelevant to know.

  • @haventownsend thxs, i haven't played this game for like 4-6 yrs.!

  • gosh i love this level/song/game so much. donkey kong country 4 life!

  • thank god for emulators that's all what i'm sayin

  • @capcomman1 Thank god I have a SNES

  • everytime I go on a rollercoaster, this music is playing in my mind!

  • Man this soundtrack OWNS!!!!

  • Dance like a Monkey now....jump to the left, jump to the right, jump then jump.. ....now rooll...

  • That would be soo awesome

  • They should open a kremling carnival........

  • time to play... the original on snes

  • downloaded this to my wii and wen ever i gotta do homework i go to the level and juss let the music play . makes everythin so much better

  • @801forlife lol nice. i play this music while i draw in my comics. ^^

  • The only thing that i don't like about this song:

It reminds me of how much of a BITCH it was to beat that level!

  • 4 people clearly didn't own a super Nintendo

  • For some reason I remember this song probably the most distinctly... Boy if I could get my hands on this game again... :)

  • @AyaAris93 Amazon.com dude. I got a copy from there:)

  • Favourite level fo sho!

  • This makes me miss going to the arcade's in Niagra! Where they got all the big light shows going on in the night! MAN! I miss being a kid.....

  • TUUNNNNEEEE!!!

  • i forgot about the scream and it scared me when i came to this video XD

  • Righthous choice of score!

  • 4 ppl have never played dkc and have no music taste whatsoever.

  • The levels with the Disco Train track were the only levels I liked dying in. The death music is awesome, too.

  • i can see chris pontius going party boy to this beat.

    thumbs up if you agree.

  • reminds me a little bit of crash bandicoot...

  • 0:15 shit gets real

  • I still can't believe that this game is this old already. I remember when it first came out and then again I was 6 years old.

  • @Pugslee3 Time goes by fast

  • Am I the only one bothered by the fact that all the Kremland-themed levels were rollercoaster leves and there was none of them to simply jump an run though?

  • @RokuroCarisu No, you're not alone. Although the rollrcoaster levels were fun, I always thought something on the ground would be fun.

  • Sigh...year 1997 when playing this level with my sister and cousin on a summer night lol good times....good times.

  • yeah! i love this song! it was 1995,where 9 years old and we played dkc2 at day and night!

  • i didn't like the music when i first heard it, but now its very good.

  • I always dance with this music :D

  • My favorite level(s) in the game. I could play the rollercoaster levels all day long. <33

  • This tune is from in a few of the absolute most fun and enjoyable stages in classic/semi-classic video-gaming. Plus, to go right along with it, it goes without saying that this tune, itself, is majorly kick-ass.

  • Nintendopsy ^____^

  • DKC2 > DKC3 > DKC

  • @digitizer imho, dckc2 just a little bit > dkc3 = dkc
