  • How can this possibly have less than a million views? it's incredible!

  • When you think this guy cant be any more amazing; he built that guitar

  • @hip142 really?

  • @corexditch Yes. There's a video on it somewhere .

  • Simply incredicle...

  • 8 people don't know the meaning of truly amazing music and talent.

  • I began to listen, and I was frozen for 3 minutes and 33 seconds. Infinitely beautiful. Absolutely amazing music...

  • i just found the guitarist who can lullaby mesmerize u into relaxation and eventually sleep!

  • I really wanna learn to play and write music like this... I'm a metal head, but I think I might be a acoustic guitar man now.

  • Beautifull fealling

  • You know guys, this guy builds his own guitars. He can not only write and play amazing music, he can hand-make gorgeous instruments that are sold for thousands of dollars. Just another thing that makes him so amazing.

  • this music relax my soul and makes me cry '-'

  • FUCKING BEAUTIFUL! <3

  • Dude where can i get the tabs for your songs?

  • Such a great piece. It feels like when he plays, he just lets the song happen, lets it flow out of the guitar. Amazing

  • Very nice!

  • @ MelleB90

You're right: Andy McKee and Don Ross present a more impressive virtuoso tour-de-force; but this guy makes his guitar cry. It's more evocative because of its simplicity.

    /my $0.02

  • I feel like he's the only one who could play his compositions. He has such a gentle technique that really doesn't force the song. very refreshing to hear

  • can hear this music 100 times a day...fantastic

  • Another great one peter please keep them comming!!!!

  • Another versatile, brilliant guitarist is a Japanese man, name Kotaro. He does a great version of Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence. He's worth having a view of.

  • No offence but that doesn't really compare to some of the candyrat guys, it's okay but not nearly as interesting.

    Not trolling etc..

  • (was a response to "Oshio Kotaro - Merry Christmas Mister Lawrence", not to Peter Ciluzzi)

  • uuh amazing!!!!

  • The guitars he builds are as beautiful as the music he plays with them. He's amazing.

  • i love the darkness of this song. so creative too

  • I have been playing the guitar for a few months now and am learning this at the moment. It inspires me to just keep practising all the time. It's just an incredibly sombre but beautiful piece. Songs like this and 'Song for Stephen' by Antoine Dufour are the reason I pick my guitar up every day wanting to try and make any kind of sound which resembles this fantastic music.

  • This song is my new favorite from all of the candyrat guys. sweet overtones and sad bass notes make this a special song.

  • love the control u have in all your pieces, this ones grown on me a bit :)

  • bellissima:)

    -s

  • this is song

  • well done.

  • Beautiful stuff, shivers down the spine override any cerebral response! Thank you for your music!

  • Anyone know the tuning?

  • BbBbDGCE, like mentioned earlier.

I'm just trying to learn it by ear, too.

  • That loose string gives to PC's songs a particular feeling. I love Peter's work. I'm his fan.

  • Well Done!

  • Excellent song Peter, not heard much of his compositions. This song is great tho accidently came across this.

  • shivers of comfort**** D:

  • gave me shivers

    loved it :]

  • Wonderful song Peter.

    Keep Rocking On

  • amazing song this is proof that a song doesnt have to be hard to play to be amazing

so simple yet so deep and emotional

  • It's the kind of way you play it, like a simple song or to the perfection of a simple song...

  • reminds me anathema's fist record.

  • this guy can be as good as mckee don ross dufour or d`andrea.

    tecnic and deep feelings..

I could stay for houes listening to him, travelling with my mind and forgeting my problems...

thank your that, peter...geeting from portugal

  • ask Lucifer...he's good in such deals :)

  • @Frostyfan44

    no joke, that is true...

  • another beautiful song from this guy, i'm very surprised!

  • beautiful

  • wow! what i love in this guy work is the feeling in every chord he play

he makes those songs so peaceful and not with a espetacular technique but its the feeling what counts in his songs

and this song in particular is a true masterpiece!

  • Lindíssima... Ouvi diversas vezes, quase sem parar, apreciando cada acorde magistralmente tocado, com grande sentimento e perfeição. Parabéns e obrigado.

  • He is a great musician.

i play guitar and i wish one the i would play like him

    Cumpliments to everybody

  • he uses that tweeeng sound all the time.

    i liked it in nocturne

  • Amazing sir , Every time i sit at my computer i have to put this song on at least once to remind me the world can be a beutifull place from time to time

  • And in these days when those times are few and far between, music like this helps a lot.

  • incredible musician... strong feeling, with a personal style. This is very poetic.

  • oh man..this is one of the firsts things that i saw of him... i ignored his videos since allways `cause i was very busy listening to Mckee, Dufour and Don Ross... these Candyrat guys do not stop surprising me, everyone of them has a different style, and i like them all... It seems that i have a new musician who admire... Peter, your music is great, keep it on (excuse my writing errors, if there is any)

  • I just love Peters way to show us how the song is having an impact on him. Just look at the face expression at 1:10. It is as if he understand what the guitar is saying, and he acknowledges what it's trying to say.

    I love your music Peter!

  • Seems like someone got offended..

