  • they got to do this, and i want bakula and stockwell to reprise there roll. this movie is for us,the hardcore day 1 fans anyway. we understand there much older and thats its been a long while. donald booby, baby, we understand that, and we want this to happen. we want this to end properly. not the way it did in the season finale. i think i speak for everyone when i say, we want sam aka SCOTT BAKULA, to leap home!

  • multiple leaps like maybe 6 in one movie,

  • I think a trillogy of this would be just as good as a back to the future type trillogy.

  • Got quantum leap set on the dvr! Awsome show! Itd be cool if instead of doing one leap in the movie he did 3 or make it a trillogy with 2 leaps per movie... Pm me. Id love to hear your input.

  • WHAT THE HELL? THEY CAN TOTALLY USE SCOTT AND DEAN! WHAT THE HELL????? NO NO NO NO! NO! NO! NO! And I will only see it if Scott still plays John Beckett and Al plays someone cool, like Al the bartender!

  • @BlackScarabZ his name was Sam Beckett, and I agree!

  • @hectormurray28 No I meant Bakula plays John Beckett, Sam's father like he did in the show.

  • @BlackScarabZ oh of course, sorry, that would also be good, I don't think they could make a movie without having those two in it somehow

  • I think having sam's daughter take over the leaps in an effoft to locatd her dad and al who somehow also has become stuck in the past would be awesome. Al's wife can be the catalyst and someone new can be her link back ala Al to Sam.

  • I honestly will only watch this movie if Scott and Dean are the main characters. It will flop if they don't, and honestly is very disrespectful to them!

  • I don't understand why they COULDN'T come back and do their roles because of Age??? It's PERFECT! If he's been travelling all over time it takes a lot out of you and so they would naturally age duh! It doesn't affect where they jump to next so I say BRING THEM BACK!!!!

  • If Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell aren't reprising their roles as Sam and Al, then it just won't be Quantum Leap.

  • I'll watch it with or without Bakula and Stockwell but it sure won't be the same without them.

  • Too old my ass. Scott bakula is still working, hes got that show men of a certain age... and while still to this day i have a huge crush on him lol i couldnt get into that show. and Dean stockwell could certainly handle standing around screaming at sam, hitting the handlink... and walking through walls.. dont see alot of stunt doubles needed for him... it would be awefull to replace them. they made the show great. I shudder to think who they would even consider replacing them with..

  • why are they too old? bring back decent tv I say11

  • I was all happy until she said they wouldn't be reprising their roles. :(

  • Replacing the two main characters is down right insulting to all the Quantum Leap fans out there. I believe that if not having them reprise their roles then they shouldn't even make a movie. My opinion is either have both guys come back or not make a movie.

  • How about Sam ends up going home, but it is his daughter who is leaping about. What would be terrific is if Sam was now the hologram, guiding his daughter through the leaps. Al would have Gushie's job. I don't think you should replace the main actors. Give them different positions in the story line. And bring Abigal Fuller into the mix, played by Melora Hardin, of course.

  • @jessiejane1972 Yeah right, Ziggy says there's an 99.9% chance you have wear less revealing clothing and stay away from drugs... "uhm, did Ziggy REALLY say that?".

  • If Bakula isnt in it then it will be dumb as hell.

  • if this happens, it's going to be god damn epic, even though Quantum Leap is an old series, it's going to be KICKASS, I mean, if it does come out, and I don't mean to look at the odds but Dean Stockwell (Rear Admiral Albert "Al" Calavicci) is 75 and Scott Bakula (Dr.Sam Beckett) is 57, I don't think Deans going to have the strength to produce a movie that long )= but I iwsh them luck if they do!

  • you can use there age as part of the film that they have leaping about for so long and give it a proper ending

  • It should begin where Sam reaches home and realise that his daughter was killed while he was leaping and he has to go back and figure out clues and find out where and who was responsible for her death... Just an idea :) Side note: If Scott and Dean are not in it... I will not be watching :)

  • WHAAAAAAAT!! Quantum Leap was the greast show ever!

