Not trying to get into an argument between Tommys and Yanks here, but rock and roll came from American Blacks. Davies might have slashed a couple holes in his speaker (and it no doubt sounded awesome), but rock and roll came from America. I see what you were trying say; being that the British Invasion style of playing came from England (duh) but the context in which you spoke made it sound as if you were talking about the entire genre up until that point.
@NoSurfInCleveland Is this a private argument or can anyone join? For what it's worth, I got the impression messr s2trash was saying mod music was invented in the UK.
But I could be wrong. In which case i'll go away....
