It's so ridiculously hard to unlock this battle. Not only do you have to find 7 hidden rings in every level on one life and beat an extremely hard special stage, you have to do it with EVERY CHARACTER.

I always like how in the Super Sonic levels, no attacks can actually harm you; just push you back. The REAL problem is fact that your rings are ticking down as Super Sonic. You essentially have a strict time limit to beat the boss, which can be extended by collecting rings. Although getting hit by the attacks wastes your time. And time is something you do not have a lot of. :)

I heard that in a certain, not-well-known Sonic game, you rings actually tick down by TWO per second instead of one! :O
