  • If thats all the junk you got, You guys are awesome... Come to australia and you would have a thousand ringpulls for that many coins. congrats and HH.

  • Your videos are what keep me going through the cold months! I live near Fox Lake, IL, And as you know the blizzard is spanking the area right now. Cant wait to get into the field! Maybe I'll bump into you one of these days! Awesome finds man, keep it up!

  • I'm not sure how anyone could give TreasureFiend a dislike. That person must have missed the thumbs up by accident :)

  • You are in a excellent place to fined a 1909s VDB penny. And I would dig every signal.Your penny's look to be really in good shape.Rubbing coins can really bring value down so try not to rub. I know it’s not easy to do but can really mess up a valuable coin.I have found two 1909s VDB penny and they came from a place that has same dates your finding. They were in very poor condition but still got $110.00 each.Hope you find one.Great video good luck and thanks for sharing!!

  • @albanosblit

It takes a layer off the silver each time you rub it

  • @Lasvegasjerry

    How much

Are they worth I have 1

  • I love your vids! Bit of advice though, I carry a gatorade bottle(wide mouth) with water and a touch of dishsoap, then I have a mesh pouch that I put the coin in, then into the water it goes til I get home. The temptation to clean is huge, but the day I scratch a 1909 vdb wheatie by mistake would make me cry! Happy Hunting!

  • you scared me when you said: "oooo its a barber"

  • Great finds! Have any tips for a beginner? I don't even have a detector yet lol. Awesome vids man, keep em coming! Best of luck to you!

  • should have chucked a line in the river.

  • i find absolutely nothing cool when i go metal detecting. the coolest thing i've found was a muzzle loader shot and it isn't even that old. lol but whatever its still one of the best hobbies ever

  • dont rub silver!!

  • @albanosbliet why??

  • @SamyFatty from what ive heard it damages it

  • found my oldest silver this year a 1894 barber quarter.

  • @drew7473 Awesome job, you got me beat!!! My oldest silver coin to date is a 1899 barber dime.

  • i just found a german coin from 1889 in my garden when i was digging

it was a 5 pfennig coin

  • cool

  • Great Finds...I love finding those silvers...I found a 1875 dime that blew my mind..I ran out of places to go around here..Thats my biggest problem..Still love the hobby but Im tired of getting that answer NO from most people I ask to detect their property...They just dont understand how much it means to us to find stuff..They just dont get it and Im kinda tired of explaining to people about this hobby......Great Work on your video...GOOCH

  • Awsome I just bought my new V3 2 weeks ago and i founf 2 IH in one day 1879 and 1908 I didnt know the 1879 was IH i thought it was a Wheiate till I got home and cleaned it also this day i found 3 mrecs and 11 wheaties also a Rifle man badge CON GRATS on your FINDS

  • Thanks for the video. Metal detecting is so much fun keep up the good work

  • GREAT VIDEO what do you suggest me to get as a new metal detector

  • Good video presentation.

  • Meaning when your by a river, it can flood over the banks and wash away dirt...that might have been deeper but maybe a flood some years ago washed the dirt and left it only an inch. Keep up the good work.

  • If your in an area that has some history, meaning its been there for a while and it produced some of the finds you were showing, you should dig up EVERY hit, who knows what it might be. Dont pass up an opportunity and be lazy since you think its just a 'penny'. Not in an area like that.

  • Absolutely....IMO you should dig all, all of the time anyways since even the most advanced high end detectors can still be fooled.

  • a one inch IHP? wowza.

  • god bless!

  • what is that digging utensil?

  • @JacSPierce its a lesche tool look on ebay or online... I got one and they are awesome!

  • That Barber was probably sitting in the ground for at least 100 years... amazing.

  • everybody thumbs up this message if you like treasurefiend

  • First of all.... I love your enthusiasm with the Barber!

  • Cool finds TF!

  • Nice finds.

  • Another great video. If I can't get finds like yours I would just as soon watch you find 'em. Keep it up.

  • I want to know for future hunts of mine, don't you have to get permission to metal detect private places?

  • what kind of metal detector are you using?

  • Nice 1900 Barber! Watching your video makes my mouth water man! I'm in South Georgia and do similar searching as you close to the river - its in my blood, love it - I have a Garrett GTI 2500 and still trying to figure out all the bells n whistles on it! Good Luck to future finds - Rodney

  • Maybe it was a ferry crossing at that spot on the river?

  • please stop posting were you are finding these coins some of us folks from chicago have done lots of research too.you think your the first person to find coins in the c--k c-----y f----t p------e we all know that spot and have pulled many coins there you gave up the boy scout camp and now its over run your vids are good just dont tell were you are , your pissing people off

  • Nice finds. Looks like a good fishing spot too.

  • are wheaties worth alot?

  • Nice finds however you could see the scratches on the Barber quarter from when you rubbed it..

  • so when ur out i know u have to find clad but apparently u dont show those cause u show all the good coins

  • Nice hunt!!

  • Definately a 1908 indian penny

  • Oooh it's a Barber!

Man, anyone who detects can relate to that excitement. I love it. Great job!

  • think that ID was for a horse

maybe some kinda horse racing or something

  • Hey there Treasurefiend, I've been watching your vids for a few months and i've got the bug. What would you suggest for a detector? I want to detect areas similar to yours as well as the beach. I'm in S.Carolina. You've got some incredible finds, lots of silver, stuff some of us would go wild for. Also, do you ask permission everywhere you search? are there places that its not necessary to ask permission? Thanks in advance for letting me pick your brains and happy hunting.

  • Great vid my friend, and congrats all them nice old coins,Thanks for sharing...PAT

  • wow my favorites indian heads and barbers. great video as always

  • BTW ..Looks like you have a new camera..Looks great!

  • Nice job man, really liked this video!

  • Nice job! Looks like the 6x8 is working well for you. I like it too, but I still use the stock pro coil whenever I'm out in a larger flat area so that I can cover more ground. Looking forward to your next video.

  • Ok my cars loaded, wheres that park!!!Hehe that place is loaded still, has to be.Great Hunt, great finds!Thx for sharing with us fiend.Look forward to the next Hunt!

  • Very nice finds!

    Keep hunting and good luck!

    Greets from Germany

  • Great video and hunt ! Big Congrat on the Barber quarter and indian head penny, wheat. Good luck on your next hunt.

  • Great hunt...Congrats on the Barber & wheat's

  • Awesome hunt. Clearly you aren't in Oregon, which I'm convinced is entirely hunted out Idaho to the Pacific. Never mind the Barber or the IH; your wheatie spill alone is more old coins than I've found in 6 months of hunting with a $1k detector. Even the clad is crappie: $1/hour is a bumper crop of clad for me. I should start selling the worms I find while digging pull-tabs; I'd make more money than I am on clad.

  • Down by the riverside, nice hunting spot! Cool quarter, and wheats & Indian. Thanks for taking us to such a nice spot.

  • Awesome Hunt!!! Looks like you hunted some areas others passed up over the years. Congrats on the Barber Quarter and the Wheats!
