Never played crisis core. I'm a fanboy. But not enough to buy a handheld for one game. Why is genesis' sword red? Does he have the fire materia and added effect materia in his weapon slot?
I agree that FFVII is the best. The thing is that FFXIII versus looks really good. But in my heart nothing can beat FFVII. Zack used to be my fav. character since he was careless like me. Genesis is now my fav. since... well he's REALLY AWESOME!! LOL.

Don't go underestimating Genesis cause you saw him get beaten to a pulp while he was degenerating and basically almost dead to begin with. Elfe (Before Crisis) and Genesis are prolly the only people in FF7 that can almost reach Sephiroths level of power. Thing is, unlike he does with Cloud, Seph wouldn't underestimate those two and actually go all out, so the much weaker Cloud always has a better chance of winning.
Just watch how serious Sephiroth is in his fight vs. Zack (FF7, Crisis Core, Last Order) and how much more talkative and less serious he is when fighting Cloud in AC. Telekinesis? No. Blade beam? Only uses it against a building, not against Cloud. Octaslash? Nope. Heartless Angel? Nu-uh. And even without all that he almost kills CLoud and instead of ending it, actually tells him, that he never wanted to kill him, but make him suffer instead. David vs. Goliath at its best.
Since Cloud only survives his battles vs. Sephiroth, because Sephiroth toys with him (easy to see if you watch how often Seph could have killed him in FF7 and Adevent CHildren, but chose not to) I'd say Cloud vs. Genesis & Sephiroth would be a rather short and bad battle. You might wanna try AVALANCE & Turks (the "lost" ones from before crisis) vs. Genesis & Sephiroth. I think the latter two would still win if they're in top shape (Genesis) and serous (Sephiroth) though xD