  • No Scott + No Dean = TERRIBLE MOVIE!!!! Scott and Dean ARE Quantum Leap!!! I don't care if the "New Sam and New Al" are the best in the box office ~ I will not see an awesome show get murdered. They did it with Dirty Dancing, and the Karate Kid. Get original people! Either put our boys back - or do something different with it... Like remake an episode or something in 3D...

  • so wish this movie could go ahead, movies from tv series have worked before e.g. the A Team and if we're talking original cast member cameo appearances look at hitch hikers guide I'm not saying they are excellent but if there is call for these movies surely they should be made

  • scott bacula and dean stockwell need to be in this. there can be no other way!

  • just dont ruin somting and take shit directors

  • I will not watch unless they are in it. who's with me?

  • Just as long as it's not someone else playing Scott's role. Only he is able to play Sam as he was in the show. However and I might get killed for saying this. If it were about another leaper and his or her guide, I could see it working.

  • cant wait. this show is time less

  • To old, what a load of BS

  • no no no i wont watch without them in the leading roles....ziggy says it will be a load of shit

  • To old my ass.. There are million ways around that age shit.. If they aren't the stars then forget it.. I won't go see it..

  • This MUST happen but I want the original actors. I don't care how old they are!!!!!!

  • Imagine someone else playing Indiana Jones other than Harrison Ford? part of the great appeal of Quantum Leap was the fact that Sam Becket and Al Calavici were such interesting personalities brought to life brilliantly by Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell. The science fiction alone wouldn't have made the series so legendary if Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell weren't involved. You can't have Quantum Leap without these two actors in the lead roles!

  • I hope they go ahead with the movie deal, and I hope it's as good as the original TV show.

  • want

  • They're not reprising their roles? Wow. I actually feel kind of cheated because of that news.

I'd probably still see it, but I'd be a little more jaded knowing the original actors weren't doing it.

  • Sounds good to me!

  • @TheCityFlower: ur right,they r the best -3

  • I was a huge fan of quantum leap growing up. I never missed an episode and that was a feat in of itself. If Sam Beckett can leap into Lee Harvey Oswald, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe's bodyguard and even a young Al Calavicci, then Scott Bakula can sure as hell reprise the role. To be perfectly honest, if they do make a movie, I would very much like to see it revolve around Sam's daughter in time... Sammy Jo. The true fans will remember The conversation between Sam and Al at the end of 'Trilogy'

  • Only Scott and Dean for me, please. And no matter how old they are. Their brilliant duet is the reason I keep watching the series again and again.

  • Do I want Scott and Dean? Of course. But I know this is Hollywood and that is not going to happen. I just have to hope that they do this right. Someone mentioned Aaron Eckhart as Sam. I think Eckhart has potential to be a good Sam. I just hope this movie is more story driven then scifi/action driven.

  • Bring beck Scott & Dean they are inspirational Legends~Always in my Heart~Namaste~*

  • .......why does it matter that they are older??? That could be the point..... All this time he has been leeping and still hasn't got home!

  • Oh boy

  • @LegionIscariot my thoughts exactly

  • I would have loved to see a movie come out back in the nineties, but I really think it's been too long. The one thing if this does come to life is I hope that they can conclude the whole show. I hated how they ended the series. The thing is, I really can't see anyone else play Scott Bakula's or even Dean Stockwell's role. They should have thought of this years ago, not now after almost twenty years being off the air.

