You know guys, this guy builds his own guitars. He can not only write and play amazing music, he can hand-make gorgeous instruments that are sold for thousands of dollars. Just another thing that makes him so amazing.
You're right: Andy McKee and Don Ross present a more impressive virtuoso tour-de-force; but this guy makes his guitar cry. It's more evocative because of its simplicity.
I feel like he's the only one who could play his compositions. He has such a gentle technique that really doesn't force the song. very refreshing to hear
Another versatile, brilliant guitarist is a Japanese man, name Kotaro. He does a great version of Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence. He's worth having a view of.
I have been playing the guitar for a few months now and am learning this at the moment. It inspires me to just keep practising all the time. It's just an incredibly sombre but beautiful piece. Songs like this and 'Song for Stephen' by Antoine Dufour are the reason I pick my guitar up every day wanting to try and make any kind of sound which resembles this fantastic music.
Lindíssima... Ouvi diversas vezes, quase sem parar, apreciando cada acorde magistralmente tocado, com grande sentimento e perfeição. Parabéns e obrigado.
Amazing sir , Every time i sit at my computer i have to put this song on at least once to remind me the world can be a beutifull place from time to time
oh man..this is one of the firsts things that i saw of him... i ignored his videos since allways `cause i was very busy listening to Mckee, Dufour and Don Ross... these Candyrat guys do not stop surprising me, everyone of them has a different style, and i like them all... It seems that i have a new musician who admire... Peter, your music is great, keep it on (excuse my writing errors, if there is any)
I just love Peters way to show us how the song is having an impact on him. Just look at the face expression at 1:10. It is as if he understand what the guitar is saying, and he acknowledges what it's trying to say.
I am...and a big Ciluzzi fan too. Love this stuff but I just find it tricky to get on board with people who read way too much into these things. It's a piece of amazing guitar composition and playing...period. Enjoy it I say, be inspired, have a go at it yourself but don't make it a super spiritual thing.
Candyrat is an amazing label, with amazing musicians. You can't compare any of them to one another. Comparing this man to Andy is like comparing Marilyn Manson to Garth Brooks..their music is that different.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed how amazing this guy is... listen at 0:57 when he hits that harmonic with the other notes and lets it ring through the little business he does after it. It took me a few listens to notice it. That's the kinda stuff that makes music like this so nice to listen to. Guy is an Artisan in his trade known as sexy guitarness.

It's all good dude, I just wanted to clarify before 200 comments were made arguing back and forth about whether or not the top note was A# or Bb. Youtube arguments seriously make me want to kill people...
I was wondering if anyone could explain to me the fundamental difference between a baritone guitar and a "regular" guitar. are only the nut and saddle grooves wider to accomidate the larger-guage strings or are other structures different as well?
