The M1 was originally supposed to terminate on the A-ring, even further into london than Ringway 1. The first motorway to open in the UK was the M6 Preston Bypass, not the M1.

The elevated Westway should be pulled down ASAP. This road empties into the West End. The West can't absorb the cars,so it is always jammed. It is an ugly waste of polluting space.