  • or jealous...

  • It figures, you're a satch fan...

  • I am...and a big Ciluzzi fan too. Love this stuff but I just find it tricky to get on board with people who read way too much into these things. It's a piece of amazing guitar composition and playing...period. Enjoy it I say, be inspired, have a go at it yourself but don't make it a super spiritual thing.

  • So you're saying that you aren't touched by this, or in fact any other guitar instrumental?

They're just pieces of great guitar playing that don't affect on you on any other level?

I feel kinda bad for you...

  • Satrianidream:

Don't degrade what you don't understand.

  • Satch is good too, but totally different in musical styles. They're both extremely talented musicians.

  • i love to see this guy playing with Opeth!!!

    thats epic!!! tangina talaga lupit

  • haha, thats the first thing I thought of when I heard this guy. OPETH!!!

  • same here :D

  • Opeth is like... a metal or sth like that band, right?

  • yeah but one of there albums (damnation) its all like this basicly, all acoustic and clean electic guitars and this sort of ambient style

  • is this cd "music without words" sold at futureshop in sydney??

  • sry to deceive you...

  • this one hell of a song!!! sounds great..

  • Candyrat is an amazing label, with amazing musicians. You can't compare any of them to one another. Comparing this man to Andy is like comparing Marilyn Manson to Garth Brooks..their music is that different.

  • Like all Candyrat contributors the common thread is they make it look so easy....damn them all.

Check the chord shapes at 2.16 - 2.19, ouch.

  • incredible song, everytime I hear this song I'm on a total catharsis

  • its true artists arent comparable. its just how you say it i guess. You cant say this artist is better, though you could say "i like this artist better".

  • you can't compare any of the artists in Candyrat, they all have unique styles and ways of adding a piece of them into their music. That's my oppinion! have a nice day/ from Sweden!

  • this man is very good.

but i do very so agree with the fact that andy mckee is better.

more experienced, as well as talented.

HOWEVER!, i did say this man is very good.

  • are you 12 years old? your ruining the song, with your belittling comments, even with how easy it is to reproduce pop music, you never hear comparisons as stupid as is michael jackson better than madonna? because its so dumb to do that, music is written to be enjoyed, im sorry you don't understand that

  • Love this

  • It's art.

  • they are completely different styles.. you can't even compare ?

  • Very Nice!

  • Just wondering if anyone else noticed how amazing this guy is... listen at 0:57 when he hits that harmonic with the other notes and lets it ring through the little business he does after it. It took me a few listens to notice it. That's the kinda stuff that makes music like this so nice to listen to. Guy is an Artisan in his trade known as sexy guitarness.

  • Either way, both EXTREMELY TALENTED. i think that when something is this good, judgement isnt possible. So i have to say that i agree Chaosspeed.

  • i agree with you there. you cant pit musicans against one another. especially musicans that arent making millions of dollars for two singles and a cd. thesse are professionals in every sense of the word. they studied and now they are showcasing thier knowledge. shit how hard is it to make a song with three chords and bitch about the goverment.

  • IWANNAROCK6666 - I don't know to whom that was pointed at or whatever, but you're getting nowhere with it.

  • Does anyone know the tuning?

  • This song is amazing and enriching!

  • magic...

  • The lead notes are really powerful but yet so subtle. Its an amazing song.

  • wow :O

  • hope i can learn to play like this someday...

  • pure talent

  • i agree jesselee0122

  • I love that song But what is the tuning

  • I hope everyone takes time to listen at least twice. You won't find skill like this anywhere else. Simply amazing.

  • This is a bless for our ears.. it sounds exactly like a "lament", great great job

  • great great great

    amazing music

  • I love his music...and I want to play one of his guitars someday.

  • They sound beautiful

  • That note at 1:06 gave me chills, I swear. Frikkin' amazing.

  • funny.. he's so good it looks like he isnt even playing it hah.

  • He should do film scores! Wow.

  • I love his music.

  • i love music without words

    it hits soo hard.

  • how does he do it??????

  • it's cool that candy rat supports also guitarists, who are playing a little bit more calm and not so fast-technique players like Dufour and McKee. Nice stuff

  • I need one of you guys with perfect pitch to lemme know the tuning. I opened my (official) tabs from Candyrat, and they must have forgot to list the tuning! AH I'm screwed!

  • the tuning is from low to high

    A A# D G C e

  • the tuning is from high to low

    Aslight# A# D G Ce

  • Just so you know, this song is played BbBbDGCE

I got Mr. Poland to help me out on that one ^^

  • i tried both those tunings

it just seems alittle too low

  • BbBbDGCE is the right tuning. I asked Mr. Poland himself (The owner of Candyrat Records) and that's the tuning he gave. So, when it comes from the owner, I'm willing to bed it's right XD

  • maybe my guitar just cant handle the tuning

    ha

  • aside from the "slight" those are the same tunings.... lol?

  • Bb is the enharmonic of A#. Same note.

That said, you are right. It's technically proper to call it Bb.

  • My bad, my knowledge of music isn't as thorough as that of you guys (Who have obviously studied the subject.) My theory is rubbish, but I'm working on it.

