The irony is that jerry lewis was actually way BEHIND his time... He had a couple truly great pictures, but most were big budget, color, slapstick romps. He's not too endearing and unashamedly takes credit for a style he neither originated nor perfected. Lewis will never join the ranks of Keaton, Chaplin or Lloyd.

@joreltemporada Wow, I am 48 and I was just a tad too young to appreciate his genius. I only wish I could meet him....before one of us dies. I am rather ill, and it could go either way for me, and so is Jerry, plus he is nearing 90. I just wish I could sit and talk with him.

Jerry the most wonderful comedian and human being!!! I cannot say that enough:D I am truly grateful that he had a dream, and went for it. I would HATE to have missed what he has given us. What a truly extraodinary man!!
I will love him always:):)xx