  • Wait,IS DONALD OUT OF HIS MIND??!!!THEY ARE NOT TOO OLD THEY LOOK THE SAME LIKE THEY DID IN THE SHOW!SCOTT BAKULA AND DEAN STOCKWELL MUST BE IN OR ELSE THEY WONT LOOK THE SAME!!AAAAGGHH

  • On second thought, maybe a "remake" should not be done, that is if they can't get it right. They are trying to cash in on all 80's early 90's movies and concepts and are RUINING them, like teen wolf among many others. I want my memories to stay the way the shows were intended to be, not some 2011 rehash. But I do reminisce about my childhood when shows were good like this one or Macgyver, do not "re-do" and mess it up. Wish the would broadcast for free the remaining seasons of the show.

  • Why did they wait so long? Bakula isn't too old, he could take some HGH and go the gym before the movie. Hey, if Stallone can come back as Rocky (was it 6 rocky movies?), Bakula can come back as Sam. As a pre-teen girl at the time I had a huge crush on "Sam", a real manly man and all, so good looking. I miss that show, I love the theme song intro and the woman saying, "striving to put right what once went wrong, hoping that the next leap will be the leap home." Doesn't get any better than that.

  • @mikeleesarajean And don't forget, he came back as Rambo too.

  • it wont be the same if scott bakula and dean scockwell

  • Too old my foot! They left Sam stranded out in the cosmos indefinitely...he would be aging, duh!

  • OMG if they do make it i hope they go futher into the evil leaper

  • A movie would be great as long as it doesn't end up being a ridiculous farce like most movies made from TV series become. Scott and Dean are essential as their original characters, but there's nothing wrong with introducing some new characters as well.

  • too old? no way!!!!!!!!!!!!! i agree with cutecollector

  • @stevo3023 It has not even been 20 years since the show was cancelled- so I do not agree they are too old to come back for their roles. David Hasselhoff is too old to play Michael Knight in a movie based off of "Knight Rider" because that is a crime-fighting hero going out into action- but it is different with Dr. Sam Beckett and Admiral Al Calavicci. They are a time-traveller and a hologram ending up in different eras just trying to uncover the possible mysteries involved in original tragedies.

  • We need a movie, if only that Al can keep his promise to Sam in the last episode. He promises to come back for his friend. We need that happy ending.

  • It could definately be done, and it could certainly be done with the original actors, all they need is a good story to make it work.

  • If they do a movie they better have Scott and Dean reprising their original roles. They are not too old. The movie would not be successful without them

  • TOO OLD? Who do they think they are telling them that?!?! Shame on whoever said such a thing.

AND- were you humming the season 1-4 theme song or the final season one?

I have a funny feeling that the movie will stink because there are NO actors out there that could replace those two. What was that about Al being his interface? Really? Al was his holographic companion in the series who utilized handlink(s) which interfaced with Ziggy. GO TEAM SCOTT GO- WINNING THE REAL WAY !

  • look the movie should pick up down the track from the series and be about getting sam home there is the movie right there

  • The relationship between Dean and Scott really made the show, so if the chemistry is missing, there is no science (fiction). Whoever replaces them will have to get this right, or this movie will stink as bad as Ziggy's breath.

  • they shouldn't make a film they should make 1 last series.

  • Yes bring it to the big screen.

  • Quantum Leap, yes! I love this show, mt favorite growing up-would love a remake-all about it!

  • I think Hugh Jackman would be an excellent Sam Beckett!

  • i would love to see this!!!!

  • I would love to see a new and final series of Quantum Leap episodes where is it purely about trying to get Sam back home starting Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell and on the final episode they do manage to get him back home.

I think that would be excellent.

  • Yeah, put Scott and Dean in this thing and I'm there opening night! The show does not work if they don't play Sam and Al in some way. Don't screw this up hollywood!!

  • Of course we need that movie!!

But Bakula and Stockwell HAVE to be in there!!

  • You'll make BIG bucks with the real cast, you'll lose interest from much of the potential audience using some hip young actor in hopes of nabbing a younger, newer crowd. that approach has failed in many remakes. There are gauranteed viewers and profits from a large fanbase thata lready exists for the show and for the actors. We've been waiting for this for years... I trust Bellisario though, even with a new cast,he made many great shows I grew up on that are true classics.

