Looks as if real knowledgeable fans/practitioners of the sport are heavily interested in female MMA. I've read more sensible comments, here, on this one page than I have on several clips of male fights. The main reason it's my favorite sport, is because all females fighting are good ambassadors to the sport; very little trash talking/disrespect, & all are good representatives to the art, soul, & reason behind fighting. Good to see educated, practical & sensible comments, to "most" on here.

Sure thats true but there are rules, there are regulations, its professional sports not a street fight where an injured defeated person sitting on the floor is clubbed on the head repeatedly risking death. wah wah wah? What are you talking about? Sure Baszler was hurt, but she was able still able to continue. She's a professional fighter that knows the risks involved with this sport. I would treat her as such.
Under normal conditions I would agree with your statement but there was "nothing" professional about that fight it was a disgrace to professional martial arts. It was blatantly obvious that Baszler was unable to defend herself or fight back. It was just to prolong the fight. The ref didint have the guts to end it when it should have been ended. The point your defending doesn't apply to this instance where it was just incompetence in the name of blood and gore for the crowd.
Let me ask you an honest question. If it was a guy in that instance, would you still have the same opinion? Do you feel like the ref should have ended the fight sooner because Baszler is a female?

Saying that her life was in danger is an exaggeration. No one has died in a major MMA promotion yet.
Shayna Baszler was no more hurt than (just a random example) Frankie Edgar was in his last two fights against Gray Maynard. Frankie Edgar was hurt, but was given a chance to fight back and he ended up retaining his title both times. Obviously Baszler failed to recover and lost, but she was given the same opportunity afforded to most MMA fighters.

Baszler had that kneebar if she would have went for that rather than the toe hold. The knee was all the way stretched out and then she switched to the toe hold without even attempting the kneebar first. Even with that toe hold, she would have been better off trying it with the knee already extended so she could have attacked both at the same time.

I saw Evangelista Cyborg training in Chutebox's Curitiba a long time ago and in other events on Brazil to. This history do not consider many fights. Believe me, he's a very dangerous fighter with a very strong punch. Her start in MMA was very hard, no resources. He's a warrior, a champion. He fight seek, hangry and tired, dont matter. He has heart and its is very dangerous, sometimes more dangerous than a good history record.

Chris Cyborg is one of the finest conditioned athlete in the world today. No one in the sport compares to her. Although Lucia Ryjker was the top woman of her era, but is not retired from competitive MMA, it would have have been quite a battle to see those two go at it.
In the meantime, I noticed that Cyborg had 1 defeat. Who was that who beat her? Must have been a fluke or a disqualification. Chris Cyborg is the best .... bar none.

Cyborg has taken PED use to a new level in women's MMA. As long as she is allowed to fight with basically a man's body other women fighters are going to have to do the same. Right now, we are basically seeing a 135 lb man fighting women fighters. I am not impressed.

Baszler had that kneebar if she would have went for that rather than the toe hold. The knee was all the way stretched out and then she switched to the toe hold without even attempting the kneebar first. Even with that toe hold, she would have been better off trying it with the knee already extended so she could have attacked both at the same time.

You obviously have not seen all of her fights. Santos' longest and toughest fight was against V. Porto and Porto was moving everywhere. Santos just never stops. Against Carano, you saw her be more technical as opposed to winging it. Doesn't matter if she fights in the U.S. or not. Unless you have proof that she does take steroids, you are just talking shit.
