Yes this is a great first time bike for noobs. Just respect the power and you will do fine.

It is reasonably less powerful than the FZ6, but still very nervous at high revs. If you are aware of the danger, you will take it easy, otherwise it can send you to a coffin real quick.

I rode the FZ6 and I wouldn't recommend as 1st bike, but this one has 25HP less (100 X 75) and is easier to handle. Just take care.

I seriously doubt that they'll retire the FZ6. Kawasaki will fill that gap quickly with a new ER6 model