  • The actors can Definitely do it still, let's work some of that Hollywood 'magic' on them. It's an interesting story having Sam 'lost' to the future for years since his leap back to save Al's marriage in the final episode. Suddenly a potential, but vague at best, but still hopeful, trail appears after some noticable change possibly in events somewhere along the world timeline. A decent place to start I suppose. I'm not sure if a movie is long enough to do much with his daughter but it'd rock.

  • @Necronomnicon Sadly no matter what, they would need a new Gushie though. Unless they said he died. :C

  • i like the idea but without stockwell and bakula it will be very hard to adapt to. However i thought the ending of the show was abit cheesy and i think the ending of the film should show sam getting home and al thanking him for saving his marriage.

However it could be a disaster because sam and al had that best of friendships which people could relate to and i suppose that friendship made the show more enjoyable.

  • @ash360uk There was an episode where Sam leaped and affected youngAl's career unintentionally, and some cocky limey took his place as the holographic advisor/observer from the future.Sam fixed it, but, keep in mind with Al's marriage saved, his life since that point would have been very different.Minus the womanizing, I don't doubt he'd end up on Project Quantum leap and still an admiral. His relationship with Sam may have been somewhat different though, possibly more professional

  • @Necronomnicon @Necronomnicon Oops I meant that I doubt he WOULDN't end up on theproject, and still an admiral, but his relationship with Sam may have become more professional, yet, if it was truly a natural friendship, itcould still be strong regardless of hischanged experiences and challenges

  • At this point, nearly ten years after anything new from the source material, you could only make a movie to appeal to the fans of the show. A movie without Bakula and Stockwell, therefore, is NOT a good idea. As a fan, I want to see this happen, but with the original Sam and Al front and center.

  • Ah dear... not Abrams again... he's already destroyed one science fiction show I love... that's quite enough.

  • I like the idea of a Quantum Leap feature film but without Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell reprising their roles as Dr Sam Beckett and Al Callovici it won't feel like Quantum Leap. But cameos will be good, better than nothing.

  • guys please respect that dean stockwell is 75 but scott bakula did say he and dean and i quote "will be in the movie, but (probably) not in the roles that (the audience) thinks.” He also stated that there is “lots of money (behind the potential film) and a big-time producer who wants to do (the film)” so they are gonna be in it so please respect the actors and Donald bellisario's choices x

  • Yeah I agree with the others here, if the 2 original cast members are not playing their parts, I wont be watching

  • No originals, than no see

  • I watched QL when it originally came out on TV, both here in Australia and the USA when it 1st aired.

Ive never watched the new Batman, Superman, A-team and all those other remakes, I WONT WATCH A QL REMAKE EITHER!.

Keep the original guys and get no1 else.

  • I'm looking for to this movie. Where i'd love Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell to play their characters... It'll be refreshing to see the story alive again. Quantum Leap is one of the only shows where i actually teared up. IE: the Vietnam episode where the photographer dies and Al could've been saved to be with his wife again.A true act of friendship on Al's part not to tell him.

  • Too old! WTF?!?! If Dean and Scott aren't doing it - I'm NOT watching it!

  • Why don't they write Scott's Parkinson's into the movie? Maybe his shaking is a symptom of too much being lept around!

  • I don't care how old Bakula is, he should be in it as the star, he is quantum leap- without him it's no go, it would not hold much interest to me

  • scott and dean is sam and al and will always be, they wont be to old at all no one will care bout their dang age!

  • Not too old!! I will be at this movie opening night if Scott and Dean are the main characters!!

  • It will ONLY work if Scott and Dean play the original characters! If they were ancient, then maybe. But they still look great and I want to see the original characters we fell in love with and who had all that great chemistry! Come on Bellusario - get it right!

