  • I used to take Aikido classes as a child and I wish I still did! Great fun! The Kata are hard to memorize so this is very impressive. I used to hate having to stand in the horse stance (feet wide apart and bent knees, almost at a right angle) for long periods of time though!

  • they are goood ! very nice!

  • dman, i meant black* ^_-

  • are they all blach belts?? XD

  • Wow yeah that would never be in Canada.. lol

  • here in America we Gangstas fight with random punches every who cares who we hit LOL

  • Not bad for kids, but I have to say, a lot of Japan karate schools have been off the leash lately. A shodan for a kid, whose kata is worse than 3-4 cue kids' in other parts of the world. But that's just mine (certified karate judge/referee) opinion :)

  • Really interesting to watch, I practise wado-ryu karate myself. ^^

  • I feel a bit weak watching the Japanese kids practice martial arts on your videos! The 8-year-old freaked me out enough.

I got attacked by someone who was under 18 and I felt I can't do much other than try to get him off my back. He got me down for a moment by running and jumping against my back when I was watching the other direction and didn't know I was under attack. I got up with him hanging on my back and punching me but I pushed him away. Had it been an adult I may have punched back hard.

  • that girl's form is better than most of the people here in America. This kind of commitment and dedication are only in Japan!!!!

  • I used to do Shotokan, which I loved. I would love to learn Okinawan karate.

  • @WABBITS8 Shotokan IS Okinawan karate, Master Funakoshi Gichin is from Okinawa.

  • @interstellarwonder My mistake. I thought they were different. Ta for putting me right!

  • I used to do Karate until I developed water on the knee. I miss it. This was so nice.

  • the blue belt kata girl... whats her karate style????????

  • @xukinorris It looks like the Karate style you inquire about is Shotokan. I recognize the form in the movement of her feet.

  • the blue belt kata girl... whats her karate style????????

  • the blue belt kata girl... whats her karate style????????

  • @xukinorris i think its ryuei-ryu. the kata name is paiku

  • whats the karate style of the blue belt girl, the one doing kata?

  • You would never see this in America or Canada...i just admire how these kids are so into everything they do.

  • forms are done with two during competition? How do the black officials (judges) keep track of the scoring?

  • Martial arts seem to be popular over there, would you say they are one of the more popular activities to be involved in? What are the most popular martial arts in Japan? Besides martial arts, what other activities are quite popular?

  • very nice form

  • is it girls vs girls and boys vs boys or co-ed?

  • @ikuto1kyo2yuki3luvr

    Separate.

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom Similar to shotokun?

  • wow... i do taekwondo (i stopped because of studies but will be going back soon). but um they say i am good at forms but i just find it boring and a pain in the ass bacause you have to remember all those things but in kyourougi (fighting and btw dats korean) im good but i always end up injured and have my opponent worse than injured (they looke like someone whose been grinded and thrown at the sea lol)

  • Impressive display of technique, precision, and passion in Karate. My favorite Japanese martial art is Aikido.

  • i admire how fast they are. i'm not sure. is there patterns in every styles of karate?

  • @Julmuu

Most martial arts I know of have "kata" which is "form" patterns...

maybe some others don't have them.. but I don't know of them..

  • loved your video as always! but this one is awesomeeeeee!!!!!!they're really into it^^!!

  • i'd still kick their ass

  • Fostering violence in todays youth :)JK

It all seems a little too "clean" though.... I think it's better to learn about fighting getting black eyes and bloody noses in a local back ally! (^ô^)v

  • Can you make a video of judo please?? I train judo for the last 9 years and would like to see Judo compatitions...PLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEEEE??

  • @Arsenov92

    Maybe in August.

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom Great, I would love to see a Judo video as well. I practice Brazilian Jujitsu and Muay Thai but wanna learn some Judo as well. Next time I go to Japan I think im gonna find a school to train while im there.

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom Now this is good right here!!!

  • soo cool :<

  • Neat seeing some karate in Japan.

  • Thank you for the video. Great seeing the perfecting of the martial arts by the younger generation.

  • you'll be suprised of the power of these kids

i fought one just the other day..

i upcut and missed and as soon as i can gain stability i was knocked 3 metres with a one inch punch..............

  • You havent really talked in this.... what ups there

  • Ahh This brings me back to my high school days and my first kumite, when i got a DQ for excessive contact (I thought it was an actual fight) no one explained the rules to me, but it was fun. Karate is really good for kids development.

  • Kakkoi!

    Did you know someone there?

    Haha, girls kick butt! =D

  • @xOxannachanxOx Btw, I used to takeTaekwondo! :)

  • That was very cool. The katas being performed where quite complex and the sparing was very impressive as well.

  • Wow! Totally different from Korean Taekwondo. If anything I see more complex forms. I've notice when it comes to sparing the forms are limited, I see them use simple forms rather then the complex forms as in their demonstration in the beginning.

  • @Sckye I'm not sure about all of the the styles of karate, but for the type that I am learning, our sensei stresses mastery of the basics since those are what you will naturally fall into do when when doing kumite.

  • I bet these guys could beat the crap out of Jackie Chan. :P

  • so cool

  • In that middle ring was that two girls fighting? Or is it based on weight class? Or both?

  • @bbygrl4055

    Yes, two girls.

  • what does tai kai mean? btw i do jujitsu x)

  • @ssoloness literally it means 'big meet'

  • Awesome!!!!

Notice.. not one Mc'D ( super-size me) kid...

    NOT ONE!!!

    This is good.

They do it alot better than many adults in the u.s.

  • the kids are so focused! i wish i was able to karate! :D

  • @AkemiCaffeine It's kids, dude...

  • any tips on how someone visiting japan can see this? especially in tokyo :)

  • lol they do it alot better than many adults in the u.s.

  • wax on wax off wax on wax of

  • I wish I was that awesome.

  • 0:36 damn she's fast!

  • Great exercise and a great way to motovate kids.

  • Amazing! I love the martial arts.

  • Awesome. Amazing. Marial arts and discipline.

  • out of curiosity what style is it, shotokan, goju ryu, shorin ryu ???????????

  • I tried a thumbs up but ratings disabled. Thanks for the video.

  • Reality of it: Judo kids would mop the floor with karate kids(literally) :D BTW where is this play list?

  • @JustaEropeanGuy

On the channel page or via the link at the end of the video.

  • @JustaEropeanGuy you say that because you propably train judo.

ive too, and so i can say it is one of the crappiest martial arts out there

  • @JustaEropeanGuy Nope it depens on the martial artist

  • @JustaEropeanGuy I don't think so.. I used to do practice judo. To be honest, I think jui jitsu would win against karate though.

  • Those kids could mop the floor with me lol

  • Very cool :D

  • interesting o.o

  • Is martial arts, karate etc etc compulsory in Japan?

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom ....I thought Kendo and Judo where part of the physical education curriculum for Japanese high-schoolers, although its rarely practiced part of the curriculum...

  • I'm thinking there must be a large amount of the population that knows martial arts, compared with other countries at least, most of them could probly kick my ass :P

  • They look very disciplined