But yeah, for some reason that didn't even catch my eye until you just said that :S

But I still had no idea what "Aslight" would be... o.O

  • It's all good dude, I just wanted to clarify before 200 comments were made arguing back and forth about whether or not the top note was A# or Bb. Youtube arguments seriously make me want to kill people...

  • Tuning?

  • hes connected with this song...at 0:48

thats true emotions people...he remembers something just then...

  • All his songs are so deep.

  • wow! this is so deep and full of emotion if anyone know the proper tuning please post

  • com certeza existem fãs em todo mundo!

mais um brasileiro para se juntar e louvar a boa musica !

    virtuoso!

  • His song titles are so simple and so full of meaning at the same time. It really reflects how he plays.

  • So beautiful..

  • I was wondering if anyone could explain to me the fundamental difference between a baritone guitar and a "regular" guitar. are only the nut and saddle grooves wider to accomidate the larger-guage strings or are other structures different as well?

  • The body's bigger and the neck and scale length are longer, so it can be tuned lower than a standard guitar while still retaining the same amount of tension in the strings.

  • The basic principle of it is that it will play a lot lower than a "regular Guitar", specifically it will play a perfect fourth lower so on a baritone the "standard" tuning is B, as opposed to E

  • The basic principle of it is that it will play a lot lower than a "regular Guitar", specifically it will play a perfect fourth lower so on a baritone the "standard" tuning is B, as opposed to E

  • This guy is the best practicioner of string-stopping since Hedges... his stuff may seem easy to play, but his right hand technique is crazy

  • I'm not seein a lot of dampening on this song, and I use the tech extensively so I got a pretty good idea of how it sounds recorded, and I don't hear it on much of his other tunes. But Peter Ciluzzi is imo the best new fingerstyle guitarist... his pieces mean something, unlike a lot of the other guys who seem to be close to that, but not quite.

  • Mozart, chopin, Paganini, List; WISH they could convey emotion like Peter Ciluzzi!

  • easy there. Not even.

  • What I meant was so mush comming from such a simple thing; rather than an arsonal of instrumants.

  • ah i see.

  • actually that simple thing is rather expensive.

it would cost $10,000 in my country :(

  • Base price is $5,000. Still way too much for me atm... :(

  • hehe, liszt??? liszt made the piano sound pretty huge, man lol.

  • rythyms off on the bass line most of the song, makes you feel like he searching for the string

  • so much soul in this one. This is what true music is about. Straight from the heart.

  • this guys got some real feeling in his playing.

not flashy but full for sure. great stuff!

did candyrat sell their souls to get all the best guitarists on their label?

  • Utterly hypnotizing

  • If you have any doubts, listen to Ciluzzis songs a second or third time. They become a lot better and easy to listen to if you give it time.

    Awesome song!

  • You are totally right my friend!

They're not songs that instantly jump out but through listening.. apart from march I loved that song! I have found them to be complex and extremely well written!! Good Job Peter!

  • outstanding guitar skill.

  • I've bought the tabs for this song and it's great! but unfortunetly it doesn't have the "Tuning" labeled on the sheet music. I was wondering if somebody can tell me the tuning for this song.

  • Does anybody know what's the pickup used by Peter? Looks the same in other Candyrats' video of other players...

  • it kinda look like the fishman rare earth metal pickup, bu then again... they all kinda look like that.

  • the low Bb is a beauty - nice guitar!

  • this song is awesome

  • great music! 555 stars.. !

  • Amazingly good, utterly awesome, but man fadeouts are lame.

  • 6th string sounds a little sharp, but greta song of course

  • This guy's stuff just keeps getting better and better! DAMN!

  • sublime hombre de las cavernas! tenebroso talento y aromático instrumento.

  • LOVE IT, watch by 1 min love that part!

  • Simplismente uma música impressionante...

  • sugerente!

  • this room looks like a confessinal...catholic i presume! but not bad kid!!

  • Probably DADGAD

  • definitely not, way lower than that low E string seems likeits tuned down to a Bflat

  • does anyone know what kinda tuning he uses???

  • Mr. Poland, is there any way you could do a video with some of your artists on how they compose such beautiful melodies? It seems absolutely inhuman, and I just can't seem to do it. If you could get some of them to just make a kind of DVD on how they create their music, I'd buy it strait away.

  • yeah im with you, i would love to watch a dvd of the song writing process for these guys..there all amazing

  • I'm sorry, but that's really stupid... Sure, some songs are made like that, but not this kind of music. It's not like he could just look at a chord chart, pick a random one, find a picking pattern and go at it. There's too much heart and soul in it.

  • I'm on your side just6822 but isn't there a risk that the artists will percieve that as a justification of what they wrote? Some great songs and melodies just sound good.

  • SOME do... some of the greatest rock songs are extremely simple, the best example... Smoke On The Water, American Pie, all of these songs are amazingly simple, but I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say they'll think of my previous comment as justification of what they wrote...

  • some are even simpler than smoke on the water such as Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz

  • All of Lenny Kravitz's songs are simple, this is the kinda playing that just blows him out of the water.