  • "Too old"?? This is some bullshit. Dean was in Battlestar Galactica just last year & looked great. And anyone who follows Scott knows he's barely aged at all. His character in Men Of A Certain Age dates young girls in their 20s for Christ sake!

Gimme a break. Bring them BOTH back God damn it! Fans have waited years for this, so don't give us some lame half-assed Hollywood effort.

  • I am so not watching this. This movie is not going to work the entire series was based on Sam and Al's adventures. If they take those 2 guys out its no longer the same quantum leap.Just cause they are old don't mean they can't act.Guess that is is Hollywood for you. They always got to cast young handsome guys to play in movies.Well what ever happens unless Dean and Scott plays the main roles i will not watch it.Those 2 guys make magic when they are together on the screen.Something you can't replace

  • Great idea to make "Quantum Leap" movie... should have been done years ago, but better late than never

  • Is this news real? I heard news about a Quantum Leap movie before and it was always fake....

  • quantum leap was a badass show

  • Why wouldn't it be a good idea? They've done it with Star Trek and other movies that worked...I think JJ Abrams should get involved with this too...He rocked the newest Star Trek with younger characters....

  • @robinqm So delightfully loopy! Seat belts but only on milk runs. Never let Kirk in any bar you've anything to do with! Don't invest in asphalt. Doesn’t exist any more apparently but do in Nokia. No ultrasound, nor any friendly Dolphins to ping unborn Babies so what gender they are complete surprise! Safety laws or their lack, insane! Just who lets roads run off cliffs without barricades in this century anyway! Maybe Lawyers don't exist anymore! (Hey Gene is right! Earth did become a paradise!)

  • I totally think they should make this movie & have scott & dean do cameo's,it needs bringing to this generation as the message is important~Mistakes of the past are lessons of the future & to accept people for who they are & to find there true self so they can make a differance for the greater good of all~ Johnny depp & James Marsters we also need a woman to play sams daughter~Rose Mcgowen as some suggestions~*

  • Ridiculous they are not too old. I agree, no Bakula, no Stockwell, NO DEAL! >:(

  • wel this never happened shame

  • Hey, if Harrison Ford could still do Indiana Jones 4 at his age, Scott and Dean can still do Quantum Leap. Having someone else play Sam and Al would be like having Back to the Future 4 without Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox (which is why, due to Micheal's condition, I doubt we ever see BTTF 4 and rightly so). If the remake pattern holds true with new actors in old roles, then this should not be done without Scott and Dean.

  • @Raptor1771 I think back to the Future oughta remainour childhood trilogy,I can't see anyone doing a proper story now a days.Even ifMichael J. could do it, the character would be out of the young and awkward phases he grew through the movies in.The 80s were a much better time to be the 'present' setting imho. As for Quantum leap ... the actors can Definitely do it still, let's work some of that Hollywood 'magic' on them. It's an interesting story having Sam 'lost' to the future for years.

  • @Raptor1771 yea bob gale and robwert zemeckis said, that if there was ever a back to the futre remake or sequal he wouldnt support it and he said that it shouldnt happen since bttf is so cherishable and so classic

  • OH BOY!!! YES YES OOOOHHHHH YEEESSSS!!!!!!!

  • Would LOVE if they come out with a movie but without Scott and Dean? They are not too old..it would't be the same without them. They ARE Quantum Leap damnit!

  • What about the premise of the new movie be a new leaper trying to right the wrong of Sam never coming home?

  • @sousamagic How about Sam leaping into 2011 to right the wrong of not employing the original cast? lol

  • @BrokenAeroVT I dont want anyone but the original cast in the movie either I was presenting that storyline to use to give a way to keep the original cast as main characters while adding a new character that could continue the franchise if need be.

  • @sousamagic No neeed to explain. Got that the 1st time. I was just using your comment as a springboard to launch my stupid joke.

