I would've put a layer of cloth between the frame and the mesh, just to make it a bit more colorful and something more luxurious... :P It looks a little empty and scrap-metally with just the bare wall behind it. :P

You could also go to a hardware store and ask if they have any used screen from screen windows they have fixed. My hardware store always has some ^_^

hey kate!! i made the same ort of thing lastsmmer with an old cupboard door!! and made my own hooks!!! YAY!! i should make a video and do another!! i used big hooks of the bottom for belts and scarfs!!

Oh, I also spray painted mine black and then took green fabric paint (couldn't find my acrylic) and rubbed it into the molded design and wiped the excess off. It turned out so awesome. =)
