Punisher War Zone, out of all the 'Punisher' movies was the most correct when it comes to comic book adaptation. Stevenson plays a great Frank Castle and his emotionless cold eyes as he rips through his enemies is all out fantastic, another installment should of been produced. Although I like Thomas Jane, I thought he portrayed a soft and comical interpretation of Frank Castle, two descriptions that the actual Punisher is not. Good job Ray Stevenson!!

Jane's film was more hollywood-ified i agree that if the acting was cleaned up a little bit it would have been better. From an acting perspective just think how hard it is to get into the role of Frank Castle TRULY.

I slightly agree with you. But this movie cannot really be compared to the first one since its not a sequel to the early 2000 movie. If many remember there was an earlier one that was total trash even compared to this new one. Warzone has almost no story line, the "first" one did (Thomas Jane version). The "first" one did not give the intensity and aggression given off of the from comic books, yet this one does.

That's just my personal opinion, every one has the right to their own.

This comment is to any ppl dat havn't seen the movie, I have seen it yesterday, and let me tell you this ROCKS! it kick the asses of the 1989 and 2004 movies. Ray is just amazing as Frank Castle, West was also good him self, and Hutcherson was the treat on the cake. I give the WARZONE 4.5 stars out of 5 just because the story lack a little, they should have made the story a little more interesting.

Spore, Jane is a great actor, but he was never meant for the Punisher. The character of Frank Castle is an Italian American born and bred in New York.

Secondly, he is hell bent on avenging his family's death by punishing all criminals in his path with no mercy. You did not see that in Jane's portrayal of Castle.

If you look at the comic book, Ray looks exactly like Castle; especially in the scenes above. Bottom line, Jane is a great actor, but Ray will do a better job of The Punisher.

I think it'll just be mindless violence copied straight from the MAX comics, and didn't think it through.

I think the Thomas Jane movie didn't have a hude amount of action, but it had a good story. And that's what matters. Look at Resovoir Dogs. I don't like what they did to some characters, but the main thing of a emotionall-fucked Punisher was kept.

I watch a lot of movies, and can tell when something'll flop.

Yeah there really isn't anything like what Ennis writes, my suggestion is to not skip any of the volumes just to get to one really great story arc because there are other story arcs later on in the series that rely of past issues for plot base that will really throw you off if you started reading those instead of chronilogically from the beginning to valley forge, valley forge. But don't get me wrong, every story arc is fantastic but there are some that are phenomenal!