  • @sousamagic With Al's memories of his timeline with Sam swisscheesed & no1 2 piece it back 2gether 4him, it's possible Al's life continues on the path 2 head QL thru Sam's mentor. But QL is shut down when the chrononaut is lost, only 2b ressurrected decades later when a national catastophe forces the option. Al & key players r recalled to QL. Sam is inadvertently rematerialized in the imaging chamber due 2 Al's unconscious link of Sam,&Sam thereafter completes the mission with Al & Ziggy's help.

  • michael imperioli is good, but come on, we are talking about Quantum Leap here, its about Scott Bakula and Dean Stockell. No mather how old they are ,. Srlsy.

  • No Scott and dean will ruin in this film in my view. I mean Sam has been jumping for years since the finale so him and al would look how they should after jumping all these years.

  • id want scott to come back but michael imperioli from the sopranos would be accceptable

  • I want scott and dean back

  • Make the movie but with Scott and Dean!

  • the series ended with Sam still leaping why not keep them?

  • too old? says who? the series ended with sam leaping.. why not just say he's been leaping the whole time and is older now.. makes sense to me..

  • Not without dean and scott!!!

  • a movie would be wrong without Bakula and Stockwell!!

  • I'd be wary of watching it, not having dean and scott would be strange. they are what make the show super special in the first place. Who cold play dean stockwell's 'Al Callavici' ??. i can't think of anyone other than dean stockwell. I know he's been in the business a very long time, but couldn't they give it a try. And Scott isn't an old age pensioner. Trust hollywood to mess it up as always

  • im freaking looking forward for this movie im a big fan of the show ya kinda sucks that bakula or stockwell wont be the main charc but im still intersted in seeing the movie

  • Scot Bakula is NOT too old. hes in men of a certain age and hes still pretty good looking.

  • Oh boy...Too old? That makes it better. The fact that Sam has been leaping after all these years, well over 2 decades makes it even better..Why fuck up the whole fucking Quantum Leap series with this garbage of Scott and Dean not playing their roles..That is Insulting..Seeing some new young douche bag actors playing their roles will make me throw up in my mouth..This is one Leap that will fuck up history forever..Bring back Scott and Dean, Bellisario..

  • no scott and no dean then the movie wont even be worth seeing!

  • how can they be too old? i would love to beat the shit outta the guy who had the bright idea to make a movie without them in thier recurring roles. who'd they think was gonna prefer it that way. that's hollywood for you, putting things wrong that were once right

  • They are not too old! If it didn't have Stockwell or Bakula I wouldn't bother watching it. He's the only person that could do it right. Also who could rough up ziggy in the right way? No one but Stockwell!

  • I almost hope it does not happen. I'm tired of hollywood fing up my child hood memories then people pumping tons of money in the system just so that they can complain about how much they hated it.

  • I would totally watch it, i'm a huge fan, even though it wont be Scott for Dean, i will still watch it because i never got to see the show when it was still airing. And I heard they were talking about Aaron Eckhart being the lead role.

  • Holy shit they should make it so another traveler is sent to find sam and enlists the help of AL, it would be awesome.

  • @abisivepoo Hell yeah man that is a wicked idea, they should so do that !

  • Whaaaatttt???? No bakula or stockwell, ridiculous!!!!

  • Idea...he/she leaps into major figures of power throughout history, Evil of course, and attempt to change the course of events by revelation, also into JFK to give him food poisining the day of the shooting, etc etc etc

  • No Bakula, No Stockwell - NO DEAL!!!

  • @cutecollector Scott & Dean may not be healthy enough to do movie or another series. Realty is Actors age & they get sick! Don't let QL die just cause they can't. Actors age. Characters don't have to! More honors them to use other Actors to continue on what they started & build on their original creation or even change it some. Rome wasn't built in day or in 1 gen. Fact is still being built! ST was restarted & what great fun! & without harming the original. Give next generation a chance too!

  • @OmegaSeekerr yea maybe so, but it simply wont be the same without them. I admit it would be exciting if it was officially announced, but not all remakes/reboots of recent times have been so well received

  • the best idea would be to do it in the same vein as the new Tron movie. Bring in new actors, but our original Sam is still out there somewhere and I remember reaing something a few years back of a new series that never saw the light, in which a new traveller would go back to find Sam. That's the only way I think they could keep us old fans happy while finding a new audience..

  • overdue for sure

  • some doctor who fans thought replacing william hartnell as the original doctor who was not a good idea, but patrick troughton did about as good a job. you don't know that new actors would suck bad. we'll just wait and see.

  • The original actors, Scott and Dean, otherwise it would'nt be the same.

  • I can speak for every Quantum Leap fan and say if Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell

aren't going to star in that movie, I'm not going to see it.

  • @chris1pugsley Please don't. Just because they aren't starring in it, doesn't mean it's taking away from them. It is because of their success that this movie is possibly being made.

  • Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell aren't that old. The movie Quantum Leap wouldn't

be the same, if Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell wasn't in it. They are the Dynamic

    Duo of Time Travel.

  • Well, they could just make it the story of a new time traveler who bumps into Sam along the way. I always liked when the show hinted at the idea of multiple time travelers working on the same "case".

  • I hate the new Hollywood-Way to take an Old TV-Series with new Actors to make a Movie. Why not once take the "Old" Actors, to make a good movie. That this is Possible was proven by Star Trek I - VI ... - A Movie with Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell would be awesome, a movie with total stranges...useless...

  • I love the idea of a Quantum Leap movie but it won't be worth it if Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell aren't in it. They're not too old, just say that's it's been a few years and they've gotten older. Scott Bakula still looks almost exactly like he did in the show and Dean Stockwell always look kinda old anyways. You can't change characters out because it ruins everything. I love this show because those two were in it.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees i love this show

  • Yes, the movie is long OVERDUE. I for one can't see anyone else in the roles other than Bakula and Stockwell. The only way for this film to work is reinstating Bakula and Stockwell as Sam and Al once again. Have the film include Sam's daughter trying to fund a rescue project to help bring her lost in time father home. I think that it would be a great adventure plus could help bring in a big female demographic to the series by having Sam's daughter be the leaper with Al help guiding her.

  • Scott and Dean must be given bigger roles than just cameos. Their characters do not require youth. As long as they can play their roles with energy, they would be fine. I agree that a youth infusion will be needed to invigorate the franchise. Introduce younger counterparts; a younger leaper and observer on a separate project, perhaps to find Sam. Since I invision Scott & Dean having semi-major roles, the younger leaper would need to find Sam early on. They could then work together in some way.

  • At the very least get Scott and Dean in there original roles running the Quantum Leap Program and us them both a holograms for a new, younger "Leaper"...otherwise...it wont be the same....

  • At the very least get Scott and Dean in there original roles running the Quantum Leap Program and us them both a holigrams for a new, younger "Leaper"...otherwise...it wont be the same....

  • I'll pass if Scott and Dean aren't in it. I can care less who plays the younger version of them.

  • Scott and dean have to play the roles, I mean come on, they are the duo that made quantum leap...

    Listen to the fans!

  • I like the idea. It worked for Star Trek Calssic... If someone is looking for a younger version of Scott Bakula - have a look at Akshay Kumar...

  • Scott and Dean or no watch!

  • they are not too old.

  • Just make sure they omit use of the tobacco drug.

  • They are not too old. Include Bakula and Stockwell or it isn't Quantum Leap. Period. It'll turn in a steaming piece of crap like the last Star Trek movie.

  • has to be Scott Bakula! No one else could be Sam!

  • No point if Scott and Dean aren't playing Sam and Al. Why would QL fans even want to watch it????

  • All I'm going to say is get Sam Beckett back to his own time. Then I'll be happy.

  • I would LOVE to see Quantum Leap the movie, if it was directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Joel Silver. :D
